The property itself is clean and well-maintenced. It is clean, spacious with great atmosphere.
Firstly, the front desk customer service is not great while the parking staff members went above and beyond. The front desk declined me checking in with a Chinese passport despite I had no problems checking in with my passport for the past one month in China and buying tickets with it. Front desk staff members do not seem to be well trained for the system as well as customer service.
Secondly, the price on booking is vastly different than that of the Chinese website. I had to pay taxes on top of the more pricy room rate for the same room than booking the room through the Chinese website.
More tranings on regulations, communication and better customer service will be great for this hotel.

My stay was excellent. The room exceeded my expectations, in features and size. It was quiet and elegant. The breakfast buffet was abundant and delicious. The staff tried hard and was very helpful, even though I did not speak Chinese. I used the laundry and the massage service, and both were excellent. I would choose to stay here again.
The overall hotel was nicer than the listing presented.
Unavoidable in most hotels throughout China: there was lingering smell of smoke in the halls, fortunately my room was spared.

The food is not good and the workers don’t know english. The hotel is very noisy.

Nice hotel, excellent location, facility all you need, good buffet

Great location, 10 minutes drive to the National park. All clean and comfortable, the staff speaks English
Poor choice of food. If you are a fan of Chinese cuisine, you’re good. We wanted something different, so that wasn’t quite enough for us besides, I’m vegetarian and most of the food was either containing meat or deep fried

The staff were very professional and helpful.
It's pricey (and the breakfast isn't particularly good).
9.0
The breakfast was fantastic and the hotel’s location was close to the main park enterance.
There were no English speaking channels on the television. Only Chinese.

nice room, good location!
True Chinese 5 star! breakfast was horrible and crazy one! People like a true Spartan! have fighting for food, cheers and “place under the sun”🙈 i arrived to breakfast at 9:00 and restaurant hadn’t food already! i took so many pictures! Big shame for true Crown Plaza!

The room was very comfortable, generously proportioned. Some staff were very helpful and welcoming.
I paid for an executive club room, however, when trying to find the club the first night, I discovered that it no longer existed. Why therefore was I charged for something which I did not receive? Benita, the manager to whom I spoke, tried to rectify the situation by proving me with complementary wine but this hardly an executive club makes. Even at check in I was told the hours of the executive club, despite the fact that it had been closed for a long time. Extremely disappointed and frustrated.

Hotel is well located 5 min driving from Yuanjiajie Avatar mountain.
Breakfast offer a good variety of food
Few options for dinning, Muslim restaurant was closed

beds and pillows very comfortable, location of the hotel is very convenient, hotel let us late check out free of charge
Swimming Pool was not opened they said because of the covid restrictions but this had not published in any place during the reservation and during arrival nobody told us. One night we tried to have dinner at the hotel but it was a disaster, after a long waiting our dishes came without the things that we saw in the menu, for example beef in my corean bowl, after we complained and waited again they brought a new dish. Breakfast has not many western options. Tv in the rooms only in Chinese. One morning after the breakfast we returned to our room and one housekeeper was already cleaning it and she never left we had to brush our teeth with her mopping the floor!

the bacon was terrible

Room was clean, comfortable and relatively new. Staff was helpful, we requested a late checkout due to late flight which the reception accommodated. The location is close to one of the park entrances, we walked there daily (~20 slow walk). The hotel is foreigner friendly, we were only asked to show two green codes, although we had our vaccination and nucleic test certificates ready with us.
Breakfast was alright, but nothing exceptional. In-house restaurant had limited food options for lunch/dinner, many items on the menu were missing, and the cooking was not great. No vegetarian options either. Given the limited options in the area outside of the hotel, getting lunch/dinner was a bit problematic. Loud music was playing outside every day at 6am, I suppose it was the wake up sound of some sort, but we did not quite appreciate it, as we weren’t planning on waking up this early - not sure, if this was arranged by the hotel, or by the city in general.

The room is large and comfortable. The WiFi worked well. The location is amazing!
Check-in was very disappointing. The hotel tried to charge us an absurd deposit fee until I refused to pay it. The man checking us in was not friendly or respectful and, when I asked to speak to the manager, the sun-standard service continued. We tried to order room service three separate evenings and they never seemed to have anything in stock from the menu that was in the room! Finally, the breakfast buffet was very poor. The food was not cooked well and the staff were not good at managing the crowds coming and going. This hotel is simply not worth the price they charge.

Friendly approach and located close to national forest and Baiden lake. Though far from city and airport.
Staff went extra mile to accommodate our dietary needs as we are vegan and don't even eat egg. Special mention about the Chen, Livida and tour operator.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were all incredibly helpful and spoke great English. The check-in process was very easy and they were happy to offer us a late checkout. We stayed in the deluxe king room and found it very comfortable. The bathroom amenities were clean and offered lots of complimentary toiletries. The beds were comfortable and room service cleaned to a high standard every day. The staff also noticed that it was my birthday during our stay and surprised me with a complimentary cake. Very satisfied and would recommend to our friends and family for future stays. Thank you for a wonderful time!

The staff in the hotel were very supportive and welcoming !!
There is only one restaurant in the hotel . They should plan for one Chinese restaurant in house as this can add value for sure !!

Location to three of the main tourist attractions and breakfast.
Staff at the front desk should speak English.

The quality of service, the old decoration, the poor quality of food & breakfast ....
Make you feel as a 3 star experience ! A real disappointment!
The hotel is getting too old and they reduce the quality of services (cost control)
Only one good point the location and some employees are quite nice
A detail, please don’t let people smoke in the lobby - it’s not appropriate for kids

The hotel location was good, very close to the entrance to the National Forest Park. Also very near to Dragon Cave, and Baofang Lake. Grand Canyon - Glass Bridge, was ca 30 km from the hotel. The hotel organized English speaking Tour guide which help to discover Zhangjiajie park.
We booked 2 rooms for our family. The hotel staff organized connecting rooms, which was convenient. The room and the hotel was clean.
There is indoor swimming pool.
The breakfast offers some International food, however with limited choice.
Some of staff speak English.
There is restaurant at the lobby, however there is no separation to the lobby. It was quite cold in the “restaurant”.
The water temperature at the swimming pool was to low. Due to this we couldn’t really enjoy swimming.

The breakfast is top notch, one of the best in China. The location is fantastic, right beside the theatre and within walking distance of many restaurants, massage and the park's East Gate.
The hotel exceeded our expectations, but we were annoyed that both the indoor and outdoor pool were closed at the same time. We took our bathing suits in hopes of going for a little swim.

Thanks to Boona (spelling?) on reception, we received a complimentary upgrade to a suite room which was very big and comfortable!
The breakfast wasn’t great quality, and understandably gets very busy and chaotic during peak times.
The spa / swimming pool wasn’t very clean, and you had to wait over 30 minutes for them to switch on the sauna and steam room.

Property was lovely- clean and luxurious. We had a small issue and had to move rooms, but the staff member who looked after us - Mia- was amazing and made the stay so much better. Great location for accessing the park.

Staff were very friendly and the room was super comfortable.
The gym, not great at all. Bang average for a 5 star hotel.
