Villa Peippo provided the perfect backdrop for our first Christmas in Finland, reminiscent of my childhood Christmases. The cottage was decorated for Christmas, and everything was perfect! We also spent a memorable New Year in Villa Peippo and were very happy with our choice to stay there. The area was picturesque with snow-laden trees, peaceful and quiet, away from the touristy areas, which was the main purpose of staying at Ounasvaara. The Ounasvaara walking trails and viewing tower were close by, and we took full advantage of this. Also went on a pleasant walk to the Arktikum museum, though took the taxi back up the hill. Having access to a hire car is advised, though we managed well enough without a car for a few days. The self-catering option was great, and the kitchen equipment is of excellent quality, with Fiskars and Pentik items throughout. The washing machine and dryer, as well as the outdoor clothes and shoe dryer, were much appreciated. The sauna was nice but could have been hotter! Sledges were provided, thought we didn't try them out this time. Host Veli-Matti is very helpful and easy to contact, with quick replies to questions. We would highly recommend Villa Peippo for a family holiday, especially in winter!

only 1 toilet so can be difficult if there re more than 5 paxes but the small inconvenience is still worth it.

Fantastic location and atmosphere; charming structure and interiors; apartment was fully furnished and very comfortable.

Perfect spot. In the nature but not far away from the city. The host was super kind and helpful as we arrived in the evening he made sure we were able to get there in no time/stress free. The villa is a dream and has everything you need. Quiet place close to a panoramic spot. Most activities will pick you up from the Villa or from a pick up spot 5 min walking distance.

Great location and fabulous house. My husband loved the sauna. The kids thought it was brilliant and being 15 & 11 loved the free WiFi. The host was so accommodating and we also rented a car through hertz with him. Would highly recommend this property. True winter wonderland. Holiday to remember.

The structure is really beautiful, comfortable and close to the Santa Claus village The host is kind and willing to meet guests' needs We had a mishap a few days before arriving and were able to move the booking a few days without any problems Villa Peippo is super recommended!

The villa is perfect for families or groups of friends traveling by car to Rovaniemi region. The location is prefect for nature lovers, who want to spend their holidays secluded from crowds yet in a villa with comfort. Having travelled extensively throughout Europe I dare to suggest that this was one of the best equipped kitchens we have experienced. Bed comfort, bed linen, facilities and the amount of space was perfect for our family of 5. The hospitality of the owner is exceptional.

We stayed at Villa Peippo for three nights and had a great great time here! Yes I mean it! The house is big enough for six people. It is always warm and cozy. You can find everything for daily life - from washing machine to coffee maker. It makes us really feel like at home. Sauna also works well! I wanna especially thank our host VM and his family. He is such a gentleman that had given us so much help. I feel so greatful of meeting such nice person here. Sincerely and highly recommend Villa peippo if you stay in Rovaniemi!
