The location was great. Communication with the host was excellent. Jonathan let me check in early which was a great help. The apartment was spotless and the bed very comfortable. It felt much larger than the pictures indicate . Lots of natural sunlight. Check in a breeze . Would stay again.

Interesting setup for getting in (with a blue-tooth-activated outdoor lock), but required downloading an app and giving that app access to my information to use it--didn't like that. I liked that the main door had a lockbox, so that was easy to use and didn't require me giving out info. Could be a cute place because of the nice decor, furniture, and amenities in the bathroom and kitchen, but too many other problems make the place and its owner creepy (see complaints below). Bed and day bed (used as a couch in my case) were very comfortable, and place was quiet, at least.

Owner asks you to clean your own linens at checkout and does not have replacement linens for the next customer or else why does he not clean the linens you paid him to clean? He also does not keep proper track of what linens or items are in the house when you check in! So BEWARE! when you check out, he simply accuses you of stealing whatever he considers to be missing; yep, he accused me of stealing towels which, of course, I did not! He also tried to scam me before I arrived by saying he would charge extra for every hour past 5am during checkout , but quickly backtracked when I called him on it. The blinds on all but the interior hallway window leave a full foot or foot and a half of open window for people to look in on you; it's quite creepy, because the house is situated on a main, busy street in downtown Harrisburg and the bedroom window and living room window offer anyone in the alley a nice view of you inside if a light is on. There are several doors without interior locks, including the main door, basement door, and a weird door in the bathroom, adding to the creepy mystique. Master bed is up against a radiator such that any linens that drop down can quickly become a huge fire hazard. Strange pipes and tubes in the large, open walk in closet, and unfinished ceiling in main living area. Felt unsafe. And owner is not to be trusted, obviously. I have a complaint filed with Booking.Com and hope this property is removed as it does not live up to the standards of other properties represented by this company.
