Absolutely nothing.
Owner sent details via email rather than booking.com messaging. 7 page PDF document with out-of-date contact details for his local property manager (contacted her, but she referred us back to owner in USA) which was virtually unreadable on mobile phone screen. Failed to advise any KeySafe PIN, so we could not gain access to the property. Contacted the owner via email and whatsapp but had no response for several hours, so had to book emergency accommodation elsewhere.
When owner did get in contact, seemed more concerned about changing the KeySafe PIN than the fact we were locked out of the property and now in a hotel instead.
Whole experience feels like we'd been scammed. Non-existent response from Booking.com also really unacceptable. Full refund required.

Great sea view ,comfortable clean flat . Everything you need was supplied. Good shower. Comfortable bed, good clear instructions from Mark . Everything was working perfect with clear
Instructions, Key box was abit hard to undo, Very quiet area. right next to train station. Safe secure parking. Plenty of eating and drinking places. Welcome scones.milk and fudge was a nice gesture. We have had a very enjoyable week.

The apartment was situated in the centre of Dawlish . There was a dedicated parking space so we were able to leave it there and make use of the local train and bus services.

As in previous stays the flat was very clean and exceptionally well equipped. Instructions for use of flat and equipment was also very helpful. The welcome gifts of cream tea and fudge were such a lovely thought and so appreciated. The location of the flat is also very good as near to railway station and the view from living room of river and sea is wonderful.

In short, everything. The apartment is in a nice location and is comfortable with pretty much everything that you need. The beach is only a stones throw away with a decent selection of restaurants and shops nearby. For anything else a quick train, bus or car ride widens the options to other towns and cities. The bus stop is just over the road and the station is around the corner.
Nothing that comes to mind, except for our holiday coming to an end all to soon.

In short everything. The attention to detail was the best I'd ever seen. Cool bag, picnic hamper, beach towels (as well as bathroom towels) for good weather days. Board games, books, DVDs for bad weather days. Plus everything you'd find in your own home. Most properties I've stayed in lack certain things that you need and it's obvious the owners have never stayed in them as otherwise they would've realised what was needed. However, I got the impression that the owner or their family must have stayed or lived in this property as all the things you need when staying somewhere were all there down to the smallest detail.
Nothing really. The only thing that would've been nice was a DAB digital radio as the FM / MW radio didn't pick up much and the digital TV only had BBC radio stations, which I don't like. Very much personal choice and I certainly wouldn't mark the property down for this. If that's all I can think of then they've done really well!

This is a delightful place with a really helpful owner. Has all the facilities you could need and is really clean and comfortable. I love staying here and will keep returning. Truly lovely, with great views. The cream scone as a welcome is a lovely touch.

There was a very good amount of space. plenty of heat in the winter with lots of warm blankets and heaters if needed. Bed was plenty comfortable for us. kitchen was well equipped. We were greeted with a bottle of champagne and come chocolates on the bed on arrival which was so sweet!! It has a very homely feel and was decorated for the holidays which was awesome! :) The hallway to get there is quite shabby but does not indicate the state of the apartment. As soon as you walk in the apartment door it’s very nice!
This is not the fault of the owner but if your a light sleeper be prepared to hear music from the bar next door every night until about 10pm when they seem to close.

We really enjoyed our few days in Dawlish.
The apartment was spacious and comfortable.
A real effort was made to make it welcoming and convenient. Excellent location for the nearby sea front, beach and gardens.
The property itself is well maintained and well planned, but the communal entrance could do with tidying up -it is clearly work in progress.
Could do with a coffee machine.
Directions were clear – but it was still difficult to locate the parking space.

The apartment was like a home from home, and had everything we needed as a family to enjoy our stay.
Everything you need is on your door step and within walking distance.
The lady in the souvenir shop was a lovely lady, and gave our 2 girls a look pop.
We will be visiting again.

The work to the stairwell needs to be completed,. The outside door was often ‘on the latch’ although we had closed it in our way in. The front door needs a door number, and a better adjusted closer, it was so stiff my mother who I was travelling with couldn’t open the door.

The access to the apartment was appalling, with a lot of stairs which were not described by the owner. The shared area was dirty and tatty, leaving everything to be desired. If you have any infirmity or large suitcases beware.

The property was ideal for my purposes and this was my second visit. As a railway photographer, the location is spot on. The kitchen is well equipped and it is only a few minutes walk to the Co-op supermarket for provisions.
No fault at all of the owner but other occupants of the building constantly left the front door unlocked or it wasn't closed properly. Also to note is that due to construction work on the sea wall, the path which you can usually join by the station to walk to Dawlish Warren is closed until about July. You can join the path at Black Bridge but it is not for those with mobility issues as there is no step free access.

Prime location with an incredible view! Central to everything in town and right by the train station. The owner is very thorough with instructions and incredibly accommodating. I'm definitely coming back!

The view and it is conveniently located in the centre of the town. The cream tea and the milk in the fridge were welcoming.
The storage heaters were not adequate for cold weather and the bedroom heater was not working. the hot water in the bathroom sink was very poor. The layer of dust in the bedroom and dirt under the bureau made us question the cleanliness of the whole property. clearly this is not a flat to stay 8n in the winter.

Amazing view and location, Mark and Lisa were extremely helpful.
Loved the cream tea on arrival and Mark had done an info folder of the town on places to go and things to try. Nice personal touch, really helpful.
I feel bad for giving this review but the property wasn’t the cleanest, kitchen and bathroom were good but there was heavy build up of dusk/fluff under the cabinets and around all the skirting boards etc particularly in the bedrooms which is clearly viable and definitely not good if your asthmatic, also the entrance/stairs although under going badly needed renovation it could still be cleaned to a better standard especially as it is the first impression of where you’re about to stay ☹️ we took our mum as a surprise so on entering it was not a great start to the holiday,
It is a real shame as it is a lovely place.

Beds were uncomfortable. Did have a warning about communal hall being redone but that didnt impact at all. Having £35 taken off for cleaning was a bit of a kick. Dust all over lounge.

I Liked the location and the apartment had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, it was clean on arrival and staying with 3 young kids in this apartment was very easy all the facilities I needed was there.

Location was excellent, bed was very comfy & overall good value for money & there was parking which was very good the amount of little extras that you normally forget to take but were there waiting for you was excellent, especially the cream tea, views spectacular.
Would have liked a small freezer department in fridge for ice, should be mentioned that there are many flights of stairs, would be very difficult for older people. Also purely my opinion but a bit cluttered with furniture which was not required , would make it look much more airy & possibly once gone to put extra single bed in bedroom to make it a family room.

The place is in need of updating and was concerned about the fire exit . There is no way my partner and i could have escaped down the chain ladder out the window . There is an alarm system but no proof this is maintained . The bathroom sink tap is completely useless and the flat was dusty and had long dark hairs in the kitchen on the worktop . The bed is too small for me. I am 6' which is not really big .
Having said that the location is excellent and the stay was not effected by the problems but it definitely needs some attention
