Beautiful light and airy apartment perched above the sea with stunning views to Portofino, Chiavari and beyond. Cable car down to the pool, private access to the sea. Plenty of space to relax on the rocks and ladders into the water. Large terrace and front room, great for eating, relaxing and watching the world go by. Two big double bedrooms with fabulous views, plus a much smaller single room. Small but well equipped kitchen. Garage parking for a small car.

Access to both the apartment and sea is not straightforward. Driving down to the apartment means navigating a number of steep slopes in both forward and reverse gears to negotiate the hairpin bends. Access to the pool and sea is via a cable car and several steep flights of steps. Great for the adventurous, more challenging for those with small children or limited mobility.

The views were amazing

Too difficult to get to beach or pool as too high up Need to take cable cart down Bed was so uncomfortable

maybe need to change the mattress and the garage parking took some time :)

the view, the funicular, and the peaceful setting

beds were very hard, and the air conditioning unit in the bedroom didn’t work
