My son and I had a great week of trout fishing, exploring and relaxation!! Shout out to the fine folks who work at the Riviera restaurant. Highly recommended dining .

It was the perfect getaway for the weekend. We only wished we would have booked a longer stay. Lake was beautiful, cottage cozy and it was a great location. Lake access was perfect for the kids. Thanks again for having us we will be back

Lovely cottage on the lake. Fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. We had a great time and so did our dog Baloo. He never wanted to stop swimming and fetching. We played games and had a wonderful time.

Wonderful!, this older home seems to cradle you. We felt comfortable right away. Spent alot of time on the dock sunning and fishing. It supplied us three great trout dinners. High quality fish in this lake. Would love to come again.

Initial communication was an issue, along with cleanliness upon arrival (scheduling issue with cleaning service). But the owner made everything right (had service come out and fix immediately). Our stay was wonderful after that, and it's a beautiful home in a very tranquil location. Will be definitely returning!

We had a really nice stay at the lake cabin. The views are beautiful- morning and evening. Very quiet. The amenities can't be beat. Two different fireplaces- one in and out. The house was clean and comfortable. The island is charming - get used to waving- because everyone does it on the island. The general store is friendly and the prepared meals are terrific. Whoever makes the chicken and dumplings is a star. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We just booked another visit for the holiday season.

Our family was searching for a little staycation during this pandemic to get away from it all. We quickly found this Anderson Island home and from the pictures of the location and views I quickly booked it since it was available. When we arrived the home itself had more wear on it then I had expected from the pictures but in the end it had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. I wouldn't recommend this property for anyone with very small children as there is a lot of smaller knick knacks and such around the house. But, for our almost 3 yo it was a treasure chest of fun - with lots of parental supervision! We all enjoyed the lake that was right outside our front door, enjoyed coffee and evenings sitting on the deck, tried our hand at fishing, and our daughter enjoyed the tree swing and dirt and water to play in as well. It was nice that the water was very shallow around the dock and beach since we had a little one around. I also appreciated that the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, pots, etc! So, if you're looking for a cozy little house to stay in this is for you - not modern but like being at grandma's house.

Such a great time! Jimmy and Bonnie’s place is full of antique charm, Kitchen fully stocked with supplies, plenty of towels, blankets. Being your food, eat out on the Calm, quiet lakeside patio. Jimmy was super responsive to questions and as friendly as can be. Our family will undoubtedly return.

The property is somewhat dated but it is as described. The best part is the location lake front. A bit of banging from the restaurant at night. Overall we had a great time!

I am a returning guest to this special cottage, on the lake, over the past twenty years. The setting is beautiful and the cottage very welcoming. You will not be disappointed should you stay at the Lake Cottage.

The property is not on Hairstine Island as listed in Vrbo, but on Anderson Island. Beautiful lake property. The cottage had everything we needed. It was a great cozy and relaxing getaway. We will definitely go again.

Everything we needed and More was there we had a wonderful stay on the forward to returning !! Saturday morning there was a light fog drifting over Lake Josephine that was quite magical

House is right on the lake. Perfect location. Next to restaurant but still quiet. Quaint decor and lots of open space. Would come back again.
