Lori was absolutely amazing with her communication and so sweet! She gave suggestions of places nearby for the kids. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. The lake and beach are only a 5 minute drive. Beach is small but so, so nice. They provided two kayaks and a paddle boat (just make sure you have a way of transporting them), the kids had a blast! They also loved the ping pong and pool table! The wrap around porch is wonderful with plenty of tables and seating is provided. We didn’t have a chance to get to the pool because it rained for two days but we still had fun at the house on those days.

Great location in a beautiful area. The house was clean and very cozy for our group. Great place to stay when visiting the area! Hight recommend!

From the picture it doesn't show how many steps to get up to it . The spiral stair case in side is small for adults &for children We were told not to take the sheets off before we departed . We don't think they wash the sheets we found Black stuff in the sheets Wear your shoes in the house Our feet were black with fuzzy black stuff on them washed our feet before we went to bed. Don't know if they allow dogs but that maybe were the black fur came from We have been rent for 10 years this is the first one I gave a poor review & beach passes are only good Mon -Thurs we were there for the weekend

This property was perfect for our family who were coming from four different directions and meeting here. The multiple bedrooms and many bathrooms made it possible for each family group to have their own space without the need to share sleeping and bath facilities. We appreciated the fact that it is a pet friendly property. The open space main living area was large enough for us all to gather - plenty of seating, toys, games, activities appropriate for all ages. There is a very large deck with plenty of seating and outdoor tables, etc. as well as a fire pit area which we enjoyed. We were there off season so did not try to use any of the Treasure Lake facilities though we did walk on the cart lanes of the golf course. Although this property itself is near the lake and you can see it through the trees, it is not possible to walk to the shore line as all access is through other private property lining the entire perimeter of the lake. There is a beach area; however the roads through the Treasure Lake complex are really not conducive to foot traffic so one should be prepared to drive to the community beach area. There are kayaks and water/beach toys available for guest use, however given the time of year and weather we did not use them. Do not expect anything in the nearby town of DuBois. Other than a wonderful bakery (Uzi's) and a couple of decent restaurants, there is not much to recommend. Don't be misled by online recommendations of what there is to see or do - many businesses have closed; shopping is limited standard strip mall shops; other than activities featured in the Treasure Lake community itself (which we did not try to access) you will have to drive 40 minutes or more to find anything additional.

We had a wonderful weekend and loved the layout of the house which was much bigger than we imagined. The 5 bathrooms were a surprise. The location is awesome and we drove to see the elk which we enjoyed. The owners couldn't have been more accommodating and the property was well stocked.

The house/property we rented for the week of 8/14 - 8/20 was very nice, 5 bedrooms and 5 baths in a lovely, wooded setting. However, our rental agreement included pool passes for the outdoor pool complex ( as we had at a different rental on Treasure Lake last year). They were no passes. The contact person (a friend of the owner) told us the pool was closed for repairs. This was a lie. Pool was open. When I called the owner, she made up some story about all passes being confiscated by the HOA and that we could go there and ask to buy a week pass. When I went to the office, the staff at the HOA said the pool passes were taken away from THIS owner because she was making copies and not buying them for her house. So now the owner lied too. Even though we paid for the pool passes in our rental agreement we were unable to utilize a big part of the Treasure Lake experience. VRBO needs to be aware of what is going on here. I trusted the reviews and had hoped VRBO would do some vetting of the properties/homeowners. Last year's rental was great! That's why we were so excited to come back. However, I expect at least a partial refund as the rental agreement was broken by the homeowner. We DID NOT GET WHAT WE PAID FOR! Sincerely, Perilinda Pucillo

Our overall experience was okay. We felt that the description of the house was a little misleading. We had an issue with the pool passes. Members can use the passes, not the guests renting the house. The house fit our family of 13 pretty well, but the house wasn't very clean. A lot of dust, hair and dirt. The table for us to eat at was actually the pool/ping pong table which was a little inconvenient to take the boards/table cloth on and off to eat. There is also no fishing for guests, only members. Lori was good to get back to me rather quickly when messaged.

Our family had a great vacation at The Lake House. Lori and Mimi did an excellent job. The ping pong table, pool table, video games, and the pool were huge hits with the kids and grand child. Great vacation.

My husband and friends had an excellent time. Location is in great proximity to the beautiful golf courses.

The home was very nice and well maintained the owner was very easy to deal with. We had a major power outage while we were there. The house has everything we needed to get through it and the owner walked us through getting everything back on line

Plenty of space for 10 and pet friendly. Everything you need. Owner very responsive. Stayed over New Years. Loved the deck space and fire pit. Walking distance to convenience store and restaurant/bar.

We stayed in the Lake house for Christmas 2021.The property was very comfortable and very equipped. We loved that there was a Christmas three. You don't need to bring anything other than food and personal stuff. We were a group of 14 with ages raging from 7 to 55 and everybody enjoyed it. The neighborhood is beautiful and Ms. Lori is very kind and attentive tenant. We 100% recommend this place. Thanks Lori!!

We had a great stay at this house. The house was clean, had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, and has living areas big enough to easily accommodate large groups. Thank you, we will definitely be back!

We left the house in perfect condition but never received our security deposit back. I emailed the owner 3 times and got no response! Feeling frustrated and a bit angry. The house was roomy. The price was reasonable. It had a nice layout. Outside there was a nice fire pit area and deck. The yard was sloped and uneven. So it was difficult to play games in it. We loved the large "table" we could all sit at. The chairs in the living room were a bit old.

We didn’t know where the keys were when we checked in but fortunately we found them! Lori was great to work with! We loved our time at this house!

inside was good. Outside was filthy. Junk piled up under the deck. the deck was uneven, dirty, and is badly in need of repair. The two grills on the deck were filthy and covered with grease. The down spout next to the deck was broken and hanging. The steps on the deck in the rear have no railing. I have some pictures if anyone wants them! give me an email address to send them to.

Was very spacious and was nice having a bathroom connected to the bedrooms. Could have used a good cleaning but otherwise all was ok.

We stayed in this awesome house with our large family of all ages. The little ones loved the spiral staircase and downstairs area. The upstairs had several bathrooms and an awesome kitchen area. The kitchen was well stocked. The deck was a highlight with a wonderful heater and a fire pit down below. There was plenty of room for our large group and we had bathrooms to spare! The best part of the trip is the host, Lori. She was so responsive and quick to help. We even left a card with gift cards and cash there and she went out of her way to find them for us and she’s even going to mail them to us!!! We appreciate an honest and caring host like that. We can’t wait to stay again and enjoy the beautiful pool, lake, and house.

A great home for indoor / outdoor living! We WILL recommended to be back for our annual Golf trip!

Several in our family rated this the best vacation in years. The accommodations are nicely designed and generously proportioned. Both the property owner and manager were very responsive and cooperative. Only negative was that we brought kayaks for recreation and a boat intending to fish, but learned outside watercraft are not allowed on the private lake. Owner and property manager were very accommodating to us however and we highly reccommend this property.

We have so much fun there. The please it's so nice for relaxing and have fun. You feel like you are at your on home..

I’m in Indianapolis, one brother in Chicago, and the other in Boston,m. Our parents and families were all able to finally get together, 15 of us all together and had a great time. We played pool and ping pong, enjoyed the beautiful nature, had some fires and s’mores, went swimming and to the beach all was lovely. Plenty of space and rooms for all. Tons of cookware and dishes for everyone. Hoping to book again next year!!

We had a wonderful experience with this house and property. It is very quiet and the house has all you could ever need! We stayed in March when weather was like a roller coaster. Not much to do in the area for the kids at that time of year, but if you’re looking for a great relaxation place, this is it! Beautiful golf courses and plenty of places to eat! The hosts were wonderful - very responsive and helpful.

We had a few questions during our stay and the owners were wonderful and patient!! We loved the space especially having younger grandchildren. There was a gate at the top of the steps and the living/dining area was more spacious than the pictures. We were so thankful to have the time together in this great home. I think there are a few repairs needed but they are minor. And we were overall, so thankful for this opportunity!!
