Loved location as it kept me close to everything I needed while in town for high school annual picnic. Kitchen was fantastic as I was able to do some baking and cooking for family and friends,sine this is my home town. Kathy is an EXCELLENT host and I plan on using her lodging again in the future.

lovely old townhouse with big dining und kitchen area. Great for gatherings with friends and family. Close to Oakpark Downtown with many restaurants and small independ shops. Close to Metro. Just about 25 minutes to Chicago downtown. Very friendly and helpfull landlady lives in the same building.

We stayed a week at Ms. Kathy’s home. We knew nothing about Illinois, except we wanted to be kind of between our daughter who we were visiting in Channahon, and Chicago. Oak Park is wonderful! I could literally spend all day just walking the historic neighborhood. You can walk to downtown Oak Park, which is a great place for meals, treats, book store, historic movie theatre & a host of other places. If you want, the walk to the “L” train is doable. The actual home is beautiful! There are 2 fairly large bedrooms & both beds are incredibly comfortable. The main bed is adjustable & it vibrates! (Insert cheeky comment here). Also, the large couch folds out - the mattress is inflatable & is very comfortable. The bathroom is beautiful - plenty of hot water & towels. Kitchen is stocked; large oven & gas stove top. We’re from Alabama, so we only know how to survive with central air. This home does not have that, but each room has an air unit & there’s a large unit in living room. And we were very comfortable. Ms. Kathy, the owner, is great. She lives in the basement - you’ll be on the main floor. I texted her with several questions throughout the week & she’s quick & friendly in response. She was very kind, recommending lots of things we can do, both in Chicago & in Oak Park. This place is 5 stars, and I can’t wait to come back in the winter to play in the snow!

We had a great time at Kathy's fairly priced and very conveniently located apartment in Oak Park. Perfect condition and exactly the right amount of access to the owner. We will definitely make this our home base for frequent trips to Chicago area in the future

My five year old, husband and myself stayed at this beautifully preserved place and absolutely loved it. It was comfortable with modern amenities while also preserving the historic parts. Kathy was very attentive and communicative when needed. We came from out of town for a memorial so staying here definitely helped with soothing our souls from all of the grief we had been encountering. Thank you Kathy for your kindness and hospitality! 🙏

Lovely home in a beautiful neighborhood, very spacious for our family of 4, fully-stocked kitchen, easy street parking, owner responds lightning-fast. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely apartment with hardwood floors throughout, lots of antiques and unique touches that make it a relaxing retreat. The location is convenient to downtown Oak Park and the trains (Green Line and Metra). The owner is very responsive and you can tell she takes a lot of love and care in maintaining and keeping it clean. There is some noise from the people living in the apartment above, but it is not bothersome and only happens during awake hours. It’s typical for an old hardwood floor apartment building. We had a very relaxing and restful stay. The beds are great too! I really loved the chandelier in the bathroom! The adjustable lighting everywhere really helps for a cozy atmosphere. This is one of the best VRBO’s that I’ve stayed at!

We enjoyed our brief stay in this lovely unit. The bedrooms were great and our daughter particularly liked the bright front bedroom. The location is ideal for historic central Oak Park - just a 10-minute walk to downtown and trains to Chicago. We’d be glad to stay again.

This property is fantastic and completely met our needs. It’s close to some great restaurants and shopping. We traveled to downtown Chicago to the Field Museum, Magnificent Mile shopping, etc and to 6 Flags Great America in Guernee. It was wonderful to have this home-like space to come back to after busy days of sightseeing. Kathy, the owner, made check-in, etc so easy and was always very responsive to our messages. We had more than enough space for our family of 4 and would definitely stay here again!

My group of friends and I live all across the country, all in different states. So, when we finally got one night to come together to hang out, we took the opportunity. We’re all originally from the Chicagoland area, so when we found this place, it was perfect! Kathy was very communicative and so kind to allow us to stay at her home. The apartment was so cute and comfortable. It matched the pictures exactly. There was even a rooftop area to sit outside! The location was also very nice. The check in and out process was incredibly easy. This was my first time using VRBO, and I will be back to use it in the future. Fantastic stay!

Home was comfortable for our family of four. We were in town visiting relatives. It worked out great having them come over to be together. There is plenty of space. I would definitely rent this property.

Everything about the house is perfect! We were in town for a concert at the United Center, the location was perfect! 6 of us ate, drank and slept there and loved everything about it!in the morning we walked around the neighborhood, adorable! We all can’t wait to go back!

I needed a place to stay close to Loyola Medical Center, as my father was having surgery and staying for several days. This apartment was perfect for me. It was only about 10 minutes from the hospital. Parking was easy, right on the street on the side of house. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. I slept so well from the very first night - I couldn't believe it! The neighborhood is adorable. My brother stayed the first two nights, and we were able to go for walks in the later evening when we got back from the hospital. We stayed right before Halloween, and many of the homes in the neighborhood were decorated for the holiday – like all out decorated. I can only imagine how brightly this neighborhood must be lit up for Christmas! Kathy was so easy to reach to answer any questions I had. She also offered to leave homemade soup for me. That was so kind and appreciated after long days at the hospital. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend to anyone.

We were int own to meet friends and just spend the night. After seeing the house we all wished were staying longer. There are so many little details to this property that stuck out as special, from the books and literature, to the fire pit on the patio. We were treated to live music by a band playing at a neighborhood block party. Awesome! It can often be awkward when staying in a space in which the owner lives close by but Kathy was very easy to work with and available if needed. We def want to stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Apartment was very spacious and parking in front was a breeze. Lovely, walkable neighborhood. Easy to get to and from United Center for our concert weekend.

We were just there a quick overnight but it was perfect for us. Quiet and very comfortable. Kathy was easy to communicate with and accommodating. Listing was accurate and worked well for our family with two young kids.

We were in Chicago for a very quick trip and enjoyed our stay. The property is in a great neighborhood, accessible to public transit, and the owner was very responsive with any questions we had. We would stay here again, it's a great home base when exploring the city.

The location was perfect for our Wright sites trip and the proximity to the Green Line of the "L" which took us to downtown Chicago couldn't have been better.

Kathy is an amazing host and her home is in an ideal location. It's a few minutes walk from shopping and the green L line that takes you directly to the loop in 30 minutes. The place is very clean, spacious, and air conditioned. I recommend it for everyone

We were so happy with our rental. We were very comfortable and each of us had our own bedroom. The host was always available and quite pleasant.

This house was perfect location for us traveling back for funeral. It was large space, cozy, clean and quiet. We cooked great meals in the large kitchen, walked the area and had a lovely dinner out on the garage rooftop. Owner was awesome!
