Right by the train station, handy for Betwys y Coed
Visited in a bout of cold weather, and wish I'd taken slippers for the tiled kitchen floor!

Lovely location, easy to find as am from the area originally. Great for walks and rides. Cottage was nice and clean and everything we needed was there.
Very warm, didn't want to turn the heating off as note said don't touch it

It was just perfect, quaint, historical and Welsh !!!!
no complaints at all
4.5
Lovely secluded location, all the facilities we needed. Lovely large sitting room, larger than it looks on the photos. The oven wasn't working & they got it replaced within the week that we were staying.
All very minor: there's no bath but we knew that before our stay. It would be helpful to supply 1 or 2 Pyrex bowls for cooking & reheating food in the microwave (but we managed with what we had).

Well situated to explore Snowdonia and the Castles of North Wales - by car and on foot, or mountain railway if you wanted to. But if the weather didn't allow or you just want to laze, the cottage is cosy and well equipped and you can just stay there and relax.
It is a small cottage so a bit cramped upstairs if you need space to leave things. We never quite mastered the oven as it didn't seem to preheat except on the fan grill setting.

Good location and well equipped with everything we could want.
Nothing that I can think of.

Very comfortable cottage, super quiet. Right in the heart of Snowdonia so nowhere is too far.

We had a wonderful stay at Ty Capel Isa. The cottage is very comfortable and beautifully decorated and furnished. The cake and toiletries were a lovely touch. Very nice private garden at the back along with off road parking. Dolwyddelan is a gorgeous village in a stunning location. So many walks on your doorstep; we barely took the car out. Betws y coed is a short drive away and has lots of lovely shops and eateries.
There is nothing we would change.

brilliant location, tucked away on the edge of a small village in the centre of the north end of the national park, very quiet, even over a busy bank holiday weekend. All the big peaks are within a short drive. Local spar has essential supplies, enough to put a decent meal together. Nearby Betws-y-coed has various pubs and restaurants to choose from.
Owners are in the converted chapel next door, offered a very friendly welcome but were never intrusive or overbearing, and left us to enjoy our stay.
Cottage is old and cosy and full of character, but also has modern upgrades with good Wi-Fi, a modern flat screen TV with HDMI for laptop/fire stick (although we loved the nostalgia of an old VHS plugged in and a selection of tapes to wind back the years with) kitchen and shower room are also good with everything you are likely to need.
The kitchen is in an extension with quite a low sloping ceiling and an even lower doorway for access, but at 6’2” I managed ok.

Location, comfortable lounge
Nothing was unlikeable. Only one small comment, need a separate clothes airer rather than line in back room. Very difficult to dry clothing in an unheated back room when weather wet.

The property is in a central location about a 10 minute drive from the Snowdonia National Park. If you’re after a tranquil village location and have a car you can be in surrounding areas very quickly. the property itself was very clean and tidy and I can’t fault one thing.

House was lovely, run by people who put a lot of effort into making it cosy and like a home away from home.
Cake on arrival, Full of leaflets to help plan your stay.
The area is beautiful- an escape from the city.
Clean and decorated beautifully. Safe and quiet.
I didn’t want to leave and would return in a heartbeat!
A soft mattress topper would make the beds a little comfier but I’m being picky and could be personal preference.

The property is well away from the main road running through the village, so there was no traffic noise at all. Even though it's close to the railway, there are so few trains (and none at night) that they went unnoticed. The cottage was well-appointed, clean and very comfortable. It is a beautiful base for walking and there are several lovely walks from the doorstep. The hosts met us on arrival and they were helpful and friendly. Our damages deposit was refunded very promptly.
The local pub was a disappointment.

This was such a stunning, roomy and wholesome stay. It was spotless and smelt wonderful. A gorgeous and very tasty homemade cake awaited us in the kitchen. Bed was extremely comfortable and decor/furnishings were lovely. A fully equipped kitchen- absolutely everything we could ever need. Great WiFi and fantastic welcoming host.
Would definitely stay again without hesitation.

The location was great, and the hosts friendly and helpful. The cottage was very comfortable - we stayed in winter and it was very cosy. There was a lovely cake and a couple of other treats waiting for us, which was also a really nice touch.
There was nothing we didn't like.
