The apartment is lovely; very spacious, clean, excellently furnished and maintained with a great range of amenities, including a cot and high chair, alongside a washing machine and excellent hanging space to dry clothes - ideal for a family holiday. We arrived at 1am but were easily able to claim our key from a safety deposit box; there's also a spare key within the apartment if you need to go out in smaller groups. The apartment is close to several convenience stores which sell pretty much everything you'd need for a holiday at fair prices, while there is also a good selection of restaurants and bars down by the harbour. We really liked the Sant'Antnin Family Park, just a short walk from the apartment, which has several children's play areas, a small football pitch, an animal park and clean toilets - and it's all free. The airport is less than 15 minutes' drive away and most of the island's key tourist sites are within half an hour's drive at non rush hour times (Valetta, Sliema, Mdina, Ta'Qali National Stadium) and even the port to catch the Gozo ferry is less than an hour away, despite being at the opposite end of the island. Stephen helpfully advised us not to try and travel there at weekends in order to avoid the traffic and we had a very enjoyable and straightforward drive there on a weekday instead.

We had no problems at all with the accommodation. It's just worth noting that the steep gradients of the estate where the property is located (along with the general condition of the pavements/roads, coupled with the need to get up steps to access the apartment) may make it difficult for wheelchair users or anyone who is generally infirm, but we found it OK with a buggy for our five-month-old baby. All the street parking is free, but you have to be patient at times to find a space; you can usually get a space near the apartment during the working day when people are out, but you have to be prepared to park a couple of streets away if you return home in the evening and it's busy. The hosts helpfully let you block their garage by arrangement if you need to, which is good of them.
