I haveto say I was disappointed when o arrived, there was 2 dog beds on the master bed , a vacuum cleaner in the room with the cord loose. Place was very dusty also, was not child proof. I had a knee replacement last December so I was not able to go down to the lake, very disappointed

This home is beautiful - and the owners clearly take pride in this special place. Down to the smallest detail, the home is beautiful. The back porch is a perfect spot to relax and the dock is large with a beautiful view. The sunset pictures we took here were stunning. Thank you, Jack, for your communication and help with answering questions.

The house was great. Exactly as described. Stairs were exactly as reported. Doable. Nice dock. Could use more cabinet space for our supplies. Don’t like to use other folks things. Cleaned out dressers would be a plus. Felt like I was sharing space with the owner without the owner being there. LOVE the back porch. Could live there. You have a lovely home. Thanks for sharing. Go Clemson.

This house is so comfortable and cozy it felt like home! We could feel the love shared there. It was on point from how it presented online. The dock and lake and view amazing! Communication with the host superb from the beginning and so well appreciated! We can’t wait to come back again soon! We feel very blessed to have stayed there!

This was exactly as listed. The home was big enough for both family that stayed.’there are a lot of steps to the dock but kids didn’t mind. We didn’t have a boat with us so we didn’t get to experience the full lake. We did find a book in the kitchen that listed close parks to visit, thanks for that, we found a beautiful state park with a river that all kids could swim in. Loved the porch swing. Really enjoyed our stay.

The property met all expectations. Loved the screened in porch.

We had a wonderful time at this home. It's pet friendly and rustic. The porch overlooking the lake was what drew me to it online. I was not disappointed. the beds were comfortable and the atmosphere welcoming. We enjoyed our stay!

Lovely property. Lots of steps to the lake.

Overall property was absolutely beautiful. Only downside was our boats and the climb. You cannot drive a boat and trailer down to the cabin AT ALL, the driveway is incredibly steep. The dock is beautiful but there is 102 steps almost straight up to get to the cabin.
The cabin was absolutely beautiful, just did not expect that steep of a driveway or stairs, it was mentioned in the description, but not to that extent. I do not want to take away from the beauty of the property, however. So if you are in shape, and you’re not bringing a boat, I highly recommend.

We loved sitting on the porch and the fabulous dock in the evenings! The house was very well stocked with everything you may need (appliances, grill, charcoal, etc.). Jack was very generous and let us use the covered slip for our boat while there.
For the negatives:
The house had a pretty strong dog smell from previous renters. I can tell they’ve tried their best to clean up after incidents. We ended up buying Febreeze to try to mask the smell during our stay.
I feel the number of steps (102!) down to the dock should be noted in the description.

Our family had a fantastic stay at this house on Lake Hartwell! We've rented several homes over the years at Lake Hartwell for family vacations, and this might have been our favorite home so far. The house is laid out very well and they had everything that we needed during the stay. The dock was particularly impressive, and we all mentioned that it was the best dock we'd used on Hartwell (great area to pull-in your boat, lots of seating, a huge umbrella for shade, and lots of places for the kids to jump in).
Jack was an excellent communicator during the whole process, and he answered the few questions that we had during the trip very quickly. Several reviews have mentioned the amount of steps from the house to the dock, and there's a lot of them. As long as you know that it's a legit climb up and down each time, then it's not a surprise. You just have to take your time if needed (my 71 year old parents went up and down several times each day and they made it just fine).
We really enjoyed our stay, and we would stay here again in the future.

We only live about an hour away and wanted a long weekend for 6 adults. The house was very clean, has a beautiful screened porch and deck on the back as well as a very nice dock on deep water on lake Hartwell. We had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for 6 of us and there were actually a few more places to sleep so several more people could and gone with us. The kitchen had more than enough pots pans plates cups small appliances, even three different coffee makers. Thank you for sharing your lake home!

Our New Year's rental was cancelled last minute and we were desperately searching for a place the night before and luckily found the Lakehouse. The house looks even better in person, so spacious and welcoming. We had everything we needed and more for our family getaway including all the kitchen essentials. It felt like a home away from home. It was a chilly muggy weekend so we were disappointed to learn the fireplace was not available due to a previous renter. That would be the only complaint, our stay was lovely and communication was great. I would highly recommend the Lakehouse!

The house was great ended up being bigger then we needed but being aloud to have our fur babies with us at Xmas was great ... Would love to totally check it out again when weather was better so we could enjoy all the house has ... A definite go back to

We stayed here and our Clemson children met us there to spend the weekend. It was a great getaway for them, about 30 minutes from campus.
The house was great! Well decorated, spacious, and had everything we needed in the kitchen! Listing said electric smoker was available, so we planned our menu around that; however, it was so filthy—whomever used it before didn’t clean it, so that was a bummer.
Being on the lake was great—lots of steps to get to the water from the house! The dock was really nice and the kids enjoyed laying out. (The water was too low for swimming, but still enjoyed the great view!)
My favorite feature was the screened-in porch! So cozy—perfect for relaxing!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable lake house. The pictures actually didn’t do it justice, better in real life. Lake was beautiful and dock was so nice to be able to relax and enjoy. Loved the loungers and umbrella down there.
The porch was so cozy and such a relaxing place to spend time reading or hanging out with family.
Thank you for sharing your home with us. Would definitely rent again.

Great family stay
Had a great time at this property. House is well maintained and stocked, as well as being spotless.
The path to the dock is very steep so be prepared. Well maintained stairs but a LOT of them. Water is shallow at dock, for a long way out. Very safe and fun for kids, but no diving!
Under 10 minutes to grocery store so that’s handy. Quite off the beaten path so not much in way of local restaurants (many of which are only open thurs to sun on the lake anyway—so be prepared to cook in the well appointed kitchen!).

Lake Trip
For the most I really enjoyed the house and the lake. The house was nice, comfortable, and clean. However some of the lights in the house didn’t work. Also some of the light switches seemed complicated. If multiple switches controlled the some lights it almost seemed like you had to have them in a certain order to use the switch. But overall the house was enjoyable.

Great stay
Lovely week on the lake. Quiet area with not a lot of traffic and plenty of room to play. Loved that our boys and their friends had the downstairs area to themselves. Definite workout on the stairs. Be sure to have all your necessities for the day! Owners were responsive and easy to get in touch with with any questions.

Nice clean home! Needs some maintenance and full body workout to dock!
Our stay was overall nice. The home was clean and there was plenty of room. The house however is in need of some maintenance. Upon arrival the lighting for the stairs would not work and it's a dark area. The breaker was tripped, and we had to figure out which switch was tripping it and leave that light off to get stair lights working. In the master bath for some reason the toilet overflowed from the bottom out of the blue while it was not being used. The room under the stairs which we did not have to use smelt really bad like mold or something. We could not get any programming on the downstairs tv and the porch swing fell on one side while 1 person not swinging was sitting on it. Upon inspection we noticed many holes in the ceiling where it appeared it had fell many times before. We also had to move the owners boat because they didn't have time to move it and we had to move it back when we left. The dock is in desperate need of some more cleats for tying up the boats. The listing for this rental should include a photo of how steep and how many stairs there are to the lake. Besides myself and spouse the rest of our group was in their 20's and the hike was ruff on them not to mention us. There is no running back to the house if you forget something. The steep hike from the dock really was the main takeaway. We rented the house to enjoy a weekend on the water and would have spent more time doing that except the dreaded stairs back up to the house. Older people and people with small kids should be fully aware of the stairs leading to the dock.

This property was just perfect! From the back porch swing to the kitchen to the lake!!!
We made life long memories here. Simply put, the house was perfect and well supplied! The back porch swing was a family favorite. Fishing from the dock and swimming our days away was just a perfect way to spend the days.
My only consideration for this house is if you have difficulty with stairs it would be hard to get back and forth to the lake.
But the house was just beautiful! The dock was perfect! Can’t recommend this one enough!!

Perfect Clemson Graduation getaway
Our stay was fabulous and the house had everything we needed. It was extremely clean and we had a fabulous time. Perfect space for us to stay for my son’s Clemson graduation. Would definitely recommend it for a long weekend for a Clemson game.

Banks Christmas Trip
Our trip was amazing! This was a beautiful home in a beautiful location on the lake. It was clean, very well stocked, lots of extras, and we had plenty of room. It’s just a short drive to many interesting landmarks and Helen. Our contact person was super nice and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Lakefront paradise
Loved loved loved this home! We’ve stayed at many VRBO homes on Lake Hartwell and this was one of our faves!! Spent most of our days on screened porch enjoying breeze and views. Home very well stocked but grocery store about 15 mins away. Peaceful private and quiet…..views are fantastic! We hope to return again. Thank you to the owners for sharing their lovely home with us!

Relaxing at the lake
Our time spent at this lake house was quiet, relaxing and left us yearning for a few more days to enjoy it! The house is well furnished and provides ample space to gather or find a quiet spot to read or relax. The kitchen has pretty much everything you might need to create a family feast. The back porch is magical! The only flaw I could find would be the stairs going to the dock/lake as they are not easy to navigate at night, are very steep and have poor lighting so be careful. Overall a perfect get away, we will be back.

Nice Lake House
The home was cozy. We enjoyed the screened in-porch especially on the rainy days. The dock was fun for swimming and fishing. We also enjoyed the paddle board and canoe.

Gorgeous house!
We had a great stay at the lake house when our family came in to town. We had six adults, a teenager, and a large dog in our group; there was plenty of space. We loved the screen porch and the dock. The views were gorgeous! The house was well stocked and clean. We will definitely consider renting again in the future.

Loved this place!
Our 2 dogs, my husband, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the lake in Westminster. The home was beautiful, very clean, super comfortable, and had everything we needed and then some. Jack was easy to contact and checked in to see if we needed anything. It was great to be able to dock our pontoon boat. The only negative was the very many steep stairs down to the dock. We certainly got our cardio in every day!

Nice place to relax or be on the go!
Love this house. Very homey and personal. I know redundant, the stairs to the lake were a workout, but I will not complain. Every time we went down, it was worth the walk back up. Quiet neighbors. Noce nearby towns with plenty to do

Lovely Lake Home
This house is very spacious and has wonderful decorations and an amazing screened in porch with plenty of cozy chairs and a day bed/swing that was great for reading a book or relaxing with the family. There was plenty of space for sleeping all seven of us and all the amenities needed for meals. The dock is a bit of a walk down (101 steps) but once there you have two canoes, paddle board, and fishing equipment ready to put to use. We didn’t have any luck with fishing, but we are not experts!
We had a communication problem on check in and couldn’t reach the owner for the access code to the key until a few hours after check in time, leading us to wait outside the home with only a weak WiFi signal for almost an hour.
The house also didn’t have dish soap or toilet paper refills but the stores in town helped out here.
Overall, we really loved our trip to the house and will have great memories of our time there.

Great home at the lake!
Wonderful and spacious house on the lake. The most well-stocked kitchen I've ever seen. Also, the cleanest home we have ever rented. The lake & the weather was great. Communication was seamless. And it comes with a free incline workout with the stairs to the lake :) All worth it though!

We had a very relaxing stay. The house is nicely decorated and has a great screened in porch with very comfortable gliding Adirondack chairs and a swinging day bed. It’s surrounded by trees which keep it cool. You still get a peek-a-boo view of the lake. We spent a lot of time on that porch! As noted in the description there are a lot of steps to the dock but it was manageable for us and we are in our 50’s. Also as noted, WiFi was not good. It was only good enough to check email but we expected that and needed to unplug for a few days so it was fine. The pictures show 3 or 4 nice lounge chairs on the dock but there was only 1 and part of another. There weren’t any life jackets so we didn’t use the canoe but we borrowed a life jacket from the neighbor and our daughter enjoyed the paddle board. There weren’t any bean bags so we couldn’t play corn hole. Hopefully the owner has replaced these things so the next person can enjoy them. The only other negatives were that the mattress in the master bedroom was very saggy on one side and we could not sleep on it. We had to sleep in one of the the basement bedrooms. The screened in porch door was missing a handle and would not close all the way due it to dragging the ground. The kitchen could use a couple of pots with lids. The shower heads had such a wide, fine spray (water saver?) that my daughter and I had trouble rinsing our hair. Some nice extras about the home are that there were several board games and a game/poker table in the basement lounge area. We had some fun game nights. The refrigerator has a filtered water dispenser so we didn’t need bottled water There were lots of extras in the kitchen like spices, aluminum foil, etc. if you like to smoke meats they have everything you need.Overall, we had a nice stay and thought it was a very nice house on a beautiful, quiet part of the lake.

My family and I went on vacation with some friends. We had a total of 3 teenagers. They loved the canoe and paddle board. The weather was amazing and the sunsets were breathtaking. The home was roomy and cozy. They kept most necessities in stock in the kitchen and throughout the home. I would like to give a heads up to future travelers about the road leading to the house is small and winding. Don’t attempt taking your boat trailer down there. Cell phone service is limited all around that area. Also start working out prior to you trip so you can tackle the stairs up and down to the dock with ease. It was a struggle for me and I think I’ll be feeling it for weeks. We had such a great time! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with vacationers.

Great location on the lake with a well stocked house. We went to a wedding in Westminster and rafting on the Chattooga. They are serious about the steepness of the drive. Make certain that you get good directions, especially if you are arriving after dark.

Very nice and comforatable. Love all the Clemson Tiger decor. Glad we were all in good condition, as the steps leading to the dock were a bit challanging . Once down on the dock the trip was worth it. Thanks for having a canoe to paddle around in. Even caught some fish, which made my husband very happy. Thanks for sharing the cabin with us. GO Tiger!!!
