We loved our stay! We have two children, seven years old and five years old, and the house was a perfect fit. House was very close to Butternut, an easy drive in the morning to the slopes, and also close to restaurants and shops for post-skiing activity. I would highly recommend the house and will likely stay again!

We spent 3 nights at the cabin and it was the perfect hideout in the woods for 6 adults and 2 grand kids. We spent most of our time on the main level between the open kitchen and the living room with a roaring fire. The downstairs with the TV and pool table worked out great for the world cup game. The owners were very accommodating and communication was great. It snowed the entire weekend but that just made it more cozy. We VRBO every December for 8 years and the family said this was their favorite place.

Jim is a great communicator and ensured we had another great stay. This is a 5-star property that is clean, comfortable and has many nice amenities.

We were a family of 5 adults and one infant looking for a secluded property August 2022 and this cabin did not disappoint. We spent alot of time on The spacious screened deck during the warm daytime hours to cool off, and we enjoyed the outdoor area and hot tub too. Everyone was able to find a comfortable space to work or play. Great set up in the basement for family movie nights. Would definitely consider it for a winter visit as well.

Nicely furnished large comfortable house with gorgeous property. Lots of privacy. Loved the screened in porch and the outdoor shower. A beautiful place to enjoy the Berkshires.

We had an amazing weekend skiing in the Berkshires. The home is spacious, well appointed, clean and is perfectly located! The host was accessible and responsive. Hot tub and basement were amazing! Highly recommend and would definitely go back!

Couldn’t have been a more perfect home for our family and some friends to gather for a weekend! Super close to Butternut, super close to town, large, nicely decorated rooms, tons of DVD’s, great game basement, main floor had great CD’s with speakers in kitchen and main room, lots of firewood, showers with great pressure and nice and hot, great large kitchen table ……x I could go on and on. Will defiantly be going back!!

We truly enjoyed our weekend stay at this lovely home in the Berkshires. The property is stunning and the house is spacious with a beautiful wood burning fireplace. The large finished basement with a pool table and TV was really fun on a cold Saturday night. Very convenient to ski at Butternut. Owners were so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Can’t wait to return in the summer!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The house was clean, comfortable, and spacious. My kids (2 and 6) loved the stay and were sad when we had to leave. So close to butternut and downtown great barrington which is great. Would love to experience the cabin in a different season next time. Jim was very helpful and provided simple instructions for check in and check out.

We had a wonderful friends get away in this lovely home in the Berkshires. Able to do a nice walk from the house, great pool table, hot tub and fire pit. Could use a little better reading light in the living room but otherwise it was perfect. Owners were very easy to reach!

You cannot go wrong ! Stay here !! You feel at home the moment you arrive. So easy to just relax and enjoy the surroundings or everything the Berkshires has to offer. Beds are comfortable , showers are great. You won’t want to leave !!

Six of us (seniors) had a great weekend at the cabin. We enjoyed the living room and a wonderful fireplace , the pool table where a fierce tournament took place, and the large kitchen/ dining room area where we cooked, ate, and played games. There is plenty of room to move about inside and the outdoor area is beautifully landscaped. We didn’t take advantage of the hot tub, but it looked to be in great shape.. The house is perfect in every way with lots of room to spread out. Jim was very prompt and professional in his communications. A great stay in a beautiful part of the state. I look forward to returning to this property next year.

Lisa & Jim's "cabin" is a true oasis! The house is spacious, well appointed, and fully stocked. Our family (kids, parents, grandparents) all had a great time at the house and the area. The covered patio with long table was great for family meals, and we enjoyed hanging out in the finished basement and playing pool when the kiddos went to sleep upstairs. The house was well located and an easy drive to Great Barrington for shops, restaurants, and groceries. Communication with our hosts was fantastic, and we especially appreciated the detailed instructions and local information provided in advance and in the home. Would love to stay again!

The Monterey house was great and reflected the photos and reviews well. Back patio, hot tub area and grounds were even larger and nicer than expected. It’s a log cabin-like experience but refined and not too rustic. Great quiet, woodsy location marred only by construction next door, which I assume will be over soon. Well-stocked kitchen, great game room and TV area in basement. Spent more time in the large, comfortable screened porch than the big room with the fireplace because of the time of year. Only complaint would be the mellow, amber-toned lighting, which added ambience at the cost of utility, but not a deal breaker by any means. Berkshires location was relaxed, beautiful and full of interesting activities to venture out for.

We enjoyed our stay at Lisa and Jim's cozy home. The home was conveniently located, and the property was very quiet and private. The large screened in porch was the perfect place to gather with friends for dinner. The downstairs game room was also a bonus when our concert at Tanglewood got rained out!

Beautiful log cabin in a very private setting. Great hosts and well equipped home. We will definitely come back.

Easy to rent, hard to leave!!!

My family and I loved this house. Even though unexpected rain put a damper on most of our weekend plans, the house more than made up for it with plenty of indoor amenities to keep us entertained. Especially the pool table! The host was very communicative before and during our stay, and the house is a short drive from great restaurants and other fun attractions. Would definitely rent it again!

Such a wonderful home, which is well equipped and has great game selection. It was the perfect spot to be able to connect with friends. The home is lovely, the property is beautiful, and it’s close to some terrific hikes and lakes. Already looking for a weekend we can go back!

This property is as advertised and a great place to get away with your family. We loved the basement game room, hot tub, fire pit and more. Close by to many hiking trails and towns. Perfect - just as described

We had a great stay at this cabin sand would gladly come back. The property is large and private but the town is just a short drive away so you have the best of both worlds. Our group consisted of two families with a total of 7 people. We all enjoyed great meals that we prepared in the fully stocked kitchen and we spent lots of time enjoying the recreational amenities. The outdoor hot tub was clean and we used this on two occasions. The basement has a full game room and we spent several hours hanging out here during a rainy day. The 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were all spacious and there was plenty of space for our group of 7 to spread out and not be on top of each other. Jim was also in touch prior to our stay and he was very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for something in the Berkshires.

Bright, warm and cozy. We especially loved the hot tub and pool table.

The log “cabin” (really a house) was nicely furnished, very clean and has a good layout. The living room is cozy with beautiful stone fireplace. Great location. Owner was very attentive. There was an issue with the hot tub and he had it looked at the next day. Only issues are that guests are instructed to bring their own towels if possible because the washing machine isn’t working well, fridge wasn’t sufficiently emptied of food (shelves in the fridge door were full) dishes and cutlery although adequate could use an upgrade - many dishes are chipped & cutlery mismatched. A couple of lampshades were torn and taped together. Overall, the cabin was nicely furnished and comfortable. We had a nice stay and enjoyed ourselves.

We spent three separate weekends here in January and February and had a great time. The house was warm and cozy in the winter and the added bonus of a hot tub was great. The owner was very friendly and responded whenever we had questions. We were there to ski at Butternut which is less than 10 minutes away and couldn't have been easier to get to. I would highly recommend this rental!

What a fabulous property! Spent just a few days with the family and it was perfect. Communication was great and the property was even better. Highly recommend.

Our family (two adults and four kids ages 12-18) wanted to get away for a few nights between Christmas and New Year's. Couldn't have picked a better spot. House is in perfect condition -- cozy "cabin" vibes everywhere // downstairs pool table, darts and games to keep everyone busy in the evening // huge fireplace // a hot tub (big seller for our kids) that provided the perfect end to a day hiking, skiing or tubing nearby. And so on. I will also say that Jim (the owner) was incredibly helpful. He checked in via text to make sure we got in ok, texted the next day to make sure things were going well -- he even jumped on a quick call with me when I had questions about various hiking locations in the area. Couldn't ask for a better "long distance host." Highly recommended rental!

This cabin is even better than described! It was the perfect winter getaway-- complete with hot tub, fireplace, large kitchen for cooking family meals, pool table and movies. Jim made sure our every need was anticipated and we felt well taken care of, as he made himself available for all our questions about the property and surrounding area. I can't recommend this property highly enough!
