I loved the stay in Eden. The rooms are very comfortable, food was great and the premises are so green and full of animals and life. You feel safe there and the service is wonderful, the staff very responsive.

I really enjoyed the stay. The service is incredible, I felt like really being taken care of. I found immediate help when wanted to iron my shirt or ask for anything. The bar area is very cosy and the food is great. It was beyond my expectations.

Eden Estates is beautiful and relaxing. The grounds are well kept and the pond with nature is very tranquil.

Visiting during rainy season will give you a muddy experience as the parking lot and walkways flood.

You can avoid the restaurant. Quality is not up to par with the price that they are asking. We asked for breakfast at 08.00h, but were still waiting at 08.30h even though we were the only guest in the hotel.

They offer a cottage at this website and their own website on which they say it has a pool and poolview. It looks like you have your own pool. The pictures you see, do not mee the reality and the description on booking.com is not correct. When checking in, they told us, that that cottage was the house of the manager! (the why put it on your website) We paid a lot for a cottage with pool, poolview and a washingmachine, but this is not for the cottage, but for the appartments. The appartments have poolview (private pool, in which the dayguests from outside can not swim) but the private pool was not cleaned. The pool where people from outside can come, was clean. But on Sundays it's very noisy. And the appartments have a shared washingmachine. When we went to the reception, they said they could do nothting about it and we misunderstood, but we could e-mail the resort headoffice. We e-mailed booking.com right away. In the meatime we had a few time no electricity and the last evening, the lightbulbs were popping out of the sealing. They said it was too dangerous to stay in the cottage, so we got 2 appartments for the last night. We told this at the reception when we left. That if we knew all of this before, we would have booked the appartment, or never booked with Eden. They told us to e-mail the manager and headquarters. When at home, I e-mailed the manager of Eden Estates and the headquarters. I e-mailed them 5 times the last months. They do not respond or give a reaction. This was not the best end of our holiday.

the grounds were pleasant

the pool was dirty as the pump wasn’t working so we were unable to use it until the last afternoon’s. the cottage we had should not have been let ou it wasn’t in a fit state.

Eden Estates is a beautiful getaway for those living in the city. The grounds are very peaceful and well kept. Our family enjoyed the pool and the burgers are delicious! The beds are large and comfortable. We felt safe and welcome and will return.

The shower in one room was spraying towards the wall, making it difficult to use. My husband woke up to ants in his hair and on his pillow. In Malawi, we know there will be some bugs in our rooms, we expect this. But not much was said or done when we told reception. As well, the pool is lovely, but not the cleanest pool in Lilongwe. Breakfast was simple, but included in the price so we liked that.

The deluxe double rooms were the best thing about this place. The grounds could be amazing with some TLC

On arrival we were informed that our rooms had been overbooked but later found out they had been given to walk-ins. Out of the 13 in our party 8 we’re given double rooms, 1 was given an apartment and 4 of us a 2 bedroomed house that wasn’t in any state to have people staying in. After seeing the house, I complained to the reception that we didn’t have any power and that the patio doors didn’t lock and requested that we be moved. They said they would try to move us but only had one apartment available. We said that 2 of the 4 would take that only to be told later that same afternoon that it was no longer available as they had given it to a walk-in couple! When power came on in the house the next morning we found out that in one of the en-suite bathrooms none of the lights worked and only one bulb out of four worked in our bedroom, again we complained to reception. We all went to eat in the restaurant and were informed that there was only chicken or pork and that a member of staff had been sent to buy more items. At breakfast there was a very limited supply of basic items such as beans! On inspecting the pool area there were only 6 sun beds and the pump in the pool was broken, therefore it was dirty and unable to be used. On check in we were asked to pay upfront for our rooms which in hindsight was a huge mistake. The en-suite lights were fixed the night before check out but we didn’t know because we didn’t have any power that night again so had cold showers. Apparently the power goes off around 8am and does not come back on until 6pm which is useless when you need to get ready to go out. I wrote a brief letter including all our issues and was told we would be refunded the difference in cost from our original booking to what they had charged us as if they were doing us a favour. I am currently waiting for the refund and compensation for all the things that didn’t not work and lack of pool facilities.

The Restaurant must be perfect during hot season, because it is open to one side; therefore cold during cold season- you have to wear a jacket

The environment, the beautiful garden. The BBQ menu was great, the pool is nice.

The appartment was next to the kind of kitchen, so really noisy in the morning. The mattress was too old, it had a hole in the middle and wasn't confortable at all. In the advert, i thought I read there was a bathtub: there is none. Some lights did not work.

The receptionists were very disorganised on our arrival. They couldnt find our booking, then couldnt operate the Credit Card machine. Our breakfast order was taken the night before, but was forgotten. We had to go to the recption 45mins later to enquire. Also there were no Covid protocols in place.

The apartments are beautiful and very good value

The restaurant continues to have a very limited and overpriced menu. The food quality is consistently poor to the point it makes it off-putting to stay there.

The environment.

The sweeping pool, the ants in the rooms and the bed was not comfy. Some of the foods on the menu are missing and others had stayed for long.

Natural environment, clean rooms, and serene. Breakfast was also good. Perfect place to go with family for a retreat. I would also recommend it to all who love nature and serene environment.

The gardens are very well kept. Staff is very courteous and nice. Food is good, albeit not amazing. Rather expensive too. Amazing place for children. The pool, gardens and park are perfect for the little ones. Quality-price is rather good, since most other hotels in the city and more expensive, and don’t have such lovely grounds. Really truly relaxing grounds. lots of trees with tables strewn about. No sound but the music from the pool and nature.

So many mosquitos in the room. Even putting poison at night, they still come into the room at night. Rooms must not be too well sealed. Bedsheets are rather filthy. And we stayed some time, they had a hard time replacing basic items such as soap and toilet paper. I had to ask for it. A little busy on weekends, since the estate allows people to pay for the pool day use. Wi-Fi is very limited. If you happen to be here alone, maybe you can convince them to leave the Wi-Fi modem in your room. Otherwise you’ll probably have no internet. It’s not that far from the city, but people don’t know where the hotel is, and won’t go to it in case you need something. Pool guy kept starting to clean the pool at 10:30, tight when we wanted to use it, and took his time, taking up to 2 hours. After some days I just ignored him and entered the pool while he was cleaning. He is there from 7am. why can’t he clean the pool before it gets hot and people want to use it is beyond me. Probably just doesn’t care.
