Everything was worn out. Oven did not work. Stove partially worked. A large portable oven was placed on the counter. This eliminated all counterspace. It was always very hot to touch. Limited cooking equipment. One pot. Could only bake a small item. It made cooking for a family of five challenging. All three toilets backed up. Keep plungers handy. Both sliding glass doors did not lock. Tubs lacked safety grips in the tubs. It was actually dangerous. (rental company fixed this.) Upper deck has worn wood and feels unsafe. Floor is soft leading to upper deck. Front screen door does not close. One of the deck chairs broke while sitting in it. It had rusted out. Carpets are dirty and worn. Cockroaches were found in multiple places.. Air conditioning was good as was the Internet connection. Bryant realty company were supportive and helpful . I would not stay here again. Over 20 years of renting beach condominiums and homes, this was by far the worst place we have stayed in.

We recently stayed here in June 2024. There were 3 of us. We are single mothers who saved up money for this vacation, and we were very excited- until we walked into this condo.
It is dirty.... outdated...dangerous in places... and VERY disappointing.
The owner should invest some thought, time and money into this condo. Oven not working, deck chair trashed, sleeper sofa broken, overhead sink light burn out, dining room table light has a short, floor in master bedroom squishy in bath & in front of sliders. Both slider locks are broken, place was not just grubby but dirty- no one dusted or properly cleaned in ages.
We left feeling stolen from, and that this unit was misrepresented.
We never received the email regarding the broken sleeper sofa. We did not call Realtor to have place cleaned agin- that should have been done properly before check in- not on our time!
Bryant Real Estate is at the helm, and there is an “owner” associated with this rental unit. I would have higher standards and expectations if this were my business.
Do not stay here- keep looking!

This property "Bobs Place" was a good place to stay and wind down. It was right on the beach and had two private balconies. The only downside was the floors could use a good cleaning and an update to the furniture. Other than that all was great

Very old .... outdated .. condo needs a face-lift really bad and for what I paid for for 2 nights should cover a couple rooms. Beautiful Beach. Horrible condo

View was fabulous! Upstairs was hard to cool. Distance to beach was a bit far for two in their seventies. Pool was great. I did not check closely enough to see that bedrooms were up 14 stairs which tried my knees and hubby’s heart.

While I loved the location, and the placed I stayed in general. We did find it run-down, shabby, not very clean, and the handrail to the upstairs balcony was downright dangerous. There was also no remote for the upstairs television, which was annoying. Bryant Real Estate was very good to work with, but we will be giving Bob's Place a pass for the future.

Beach vacation
We really enjoyed a Family vacation at the Condo at Kure Beach. A few things could be updated as well as having a more user friendly TV service. Overall we give the property a B in rating I’d say we would utilize again if we decide to vacation again at Kure Beach.

Much Needed Get Away
Although a little dated, it suited us perfectly! Our only suggestion is newer mattresses in twin bedroom. The view was fabulous day and night... the stars were beautiful! Kitchen stocked well. Very comfortable place! Love Carolina Beach and Kure beach!!!! Thanks for sharing!

My experiences with other bookings were beyond great so when we experienced Bob’s place, with having so few kitchen appliances and extras, it was a let down....The internet was out the whole week, the TV was out Friday when we arrived until Wednesday. Spectrum did not show or call to cancel their appointment....the beach was closed due to some weird tide and erosion. I called the insurance company to see if there could be any reimbursement on some of the week and he was very RUDE. Whoever cleans for the condo, does not do a good job. The runners for the sliding doors are filthy and there were some hairs in the dishes. I don’t think any of this is Bobs fault, as he lives out of town but someone needs to do a better job. The Maintenance guy from Bryant reality is a great person and did what he could to get the tv working but there was only so much he could do. I’m normally not a complainer but this was a bad choice!

Stayed here for a 3 day conference in Wilmington and then for a weekend getaway. Great location, peaceful, and relaxing!

This property has such an amazing view of the beach and ocean. However the property is really outdated And the bed was not comfortable. But for a view like that I won't complain much.

Location is perfect
I’ve stayed in the resort many times over the last 20 years. The location is perfect. This condo needs updates and maintenance. The blinds in the master are broken so that to use them you have to spend nearly 1/2 hour hanging them back up or you have no privacy. Simple curtains like downstairs are inexpensive and would be a much appreciated improvement.
I paid a lot for the cleaning fees and do not feel that it was used for that purpose.
The carpet is old, worn through on the steps, stained and outdated.
The location being directly ocean front is the only reason I would consider this unit again and only if there are no others available as was the case this time.

Disappointed @ 1004 Pelican Court
Property has not been updated in decades....maybe not since being constructed.
Stove was a disaster: large burner inoperable, oven knobs broken-off making knowing what the temp was impossible. All appliances were old and many functioned poorly.
Keyless entry failed twice. Decking everywhere had protruding nails and splinters....dangerous.
Limited cooking implements and every piece of flatware, glassware and silverware needed to be washed...although put-up as if clean.
Only two grills for a large number of condos- can’t imagine how this works at high season.

The location is amazing being right on the beach but the balcony was the best part of the whole place. We all took off our shoes once we got in the house and within 10 minutes our feet were black. The carpet almost felt sticky. Unfortunately that was enough for it to feel dirty in there. We could not get the tv to work for it asked for an access code which I had never seen before. The rental company did email me back but by that time we were leaving. I would not stay at this rental ever again.

Great Getaway Location
We enjoyed staying at this beachfront property. It has great views of the beach and surf and ready access to them. It is also well-equipped inside and has beach toys for use as well. Check in and out were quick and easy. Nice location not in the busy part of town makes it easier to enjoy the view. Rec center was also nice.

Great location, horrible accomodations
The location and view were superb. All beds were horrible. We went out and bought an air mattress just to sleep. The queen was so lumpy they put a piece of foam on it, which was so soft you couldn't lay on it. The two twins were so old and lumpy that you couldn't sleep on them either. Wallpaper was torn and peeling off wall, sliding balcony door in bedroom did not work properly, blinds were broken, carpet was dirty. Basically this condo was done in 1980 and nothing has been updated since. I have stayed a lot of places in my 64 years, but this was by far the worst ever. The only good thing was the view of the ocean and the location. Oh yeah, the first night we killed a huge roach in the living room!

No Frills
Location is great, right on the beach! Bedrooms in dire need of ceiling fans, needs new paint, and wall hangings need replaced. No frills, but has all that you need. Nice parking for 2 vehicles.

Overall had a great covid experience! Beautiful views with a perfect location,the beach was wide and visited our favorite places! Rental was outdated, not cleaned and needed repairs. Would choose different condo. Carpet was not swept: piles of sand, crumbs and random debris all over. Stains on furniture. Downstairs half bath: Blinds were broke/bent, wallpaper peeling off walls and no towel rack. Kitchen had old but good working appliances. Master bedroom: washer/dryer accordion door cracked and off track at times, very old. Water damage and cracks in every corner of walls and tall lamp shade very dirty with stains. Upstairs bathrooms: stains and dirty marks on sink cabinets and rugs. We called to make sure our condo had in fact been cleaned before arrival and were told someone would be back out to clean, however no one showed and we had to clean ourselves.

The property was better than advertised. There were a few small issues, but maintenance was quick to arrive and fix them. COVID restrictions were a bit of a nuisance for check in, but understandable. The door codes need to be reset for daylight savings time. I had to get another code for entry upon arrival because my keyless code wouldn't work until 5pm.

Great location on the quiet end of the beach. The condo is a bit dated and could use some refreshing, but the location and ocean views can't be beat at this price point! Terrible experience!
Heat pump quit evening of first night! Feet got black from walking barefoot on carpet floors, said couldn't move us to a different unit even though others was available online! Storm door rod was bent, had to lift up to latch. Screen door jams trying to shut on lower floor, no screen door at all on upper bed room balcony and had to leave door open where heat pump quit! Linens not provided for the stay for 2 nights, son and girlfriend and daughter left after the first night and rented a nicer 1 bedroom condo beach front for alot less per night! Staff was very nice but not helpful! Probably wouldn't ever stay with this Home Away again!!!! We paid way over what other places charges after adding in in linens for the 2 nights and made our attendance to our niece's wedding miserable because of our accommodations!!!
