Pour une visite d’un week-end, un court séjour ou bien des vacances un peu plus longues, nous pouvons vous proposer cet appartement exceptionnel dans le centre de Budapest.
Completement rénové et redécoré , cet appartement est une partie de ce qui était jadis le logement du propriétaire et commanditaire de l’immeuble. Il a miraculeusement conservé la plupart de ses aménagements d’origine (l’immeuble date de 1896): plafonds de pres de 5 metres avec de magnifiques moulures, superbes vitraux d’époque provenant de l’atelier de Miksa Roth, artiste renommé du début du 20 eme siecle, cheminée á gaz en onyx (modernisée et en parfait état de marche), boiseries á dorures dans la salle de séjour ainsi qu’un miroir vénitien de toute beauté. L’appartement est donc un lieu plein de caractere avec une atmosphere toute particuliere.
Il bénéficie de plus d'un balcon qui donne sur une place arborée ou se trouve l'une des plus belles halles de marché de Budapest.

We had a great visit in Budapest for 4 days. This apartment was very comfortable and close to the public transportation by Tram and subway train. This place was located a short 15-20 minute walk to the Jewish quarter and other places such as the Music Academy and Opera. Great historical building to stay in as it was built in 1896 and is a very unique place. We loved interacting with the owner as she was so very gracious and kind to both of us. Her neighbor was also very helpful and her recommendations for Taxi support was also excellent. We loved staying here for these few days in April 2024.

This apartment is absolutely beautiful and so clean. The balcony was lovely and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was perfect and easy walking to most point of interest as well as a metro across the road. We will definitely return and highly recommended to anyone.

We absolutely adored this flat! The property owner was a pleasure to communicate with and incredibly helpful with every step of our trip. We found the rental to be as advertised. The apartment is a quintessential European urban apartment strategically located and proximate to the Metro, market and other amenities. The host is efficient and timely in her responses and the information provided was accurate and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

This beautiful, spacious, sparkling clean, and well-located apartment offered a magical stay. If you appreciate historic charm, you will absolutely love this place. It is really special (the owner can even provide you with its interesting history). The stained glass and the fireplace are just a couple of the amazing touches you'll find here. It is even prettier in person than in the listing pictures. The apartment is not only charming, but is extremely functional. First, of all, it is quite spacious and has a very well-equipped kitchen. The shower and bathtub has plenty of hot water. The clothes washer also has a drying function which is really useful. The apartment is located on a quiet square, but you are within a 5 minute walk to several public transit options. You can also walk just a few minutes and be in a lively university area. There are a couple of markets in just a few minutes from the apartment. I have stayed in many rentals over the years and in lots of different countries--this one is in the top five! You should know that this is an historic apartment so if you are looking for a place with modern finishes and unblemished (boring) public spaces, it may not be for you. But if you appreciate a place that has character and reflects its history, then you will be thrilled with this rental. I do want to reiterate that the apartment was super clean. The owner was highly communicative and helped arrange a wonderful taxi service to and from the airport. When I return to Budapest, I will definitely seek out this apartment. Don't hesitate, rent this apartment if it is available!

What an incredible place!! With the 12' ceilings, the beautiful woodwork, the stained glass windows and the boho decor, we felt like we entered the wrong place. We had to check the address again.
We also found the bar on the corner that had great hungarian food and drinks.
We would definitely stay there again.

The building needs a lot of maintenance
The apartment needs a lot of maintenance, the balcony doors you can see through the cracks on them, the windows need major care, latches that don't work, the stairs up to the apartment were in the dark as we did not know about how turn the lights on,

Absolute gem!
Eliane’s apartment exceeded our expectations!! The apartment itself is exquisitely grand…almost like you are living in a golden era! The location is beyond fantastic, a market that contains a bakery, butcher, fresh vegetable and the best part…wine by the liter from a draft, is literally across the street. Two fantastic restaurants are within steps and the metro station is across the street. The balcony was lovely to sit on in the morning for coffee and the evening for a glass of wine. I would recommend contacting the neighbor, Miklos who gave us a delightful walking tour of Budapest with a locals perspective. We will definitely book this lovely apartment in the future!!

This apartment is truly authentic in style to late 19th century early 20th century apartments in Budapest. Everything from the floors to the doors to the shutters are of that era and everything has a grand feel to it. The massive rooms and doors give the sense of royalty and you can feel the long history of the apartment.
Otherwise the apartment was always warm (written in December) and the furniture is very comfortable. The kitchen was well furnished, clean, and comfortable. Neighbor is very friendly, as is also Eliane, who was always happy to help and was very quick to respond to questions.
Location is great, the metro and tram are right there, and even with lots and lots of luggage, not a struggle to come and go.

This apartment is truly authentic in style to late 19th century early 20th century apartments in Budapest. Everything from the floors to the doors to the shutters are of that era and everything has a grand feel to it. The massive rooms and doors give the sense of royalty and you can feel the long history of the apartment.
Otherwise the apartment was always warm (written in December) and the furniture is very comfortable. The kitchen was well furnished, clean, and comfortable. Neighbor is very friendly, as is also Eliane, who was always happy to help and was very quick to respond to questions.
Location is great, the metro and tram are right there, and even with lots and lots of luggage, not a struggle to come and go.

We loved staying here . There was plenty of space ,it was comfortable and had a lovely shabby chic atmosphere. Often you can stay in sterile ubiquitous accommodation that give you no essence of the country you are in . Not so with this flat. There is a large well-equipped kitchen. The living space is large with high ceilings and we really enjoyed coming back in the evening and having the fire . It was definitely a place which was lovely to come back to and relax . Perfect location and exerience for our stay in Budapest
We loved staying here . There was plenty of space ,it was comfortable and had a lovely shabby chic atmosphere. Often you can stay in sterile ubiquitous accommodation that give you no essence of the country you are in . Not so with this flat.

The owner of the apartment Eliane Pickermann is very helpful and give very good information about keys, the equipment in the apartment, places to go and how you go there from the airport so it is easy to do itall by yourself. So I can really recommend to rent this place in Budapest.

Fabulous Budapest
Elaine’s apartment was fantastic. The location was unbelievable, couldn’t have picked a better spot. Everything is on your doorstep, literally!
As a host Eliane was superb, very accommodating and helpful. As there is so much to see and do it helps that you’re in the right place, it cuts down on the amount of walking you do quite considerably, especially when you have sore feet! I would definitely recommend Elianes apartment if you are planning a trip to beautiful Budapest. BTW, there is a fabulous gastro pub across the bridge, 1st left, called Francos that’s worth a visit. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was great as was the music. The owner/chef Franco was a gem too.

Lovely, spacious apartment
We spent a great 10 days in Eliane's apartment. Both she and her neighbours did everything they could to make us feel welcome and at home. Perfect location for transport and wandering to all parts of Budapest. Lots of eating, drinking and shopping options on the doorstep.

Great classic and classy Pest apartment
"We have just returned from spending six nights in this well located, very stylish and beautiful apartment in Pest. This was our third stay. The location is very handy (just a minute''s walk from the front door) for trams 4 and 6 that run along Jozsef korut, and only one tram stop away from the red line underground station at Blaha Lujza ter. The apartment is very quiet and tranquil. There is an elevator. The living room and bedroom are enormous with beautifully detailed, high plaster ceilings, nice lighting, a lovely big marble fireplace and gorgeous stained glass panelling amongst the very tasteful and stylish decor; a lot of love, care and attention to detail have gone into the refurbishment and look of this apartment. It has a very special ambiance. The seating in both rooms is very comfortable. There is a very well equipped kitchen. In the immediate vicinity, there is a big market hall and some very nice little cafes and restaurants serving up some excellent food at good prices. Eliane is an excellent, very attentive and friendly owner. She is very efficient at communicating at every step of the process. We took advantage of Eliane''s fair offer of a taxi service to and from the airport, which was also very efficient and reliable. We always thoroughly enjoy a stay at this wonderful apartment and we are already looking forward to getting back there. Many thanks to Eliane and her sterling service and accommodation."

"Eliane''s apartment is beautiful, bright, clean and very central. It has all you need. I adored fretwork on the ceilings, marble fireplace and soft sofas. I was impressed by stained-glass window in the bedroom! And it was so quiet at nights. Eliane is extremely friendly, helpful person, and she is, certainly, such a genius of communications. She gave useful recommendations about the city and cultural life. There was a personal City Guide in apartments composed by herself for guests. I followed the directions and it was the best! Besides, many guides and books on different languages were in apartment for use.
There are Market Hall, chinese shop and nice cafe right near the apartment. I loved the yellow trams with which I could get to any place of the city, tram stop right near the apartments too.
By all means, it was exeptional experiance. I’d like to return someday to experience the thrill of joy of being there again."

"The apartment was excellent in all respects.
We stayed a week and enjoyed exploring Budapest with a "home" to come back to each evening.
The location of the apartment is very good and it is easy to get around Budapest using public transport.
The proprietor is very reliable and helpful and provides much useful information and many resources.
We appreciated using the suggested taxi service to and from the apartment as that made coming and going very convenient.
We have rented apartments numerous times in the past as a preference to staying in hotels when visiting places and this one was impeccable.

Eliane was there with the...
Eliane was there with the keys on our arival which is always a very positive sign. She showed us around and also gave us a lot of written info. on Budapest which is another very positive point.She is a very nice and friendly person who enjoys sharing her knowledge of her city.We loved the flat which is large and comfortable with high ceilings and the fact that it is so near to all the main parts of downtown and all the main tourist sites.We had no problems at all with the accomodation or the arrival and departure. It was pleasant to be able to sit out on the balcony for an aperitif in the evening although we never used the kitchen except for breakfast and found the restaurants to be very cheap and good. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would willingly return.

"This apartment is outstanding in every respect. We spent a week there and just loved it. Eliane, the owner, is extremely kind, helpful, friendly, and informative, eg excellent foodie tips.
The apartment is very clean and is equipped with everything you need. The decor is incredibly beautiful, eg the stained glass windows by Miksa Roth, the (very) high decorative ceilings, gorgeous lighting, gilt-edged wood panelling, marble (working) fireplace, huge Venetian mirror, and very tasteful and comfortable furniture. The two main rooms are enormous. The apartment oozes class, sterling taste, and romance.
We never heard any noise. The location is excellent, in Pest's 8th district, with a number of excellent cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance, and a big indoor market right on the same square. The very frequent and far-ranging trams 4 and 6 stop in Jozsef korut, a stone's throw from the apartment, and there's a station of the red line Metro at Blaha Lujza ter, just a short walk away. As always in Budapest, we felt very safe.
We are still thinking, daily, of our magical week in this stunning apartment and can't wait to return. Eliane deserves the highest accolades for her gorgeous apartment, hospitality, and geniality. Many warm thanks to you, Eliane."

The apartment is excellen...
The apartment is excellent: clean, completely equipped and very well decorated; every item seems to be specially selected. We felt like if we lived in a small palace; and the children were very enthusiastic too! Only the building is not renovated, like many other old builidings in Budapest. The access to the city centre is very easy: tram station in 50 meters and metro at the next station. Although it is very close to a central road the house is very quiet, and you can only hear the sound of flame in the gas fire-place. The owner, Elianne is very kind and helpful, and gave us complete instructions about the house and useful guidelines and suggestions about the city. Budapest is beautiful but due to the cold weather, we left many activities for a second travel, hoping to stay in the same apartment.

"The apartment certainly has a wow factor. It is enormous. Everything was spotless and it all worked.
Eliane was most helpful and I must explain the 4/5 rating for surroundings. The square is being dug up for the long awaited metro 4 line. Eliane did warn us of this. It is beyond her control and she was most apolgetic, even offering a discount. We didn't feel it affected our stay enormously so we didn't take it.
The location was really good for public transport and we were both really happy and loved it.
If we return to Budapest we would not hesitate to stay there again."

"We found Eliane to be a very warm friendly and helpful hostess during our stay in Budapest. She went out of her way, prior to our arrival, to prepare us for our visit by providing information about concerts, restaurants, coffee houses etc, etc. She even offered to obtain tickets for us if we wanted. Eliane also arranged to pick us up at the Budapest train station and transported us to the apartment. She also took us to the bank and the local market to assist us in settling in. She could not have been more welcoming and helpful."
The apartment was absolutely stunning and each evening as we returned to the apartment we felt like we were living like royalty with the stately french doors, gilded ceilings, elaborate lighting and wonderful stained glass. The apartment was unquestionably the nicest accommodation that we have stayed in on numerous visits to various parts of Europe.
Furthermore, the apartment was well equipped to meet all of our needs including some basic food items which we were encouraged to use and to replace before we left. The kitchen lacked nothing in modern conveniences.
The apartment is well located steps from a major tram stop, a well stocked market and restaurants, stores and banks. Being away from the major tourist area gave us a feeling of living like locals and yet being close enough to all of the attractions.
The only negative comment that we had is that the apartment is located in a building that is not well maintained and is in need of refurbishing.
