Nothing to like - For a deluxe room (?!) you couldn’t swing a gerbil in it, let alone a cat! Yet the bathroom was enormous in comparison (bad design). There were 10 inches between one side of the bed and the ‘kitchen’ and on the other side between the bed and the outside wall. There was little storage in the kitchen (cutlery in a glass in the cupboard) and with only a fridge, a microwave and a small sink there was no way that you could efficiently self cater. But you could lean out of bed, open the fridge (which wouldn’t open all the way, as the bed prohibited this) and put the kettle on! Storage for clothes consisted on a 4’ high cupboard with a rail and 4 coat hangers and a cupboard above that was taken up with a large safe. We were glad we were not there longer than 9 nights as we would have had large suitcases as well as 2 golf gas to fit into a one foot wide walkway. We arrived back one evening and were unable to gain entry to the main building - eventually staff came to help but we were glad we were not standing out in the rain waiting. We arrived back another afternoon and guests from another room had taken our chairs off our terrace area! The pool was rectangular and brown concrete (not tiled) - it looked uninviting and as if they didn’t want you to use it (and didn’t want to pay for tiles - the pool behind the other block of apartments was lovely!). Location wise, it was quite a trek and you couldn’t walk anywhere local for a drink or food (other than a 15 minute hike to the golf clubhouse, which was very expensive). Those booking who don’t hire a car would struggle. There were no concessions for residents in the clubhouse or on the course to play golf. We used to live in Portugal and were Pestana members for 6 years - they are still as penny pinching and inefficient as always - very disappointing. We had planned to investigate one of their 28 day golf and accommodation packages but are having second thoughts, sadly.

considering the amount paid in total, I’d expect a clean room and toiletries. I’ve got a clogged bathroom and everything time we took a shower the bathroom was flooded. The shower drain was clogged due not being cleaned (loads of hair). Although this hotel provides a check in that start from 16:00 they accommodated a early check in at 15:00, which was really nice.

We booked an appartment but received a Villa with a private pool. What an amazing expierence for our family. Everything was available in the Villa ; We even had a pool boy cleaning the swimming pool every other day. The resort was clean . Security , reception and other personel were friendly and helpfull.

The food in the restaurant was not the best, felt and tasted like menus which were heated in the microwave .. but the view from the restaurant terrace made alot good.

There was a buggy path, from the restaurant to ntnt to my accomodation, which I was not permitted to use. This made the trip to and from the restaurant much longer than necessary and difficult, in hours of darkness, as the road isn’t lit.

The property is nice, and looks good from the outside.

There were spiders and spider webs everywhere. Although the bedroom and bathroom were nicely upgraded, the shower had mold all over the corners. The cleanliness was very poor all around.

It's far from the shops and restaurants. Without a car, it would have been inconvenient to stay there.

The landscaping and interior design are great! Staff was very friendly on every encounter also!

The WiFi connection in the apartment that we stayed was extremely poor. There is no public transport going from the hotel. You can order a taxi which for two people comes out around 30 euro or you can use an Uber. But with Uber it is cheaper but you might need to wait over an hour to get it to come as Ubers hate driving in this area due to the poor roads.

I’ve been to the property before in the studio apartments and the hotel rooms which are great. There is a gym and 2 pool and loads of places to sunbathe plus a golf course and wonderful walk and villages near by.

this time I stayed in the bigger 2 level apartment, the first apartment I was given was full of damp! and after complaining we were given a better apartment but the wooden stairs were really dangerous for children and older people. we could also hear everything from the apartment on either side from walking up the stairs to talk and the shower running so our sleep was disturbed every night!

What an incredible stay! My family and I were so well taken care of by the very thoughtful staff and would recommend this place to everyone. The property is enormous and you can walk around in the beautiful nature (and play golf if you’re into that). The apartments are large and cosy, the beds are very comfortable and the tv is very big! The gym is super well equipped and overall everything is well decorated. We didn’t try the breakfast because the apartments have a great kitchen with all the equipment needed to feel at home and cook comfortably. 10/10 would come back again anytime!
