Very comfortable great food

Good location to further explore Catlins area

Service at the pub Sunday night wasn't very friendly

The location was central and the room small, but comfortable and warm.

The staff were harried and short. It looked as if they were short staffed so they were impatient. We ate there the first night and it was clear that the staff were not happy. The next night was much pleasanter. There was no hair drier.

They were short on some cultery

just loved the hospitality of the staff and the locals. The kitchen staff were only too happy to make menu alterations for us and the bar staff treated us as long lost friends. the locals offered to shout us drinks when they found out that we were there for a local wedding and we had travelled from Taranaki.

That we didn’t stay longer.

Perfect for a one night stay. Compact room & could get a meal on site.

Would have like a chair in the room. Just some where to sit rather than have to lie on bed.

Good for a night while exploring the Catlins and surrounding areas!

Didn’t have breakfast there

1. The pots and pans in the kitchen are a health hazard, all scratched and Rusty, we were not able to cook anything in them. Stainless steel pots are better, then people can’t scratch them with utensils. Please replace them asap. The General cleanliness of the place leaves a lot to be desired, Windows were filthy, No dishcloth, no flannels, the furniture was stained, ripped curtains in the bedroom. TV was only on TVNZ plus 1 hour, and we could only get that channel.

Really spacious, clean and comfortable apartment which was fantastic value for money. Loved the rear deck and the ducks!

Had to ask twice for pillowcases for a bed and kitchen linen. Staff were grumpy and did things grudgingly compared to other places we stayed at. Maybe over worked? Had 2 ask twice about washing facilities as well and fit in with their washing which wasn’t ready by given time. Disappointing it was a good apartment though for a group with easy access out the back. Evening meal serving tables was poor with grumpy unfriendly staff member

Great value, the room was quite small. Friendly house keeping staff, who brought us water on our last morning when there was a power cut and no water

The hot water system. The hot water was very unreliable and I did not appreciate the water going cold half way through my shower. The conference room which was also our sitting area wasn't clean and the kitchen grubby

They double book our self contained unit so just had a dble room was not charged for it

We dined at the inn and this was terrific. There was one very overworked staff member doing bookings, serving meals, the bottleshop and the bar. The meal we had was basic but very good. The bar had a nice atmosphere. The bathroom in the room was good

There were no glasses and we had to wash one of the cups as it was filthy. The net curtains were ripped and the curtains themselves were also very dirty. The room was very small.

Location is good, excellent food and the room was good value for money , while small it had a ensuite.

If it was possible a small fridge/freezer and small top so that maybe you could get your own cereals etc in saying this they are happy for you to use the fridge and conference area for breakfast prep. This would not stop me from staying at this place again.

Location is good. Close to most of the Catlins attractions.

The flat was well set out.

We liked the location with the horses and cows out the back. Place was spacious and handy to everything. Very quiet.

Needed more cutlery, place could have been a bit cleaner

the shower was amazing

dirty, smelled of grease through out the rooms, obviously no cleaning had been done at all. spider webs everywhere, windows so dirty. couch had stains, fridge was dirty. oven had bits of food in it from previous stayers, dishes were still dirty, wanted to reheat food in oven but had to go buy own tin foil dish.

The pub was very noisy, a lot of yelling and arguing in the car park at midnight. WIFI didn’t work.
