This is such an incredible place to stay near Zhangjiajie. Being at one of the least popular gates it makes entry to the park easy (10min walk), yet the entrance is well connected by road to major points.
The owner was super nice and always helpful. Despite his limited English we were always able to communicate using translator apps. He drove us to the entrance when we asked, looked up bus timetables, he even helped us find new drone propellor within an hour after we clipped them at the park one time.
Speaking of drone, if you like flying it this spot is perfect. The park opens way after sunrise and before sunset, however as this place is located in a direct line of sight with the park you can get stunning shots right from the property. It's about a 3km flight, but once you get there your mind will be blown. I recommend the small wooden platform with a wooden heart about 80m right of the property so you don't disturb other guests.
The room itself is amazing, bed is huge and super soft. Always clean and smelling nice. Oh, did I mention we got a free room upgrade?
You will definitely have a 'purespace' experience here, watching the everchanging moods of this beautiful area through the massive glass windows. The breakfast was included and is simple but yummy.
Mostly Chinese option food wise, and its good to note there is not much around so you might need to cab to Wulingyuan if you want lots of food options. It's about 35-40yuan one way on the Didi app.
If we ever come back to Zhanjiajie we will definitely stay here again, it made our time here so much nicer!
Nothing really that we didn't like, but if I had to give some recommendations I would add the following:
- WiFi is very slow. I think for this level of luxury it would be good if the owners invested in a faster connection. I got around 1Mbps speed which makes streaming or even browsing sometimes difficult. 4G reception is good though if you have a local Sim.
- This isn't common in accommodations in China generally but a small fridge would have been nice. Would love to have been able to have a cool drink on the terrace, etc... It can get hot in this area so that would be a nice plus.

We took the largest room of the hotel and stayed for 3 nights. It was worth the price. Large room with all the facilities. Room was very clean with pretty nice decoration. Also got table for work. It was actually a perfect room on rainy day in Zhangjiajie as you can enjoy the fog and mountain view from the 3 side windows. We can actually see the Avatar mountain far away on sunny day. There is one large double king size bed which can comfortably use for upto 4 people, and another normal king size bed. The shower room is quite large with hot water! My most fav in the room is the Japanese style toilet seat which is always warm. There is heater in the room as well. The staff came to clean up the room everyday, and also helped changing towels. All in all, the room is perfect for family. The dinner at the hotel was very good as well, we love the chicken soup! (Come with the whole chicken) and also the stir fried pork with sweet pepper. The hotel can help you plan the trip in Zhangjiajie and book tickets for you in advance. And also they would drop you off and pick up from Wulingyuan National Park in the middle gate for free. This is my second time in Zhangjiajie, im so lucky to find this place!

Amazing property; we tend to shy away from Airbnb so I am very happy that PureSpace has proved us wrong! The property is nestled in a very green area with local agriculture. Spectacular view! The staff Li and Niu are very hospitable and friendly; really made us feel at home.
Nothing to dislike, really. The quality of the breakfast can be upgraded.

Incredible view and exceptionally helpful staff. When we asked for butter at breakfast they went out of their way to provide us with butter. Being nestled in the terraced fields was an amazing experience. One of the best visits in China.
Some mould in the bathroom than needs repairing.

A lof of authentic Chinese dishes on the menu, very nice and prepared well.
I thought I had booked the room at the front, as the pictures suggested, but had the room at the back so my view was obstructed a litte, but was still a great view of the mountains and countryside.
The dining area and overall ambience of the place had a really relaxed and homely vibe, it felt very comfortable and welcoming.
The only downside is when it rained one night a lot of the windows around the building leaked but the room was not affected by this.
Also on first arrival the pool was not filled up and was only filled on the 3rd and last day of our stay.

the staff was extremely nice, quickly responding to any request. we wanted to have the weekend out of city and this was just perfect choice. located in a peaceful and very quiet valley, however very convenient towards the tourist attractions. you’ve got 3 minutes drive to the entrance of National forest park, 20 minutes to the town and 40 minutes drive from airport. the car with the driver is always available at the reception. Room was clean and tidy, and we’ve got a lovely Mountain View. Breakfast is very simple, but is homemade by staff, which also asks you what you would like to have. there’s a very nice terrace in case you’d like to do an evening barbecue under the stars - they’ll provide everything you need, which we did on the last evening, which made the whole stay just so cozy and perfect. highly recommend!
there’s a huge logo of the place installed above the swimming pool with a daylight lamps, which is probably too bright at night as it placed right in front of the windows. we did ask the staff to switch it off and they were very nice to do it, so we could enjoy the starry sky.

The View from the pool is awesome. Everyone was really friendly. The beds were comfortable and the rooms a big enough and equipped with good working aircons. It is very quite and the air is fresh and clean. Perfect to relax.
The hotel complex and rooms are little run-down. The pool was not that clean it should like. The breakfast choices were limited and there is no western breakfast. Only white bread with jam. The view from the room above is not so fine because you look on the roofs below which were dirty.

The room I stayed in was beautiful. The beds were comfortable, the bathtub was nice, and there is a fancy toilet. In addition to the nice room, the staff was very nice. The guy who was working helped give advice about what we should do in the national park, drove us to the park entrance, and was easy to contact anytime we needed anything. They even brought dinner to our room one night because we were just too tired to go out and get it in the dining room. The pool and view from there is beautiful, even though we never swam because it was a little chilly in the evenings when we were actually at Pure Space.
I will say that there are some things that could be majorly improved. The first thing is the little pond outside of the dining room. It is really not kept and kind of sad looking. This doesn't make a huge impact on the stay, but does bring the place down a notch.
Other than that, really the only thing that could be better were if the bathroom had some sort of door. It only has a cloth hanging halfway down, so it's not a very private experience. That is something to be considered if you are traveling with someone you are not close with.

Property is close to the ticket entrance and convenient to walk to. The view is beautiful
The property had some damp issues in the room which was evident on the bathroom ceiling.

Staff throughout our stay were excellent and kind. We were collected and dropped to the airport and when we were unhappy with our initial room (see below) we were moved. I think the staff here really make the place; they tried so hard. The location is also great, a ten minute walk to the park. We enjoyed cutting across the fields to get there, which have some good pathways. It's a two minute drive if you're feeling lazy. The rooms overlooking the pool are excelent, modern, clean and a good spec. Unfortunately, these weren't the rooms we booked.
Overall, this was a bit of a disappointment for us and we're pretty "low maintenance" travelers. Things weren't helped by the nonstop rain (not the hotel's fault, clearly) but it did highlight some issues. The hotel is set across three buildings and you will have a very different stay depending on which one you are in. The rooms around the pool are modern and stunning, built and furnished to a very high spec. However, as we have children we booked a "family room". This is set back in an older building behind the pool block and was pretty shabby, poorly furnished, with damp and mould problems which the rain highlighted. The main window was poorly fitted with big gaps, damp mould stains on bathroom curtain (lions head motif). There was also no view, unless you count rooftops and an unfinished extention. None of this was very clear from the website which understandably focuses on the rooms around the pool. We were moved when we complained and in the end we cut short our stay because the weather was so bad. Breakfast was ok although rain water was leaking in and the staff work hard to keep things going but it felt like they needed more people. It all just feels like a place that needs a bit more attention to detail than it has at the moment.

Only the location but even that wasn’t great
The Quality of the facility, the service. The pictures are from when the facilities were new but now, very bad maintenance. The meals are really poor. Three times more expensive than any really good hotel and three times less quality and service. Not worthy do not even dare!

The property itself is stunning. The views are gorgeous. The dinner was delicious. The staff were friendly. My initial room was good.
The second room that they put me in was moldy and gross. They told me they would clean it but they just put a fresh paint job on it to cover the mold. It still smelled.

The location and the view
The facilities are not in a good shape, the swimming pool is not a real pool but a water tank, the restaurant is full of humidity, the toilet in the room didn’t work properly.

What a magical part of the world and the room at Purespace heightened our experience! Floor to ceiling windows allowed us to appreciate the beauty of this area + no TV really added to the serenity of the space and relaxing activities such as cards + a good book! The food at the hotel was delicious - home made Chinese which lended to the experience. Getting around was made easy with the hotel providing a pick up and drop off at hiking and bus stations. We will definitely be back!!

The setting was gorgeous. Away from the business of the town and amongst the mountains and trees. The view from my room was 10/10. I loved the big bathtub too! The manager was very helpful and attentive to needs.
It was cold. Though there were multiple heating options in the rooms, it was still cold.
It was easy to get a DIDI from town to Purespace but you were unable to get a DIDI to town from Purespace. However, the owner was more than happy to sort a ride if you needed one.
Would have liked some filtered coffee for breakfast :)

The staff were super friendly and helpful, they helped plan our tour to the National park which made it much easier. The hotel was nicely designed, thanks to the room upgrade, we stayed in the both 1st and 2nd buildings, the 2nd building has central AC so it was warmer, and the view was better. They also put an additional heater in our room in the 1st building, it helped a bit. The food in the restaurant was quite alright, also appreciated their attitude and effort trying to make it right when we told them that one ingredient was missing from one of the dishes we ordered at dinner, they shared the feedback with the cook and immediately added what we asked for. The location was pretty good, 10-15min walk to the park while the view on the way was great, peaceful fields and mountains were just on the side.
As mentioned above, everyone was friendly but there is still room to improve their service, just be more professional. One suggestion is not to walk in the guest room with shoes when showing the way upon arrival. The maintenance can be done better, maybe it rains a lot there so some of the staircases and walls appeared to be damaged. The hygiene was not up to our standard, there was a drop of brown coloured water on our toilet seat when we firstly opened the lid, and we found a short hair in the body lotion.

Staff is quite helpful
Well the concept is nice, I got Mountain view, but when I come it's so cold, the heater is not really working and the extra heater is broken so I have to put on extra clothes in order to get to sleep
