Nice weekend of lake time. Would return in the future.

We live in the Sacramento area but wanted to get away, so we chose to stay here as it was only an hour drive but felt like we were in Tahoe with the beautiful trees and Donner lake close by. It was a nice respite but only took one hour to get home!
I highly recommend and would stay again! Great for families.

Had a great experience at Sandra's house. Communication was great and prompt. House was perfect location of lake, half way from both ends. The Donner party museum, and nature walk is amazing. Fishing on west end beach was great with many activities for the family.

Sandra was amazing and her home was perfect for our family of 4 on a ski trip, great proximity to skiing and town, the house was very cosy and fully stocked. We will definitely stay again!

We had a great stay here in February 2024. It was plenty of space for our family of four with two small kids and grandparents. There were plenty of towels and blankets as well as kitchen supplies. The pots and pans are old and very used, but we made it work. The driveway is very steep, but we managed even with snow throughout our stay. We loved being able to walk down to the lake, stay cozy on the couch, and share meals together.

Lovely, clean and comfortable home. Located a block off Donner lake and close to downtown Truckee and skiing. Kitchen is well stocked and beds are very comfortable. Relaxing evenings for drinking wine, playing games ( there are quite a few oldies but goodies). Overnight snow but a plow came and cleared driveway in the morning! Nice to have a garage to park in and close enough to walk to a small market with a great wine selection and a breakfast joint next door. Looking forward to staying there again!

Loved the location, Lake Donner is beautiful and close to ski areas and Truckee. House was perfect for my family with young children, the kids loved the bunk bed room. Well stocked and lots of games etc for your use. Would 100% recommend.

My girls weekend at Sandra’s house was wonderful. Everything we needed and great space for all of us. The only piece I would have added was a couple of extra mirrors- even full length. When 6 of us ladies were getting ready to go out to dinner it made it a little challenging with only the 2 vanity mirrors. But otherwise it was perfect and we didn’t want to leave.

Perfectly close to the lake for some swimming, and walking distance to Donner State Park. Also discovered the little grocery a couple blocks away which is handy if you just need a couple things. Hopefully we can go back someday.

Perfect cabin with kids. Walking distance to market, breakfast spot and public pier. Short drive to West End beach as well as Donner museum and hikes. We would love to rent from Sandra again.

Nice well maintained house. Perfect for a quiet getaway from the hustle/bustle of bay area. The keyless front door is flaky, we used the garage door opener most of the time, no big deal

We had a shorter stay than planned due to weather. The house had all the convenience that we were looking for and we had a great time. The parking garage can be a challenge for extra large SUVs (regular SUVs will be fine).
Sandra was extremely accommodating and on top of all the communication every single time, really appreciated it.

My friends and I had an amazing stay here. Place was super clean and i plenty of things to do while we were stuck in a blizzard. Sandra was super helpful. She was available for calls whenever i had questions. Definitely would want to come back again.

Wonderful, cozy spot in friendly neighborhood. We encountered winter storms and Sandra extended our stay as long as she could. Neighbors were particularly friendly and helpful. One note is to make sure you are ready to navigate a more intense driveway.

Really lovely home to stay when you are in the Truckee area - plenty of room and all the amenities that you could ask for. Sandra, the host, provided detailed instructions and was easy to communicate with and her son was also very responsive and helpful. We hope to return in the future!

Very lovely place. It was clean. Sandra responds very quick (before, during, and even after the stay). The tall garage door is great. It fits a lifted truck with roof cargo box. The pictures definitely do not do this home justice.
Heads up on the driveway during winter season - It could be tricky with multiple cars. Sandra did mention about the icy steep driveway in check in instructions.

I love the location of this house. It's next to 4 ski resorts and many ice tubing spots. We never had to get on the main road, just a beautiful scenic drive on Donner lake. There were 7 of us and we were quite comfortable. The host was fantastic and was quick to reply to my questions. The place was clean I hope to stay here again.

The host had all the amenities to host our family of 7. We were able to cook a meal there and room to spread out in the living room. There was even a WII that my teens and young adults enjoyed playing. We were able to walk to the local store to pick some items. Donner Lake State Park is nearby. What a beautiful lake! We were able to play on the beach, go fishing and rent jet skis all in one spot. It was a great vacation.

What a great find! Swim friends and I had a great time staying close to home, walking to swim at the lake, and cooking in the well equipped kitchen. Definitely coming back.

Kitchen and bathrooms were very good. Did not realize how many stairs there were! And that there was no air conditioning. It was very warm. 2 bedrooms had ceiling fans, one did not and it was too uncomfortable for sleeping.

The house was everything it was advertised as. Oversized garage is great for bikes, boards, etc.

Sandra was very accomodating. we had delayed the trip due to covid and fires in the past years. the house had all we needed to enjoy our time. bbq worked great. plenty of board games. has extra hdmi so you can link up your own apple tv or nintendo switch. if you walk down to the main road, and go left, plenty of access to the public piers. would stay here again.

Each summer we select a stay for our grandkids to join us either in the mountains or by the ocean. Enjoyed the stay but a little disappointed in location. Thought we would have access to the lake, but that was a small chance at a spot on a very small deck. True access was via State Parks for a fee. Would have appreciate better info on that.

The house was perfect for coming and going to all the activities (Hiking,
Mt. Biking, paddlebaording and visiting town) while in Truckee and it had all the amenities for a nice trip.

We stayed for two nights and it was just what we hoped for. Quiet, comfortable, clean. We had just gotten married and were looking for a nice place to decompress. Walking distance from public piers and a few minutes drive to downtown Truckee this place was exactly what we were looking for.

We had a wonderful stay. Communication was great and we found the house to look exactly as advertised. The house was very clean and well equipped. The proximity to the lake and downtown Truckee was perfect. We will definitely be back!
