The design and style of the resort is pleasing and the location is secluded and peaceful whilst only being a short walk from the main road and the beach. The peace and quiet were disturbed however by the sounds from early morning of military training and square bashing from the nearby naval training base, which may just have been a short term thing. The staff are extremely helpful and attentive. The breakfast is excellent.

it seems like the resort has understandably suffered from a lack of customers and their income over the last couple of years. The spa building is unused pretty much derelict. The basis of the resort is still there it just needs a little maintenance and TLC to bring it up to scratch.

The property was very clean, comfortable and pretty. Personal was very kind, helpful and smiley. The food was perfect. Really recommended

such a beautiful property! loved the grounds, the sounds of nature off the busy streets. The staff we incredibly hospitable. i came to treat myself on my first week travelling Sri Lanka and also to see for booking a future retreat here and it didn’t disappoint. i love the interiors! it was very quiet when I was staying there (one day I was the only guest!) yet the staff were always on hand to make me food at my request or help with anything I needed. the food was always delicious too! the resort also has 5/6 dogs which are all super friendly!

We loved staying here, its very special. Quiet, warm reception and comfortable. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The food is fabulous. You can walk to the beach and tub tub to Galle very easily.

We spent five wonderful days in Wirdana Villa with my family. A amazing place for a quiet holiday. To Unawatuna beach, one of the most beautiful on the island, 20 minutes by tuk tuk. Delicious breakfast, I suggest you also try dinner - here I ate the best tuna salad ever :-)

Great architecture and design, super friendly and helpful staff. They can arrange anything you need and are very elastic. We were as 2 families with children and all were very happy during our stay.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, they were all happy to answer out questions and give suggestions about the local area and fair prices. My partner was feeling under the weather and the staff were very accommodating, going out of there way to order us in some food when the kitchen was closed. Outstanding breakfast. Peaceful, quiet, a lovely place to unwind and relax. We are animal lovers and enjoyed having the friendly cats and dogs around.

Food very expensive compared with restaurants at the beach, which meant we felt we had to eat out most nights. However the quality of food is also much higher and we thoroughly enjoyed an evening meal there.

We love the staff of these property they are really great and try they best to make your stay as comfortable it could be :)) Wirdana is really closed to the first beach if you take a tuktuk it take less then 5 min and there is always one infront the hotel.The breakfast here was our favorite in sri lanka a lot different thing to choose and everything delicious.We ate a lot around but i would recommend to try the kitchen in Wirdana because it was much better then half of the restaurant we tryed around.They are 5 dog we love them and you feel much safer with dogs around in the garden.Thank you for the beautiful stay.

This place is a real hidden gem of the south of Sri Lanka. I spent 12 days in this hotel and it was one of the most beautiful holidays of my life! Indescribably beautiful nature and tame dogs and cats, and friendly staff will make your vacation a truly unforgettable experience. In addition to the unique ambience, the food is very tasty, and the silence and isolation of the building from traffic and very noisy local drivers allow you to relax and enjoy every moment of the holiday. This is the right place to relax, cuddle with animals and take a break from the hectic life and I would therefore recommend it to all travelers who need a break from the fast life and reconnect with nature in silence. Of course, wi-fi is available, but there is no TV in the rooms, which is perfect because you certainly don't need it in a place like this. The design is another positive side that I would highlight as a great advantage of this accommodation. And finally, praise for the very helpful and yet discreet staff. I will definitely be back to Wirdana Resort again.

Great and friendly staff and a good price for what you get. Nice pool and great surroundings with a lot of wild life even on resort territory (birds, monitor lizards). The villas are spacious and clean, although some things require maintenance. Nice patio to spend an evening. Water refills every day. Would recommend this resort to friends. very stylish and elegant villas, enough space for 8 people due to separate rooms and big outdoor and indoor living space. Located as if you live with nature - you can hear birds, see chipmunks and walking peacocks. Great service and delicious food. located in the mid way between the two beaches Hikkaduwa and Unawatuna. Easy logistic by tuk-tuk. The villa's staff was extraordinary supportive and kind, it was one of the best stay in Asia.

Staff were very friendly, breakfast was great. The setting is quite tranquil, and the pool a perfect temperature. The style of the property is also commendably contemporary cool. The wildlife, too, was nice to hear and see, from peacocks and parrots, to monkeys and water monitors.

The restaurant serves exceptionally limited fare. Four main choices is not enough for its location. Staff, though friendly, always seemed confused at requests, and were rarely pro-active (in offering a food and drink menu, pool towel, or cleaning up; when checking out at 4am, tables were still full of dirty dishes, and pool beds adorned with used towels). The absence of all female employees perhaps contributing to the lack of attention to detail. The spa is a murky-waterside cabana, and was dusty; not entirely relaxing despite a good massage from the off-site therapist. The villas, too, have their issues. A big stylish kitchen space proves obsolete - as does the fridge - with no consideration paid to food preparation; no cutlery, crockery, or cooking utensils; no cooking potential at all, and no way to wash up (liquid or teatowel). There is provision to make a tea or coffee, but why have that perfect kitchen space and usable countertop if that's all it can be used for? Perfectly pointless. In the property's defense, it never states you can prepare food... but again, in that case, do something else with the space The wifi is spotty, the TV too small and terribly out of place, the shower water is cold, and were the four-bed villa filled with the eight potential guests, it could not accommodate them comfortably in the lounge, or indeed on the outdoor furniture (too few, and damaged loungers, six chairs around the table).

loved the property, it’s huge and the design is really nice. loved the open bathrooms, one could see the nature while showering, also the pool area is quite nice. Staff was super friendly. they have 5 friendly dogs and two cats, if you are a animal lover, you will simply love this place, having the fur babies around.

breakfast was good but lunch, dinner and drinks options aren’t very good. I felt that the food menu is a bit pricey in comparison to the resorts and hotels around.
