The location of the hotel is very good, some 5 minutes walk and you are near some very good restaurants and a few minutes' walk further and you are in the centre near the cathedral, shops and other restaurants. The breakfast selection is good and plentiful. We had a large room on the third floor with views onto the street.

The windows in the room are large and heavy - however when you opened the windows, there was no method of securing them open and leaving them ajar; they just swung open. This meant that you could clearly see into the properties across the road and they could see you. It would have been helpful to have been provided with a little "wedge" to hold the window open in the position you wanted.

Initial impression was not good but stepping inside it was easy to see that the property had received a heavy investment which succeeded in creating a good ambience. The room was of modest dimensions but designed with efficiency in mind. All in all a good hotel in which to stay for a few days. Easy walk into the old town where there were plenty of restaurants and cafes.

Although car park was part of property, it wasn't very spacious and manoeuvring was tight. The facade of the hotel could do with a facelift.

The size and cleanliness of the room and ensuite. It was within very close walking distance to the city centre and cathedral. Breakfast simple but adequate.

Cramped parking facilities where adjacent cars could damage other vehicles.

Really lovely owners and staff who were very helpful and welcoming. Relaxed style and lovely garden.

Far better than I expected! Have had variable experience of Best western but this is probably one of the best I've been to Staff were so friendly and room was just right. Very comfortable and well equipped with great bathroom Hotel right in centre of a beautiful town so easy access (within 5 minutes walk to cathedral) - as it is down a side street, we heard no noise at any time Great breakfast with good choice Excellent parking - safe for motorcycle (and free!!)

This property is in transition. the outside of the building is in need of a good power washing. But this is a minor issue.

Car Park area a little small to manoeuvrer the car in when it is full, but an advantage to be able to park on site nevertheless.

Do not be put off by the facade of this hotel, inside it was modern chic. I would say every detail was catered for and position was great for restaurants etc. We would definitely stay again The patron was extremely accommodating and professional.
