This is our second stay and we were welcomed back like old friends. I highly recommend this family run guest house they go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The guest house is ideally situated for the beach (less than a five minute walk), plus retail therapy at Tunisia Mall. Please see my previous review.

The stuff is so nice and very welcoming.

The hosts are excellent, they displayed such kindness and went over and beyond to accommodate us. The setting is quaint and you literally walk around the corner to the beach. The locals take pride in the beach and can be seen cleaning it themselves and pointing out to others when they have left something behind. As such the beach is clean and we found a real warm community feel to this small section of beach. Make sure you take your own provisions of food and drink as you don't get many local vendors on this section. You are walking distance from the shopping centre where you can find bakeries, phone shops, cinema, monoprix. The monoprix stocks all the essentials including pork products if you require in a separate fridge. The pharmacy can also be found in the centre and is excellent.

Said was a lovely host who gave us lots of recommendations for the local area, many of which we tried and enjoyed very much 😊 the guest house was lovely and spacious, with a beautiful courtyard and roof terrace. Great value for money and would recommend to couples or solo travellers.

I liked the property and the welcome of the owners but disappointed that they didn't clean the room at all for the 7 days I was there and no bedding or towels changed.

Said and Fatens Guesthouse is a special place! We were given information on how to reach them from the airport and Said waited up for us and gave us a tour and some great tips. The location is fantastic for going to the beach (2min), walking to Sidi Bou Said (30min) or taking the train to Tunis (30 min). We loved all the details in the appartment and the courtyard was our favorite place. Wifi worked great and the rooms were clean. We will definetely come back!

The guesthouse is a located in a quiet and leafy residential area close to La Marsa beach. The apartment we stayed at was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of storage space for longer stays. The outdoor sitting area/garden was lovely and the owners were friendly and allowed a very late check-in, which was much appreciated. The guesthouse is close to many cafes, restaurants and supermarkets (very handy, especially when visiting during Ramadan when most eateries are closed).

The kitchen was not private as communicated to us via our reservation. As a family with a young child we wanted to have a kitchen within the apartment, not outside (for obvious reasons), so we ended up not using it (the fridge in the apartment came in very handy). We also did not get the apartment we had reserved for the first night upon arrival, but instead got a very small one without a shower, which was not at all decent. Some very early morning noise (cleaning lady?) at 6.30-7am came from the owner's apartment upstairs on some days during our week-long stay.

I couldn't believe I had an entire apartment to myself for this price - I felt as if I could have stayed longer than one night. Family were very friendly and offered me soup as I arrived in the evening. Balcony was nice as was the view. I had a peaceful sleep. Great location.

Nothing I didn't like

Very close to the beach and a few minutes from the center of town. The property has an incredible courtyard with tons of places to sit and enjoy a coffee, plus a friendly cat. Great value, great location.

We had a great time. The owner is very helpful and a great host. Very nice Garden. Location is perfect in 1 min walk to the beach and to Marsa. Parking was no Problem in that street.

I loved the location with the rooftop to enjoy the morning sunlight. Really calm area. Room comfortable. The welcome from the owners is really nice, helpful and meeting the needs. I highly recommend especially if you want to enjoy the sea and the closeness of all facilities from the town

The hosts are amazing. They were very welcoming and fun to speak with and give advice. They even drive us to the famous area. Wish I stayed in Tunis longer so I can spend more time there. Also, the price is unbeatable. Great wifi connection!

Traditional house , and excellent location. the hosts are very warm and friendly and was willing to accommodate me when I asked to extend my stay. They provided me accommodation for a night in their emergency set up in the living room because they wrote booked for the other rooms during my stay.

unfortunately I have allergies to cat. They have a. at in the house and I couldn’t stay in the room where the cat visited frequently.

a few mosquitos in my room (understandable with the leafy garden and close to the sea)- I would just suggest to make some spray available :)

We had stayed at The 18 La Marsa Guest House a few days prior. Our experience was so positive that we decided to cancel our reservation at Sousse and rebook our last night in Tunisia with The 18. Our hosts were extremely helpful and on both stays we had great conversations with them. The accommodations are cozy and comfortable but more importantly ever so convenient to the airport. This is the perfect location for anyone who is departing from Tunis airport in the morning, whether you have a rental car (as we did) or not.
