We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hacienda, and it was truly a wonderful experience. Jorge and Carolina, the hosts, are nothing short of fantastic. Their warm hospitality and genuine passion for their region made our stay truly memorable.
From the moment we arrived, Jorge and Carolina went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and comfortable. They not only provided excellent service but also took the time to share their deep knowledge and love for the local region. Their insights into the area's culture and the coffee they grow added an extra layer of authenticity to our stay.
One highlight of our stay was the opportunity to learn about the coffee cultivation process directly from Jorge and Carolina. Their passion for coffee was infectious, and the tasting experience they curated was both educational and delicious.
Overall, our time at this hotel was a delightful escape, thanks to the wonderful hosts who made us feel like valued guests. If you're seeking a unique and authentic experience with hosts who genuinely care about your stay, we highly recommend choosing this gem for your next getaway. We look forward to returning and creating more cherished memories at this hidden treasure.

A really amazing place for anyone looking for a more authentic stay in Colombia's coffee region. Carolina and Jorge were very nice and welcoming and the place was perfect for what we were looking for. Really good, traditional breakfast every day, beautiful view from the window of our place and lots of peace and quiet. Jorge and Carolina also did a tour of the coffee plantation with a coffee tasting session that was really enjoyable. Hope to stay here again!

Breakfast was perfect. The coffee is amazing. Our family had a very relaxing stay for a few days. We enjoyed learning about the history of coffee and different ways to brew it. The hosts Carolina and Jorje were so kind and welcoming. The pets were cute and it was nice to have cats to pet.

WOW. The time that i spent at the finca was definitely the most memorable experience I had during my entire trip to Colombia. First of all this is not a hotel, this is Jorge and his beautiful wife's house. You share a day in their lives and experience the real coffee farm life with them and they definitely go out of their way to make u feel welcome and comfortable. There are only 3 rooms in the house so if you are lucky enough to find an available room, don't hesitate and book it! The finca is surrounded by coffee trees. The price you pay includes a traditional breakfast, a coffee farm tour as well as a real Barista class where you get to make coffee with 5 different tools and have a tasting afterwards with Jorge. There are plenty of nice hikes aronud the house as well and absolutely no other tourists around.
They were very kind to prepare a traditional lunch and give me a ride back to chinchina too.
If you are after a real coffee experience and no touristy stuff, i recommend you choose to stay with them and witness a day in their life.
It can be a little tricky to get there (especially at night) so make sure you plan your commute in advance and wisely. (No public transport to Chinchina from Pereira from 6pm)

This place is paradise! Carolina and Jorge welcomed me like family and made me feel completely at home there. You can feel how excited they are about their place and coffee also during the tour, which they arrange for whenever is good for you! Same goes for all meals by the way, which were delicious too. If you look for a refreshing break in your trip, do come here for a few days! Muchas gracias por todo :)
Leaving!!!
This just as an advice: Be careful when driving there after dark, the road is a bit tricky

We stayed at La Gaviota on the final night of a 6 day bicycle tour of the coffee region. It was quite remote, but we all felt it was entirely worth it - the ride to the farm from Marsella was gorgeous. Then, the next day, we cycled over Alta de la Mina, down to the highway, and to our pre-arranged ride back to Salento. Our hosts were very accommodating with dinner and then we had our coffee farm tour in the morning. The coffee tour was quite interesting -the history of how coffee came to this area of Colombia was quite interesting and it was apparent that our hosts, Carolina and George have a passion for their way of life. We even got to try our hand at various ways to prepare coffee. My only suggestions to other travelers is to be familiar with how remote the farm is, but I assure you it is well worth the trip! Also, do not order a glass of wine with dinner since you will need to buy the entire bottle and this was not communicated in advance. I did not complain since the overall value of the accommodation plus coffee tour was very good.

Hosts were incredible! Excursion we went to was one of the coolest most fascinating experiences I've had. I loved the part when we were tought how to make coffee by various ways and the difference between arabica and robusta. The farm was such a peaceful place to be. Really cozy house and rooms. Clean and spaceous shower.

Its a beautiful calm Coffee Plantation with great staff. Its just wonderful to walk through the coffee fields, getting guided trough the coffee bean making process and at the end see all the different forms, how coffee can be made, with the different techniques. The hosts are not only coffee experts in every way, they are friendly and notice immediately when something is off with the guests. It really was a pleasant stay.
The internet was slow, but one don't go there for watching Netflix. There are so many beautiful things.

Nice family-run small place, newly renovated and in a wonderful location in the middle of coffee plantations and nature reserves. The hosts were very nice and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. There's a fire place to stargaze (perhaps best to bring some drinks from the supermarket) and a tour of the plantation plus coffee tasting is included.
The place is a bit tricky to find relying only on google maps, best to come during daytime and ask the locals and be prepared for a little offroad ;-)
