Very good decorative condition
Smallest room I have ever stayed in. Tiny shower in bathroom, no bath. Nowhere to sit in small bar at one end of crowded restaurant. Very expensive for what you get. Restaurant staff seemed harassed. Breakfast only reasonable. Room overlooked a closed down Pontins holiday camp (£200 extra for a sea view - with little to see).

We have been before 2 years ago and it is still a lovely hotel in a beautiful quiet part of town
It's a little bit expensive , but these days you have to pay for nice things

Beautiful location, lovely staff, very clean.
Unfortunatley pool was out of action due to refurbishment. This was not reflected in price at time of booking as work was expected to be completed by time of arrival. We were mailed beforehand about this, however we felt they could have reduced price to reflect same. They only offered us option to cancel. The hotel said pool was only ‘complimentary’, however they know this is a large reason people book here over other places and advertise heavily about swimming pool etc. Having stayed many times there we were happy to maintain the booking , however some sort of jesture or small token to reflect same would have been nice as it was not projected at time of booking.

Hotel is in a great location, almost on the beach. Although rear of hotel overlooks a disused old Pontins camp, but you can see mountains in the distance. Our room, 'mountain view', was spacious, nicely decorated and very clean, bathroom obviously recently refurbished, modern and, again, very clean. Everything you would expect, TV, kettle, tea, coffee, milk, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, etc.
There's no nightlife or shops, amusements etc nearby. You can walk for miles along the prom.
We went for dinner, it's quite expensive, wife wasn't impressed with the white wine by the glass, decent selection of beers, mostly lagers and IPAs. Restaurant nice place, clean, view of the sea, outside terrace when hot enough. Lovely staff, excellent service and very well cooked food. Unimaginative choice for veggies and vegans, only three items.
Breakfast was in a different room, not as nice, no views, but clean, very busy but staff were great, quick service and the range of cereals, juices etc was great, the hot food - full Welsh for me, veggie for Mrs - was great, the bread for toast was lovely. No complaints.
We used the pool twice. Changing rooms are being done up so no showers, but we showered in our room. Pool clean and warm only 1.2m all over, so no diving. Water warm enough.
Free car parking.
We stayed only one night, could have done with two, but unless you have a special interest I'm not sure you would stay longer.
There was a strange thing with water, sounded like a cistern filling up several times a day and night, the sound was audible in the bedroom but appeared to be coming from the bathroom. Perhaps it was from the room above but the noise travelling down a void?
We asked two different staff for a late checkout and both said it would OK, but the cleaners knocked on at the normal check-out time, then reception phoned to tell us we were late checking out. When we spoke to them they seemed to accept the fault of not noting it was theirs but didn't apologise. So, if you ask for a late check out - triple check it.

We got an upgrade to a sea view room with a bath for £20- we had walked there from Offa’s Dyke so this was very welcome.
The pool and spa were closed for maintenance.

The location is definitely the best bit about this hotel.
We thought service was really slow in the restaurant - the food was ok but nothing special , the steak £30 looked unappealing, the burger I had was nice but for £16.50 it wasn't worth it
They had contacted us after we booked to inform us the pool would be shut , but we had chosen the dates for a reason and that in itself wasn't a deal-breaker at the time but still charged £149 for the room.
The room noise was horrendous , hardly slept a wink and when we did it was just because we had to , not because the noise subsided, the room was first floor at the back and there was no respite from the sound of a generator? We couldn't open or shut anything to stop this noise - it was like being in a noisy fridge all night - horrible - I think it came from the pool below -
The next morning we were absolutely shattered,, and fuming at the same time -
Quickly ate some breakfast which was fine and went to check out - I was going to let reception know how bad that room was but there was nobody around .
Would we go back ? The answer is no , why ? Because they must know the racket in that room and still rented it to us - I do not appreciate that.

it was close to the beach
the property itself was run down, the facilities were poor and the staff were horrible towards myself and gave me attitude and looked at me as though I was dirt on the bottom of their shoes. I asked for room service paid the charge for my breakfast as I did not feel comfortable in the breakfast area due to the amount of dirty looks I got from the staff. anyways my breakfast arrived 40 mins late and I opened the door to a lady who shoved my food infront of me and tutted and walked off.

Comfortable. Decent value.
Quite dated decor. Parking has height restriction of 2.1m but alternative parking can be provided in the staff car park for taller vehicles via prior arrangement.

Not much going on in Prestatyn. Hotel had lovely view of the beach. There wasn't much in the surrounding area especially for families. Not fault of the hotel though. Beds very comfy, food and drinks good. Service in bar area slow.
Breakfast was OK and that's about it. No cold buffet or pastries on offer, only cereal and fruit juice. This is poor in comparison to other hotels. Cooked breakfast tasty, but very small portions, 1 rasher of bacon, 1 sausage, 1 small hash brown etc very disappointing.

- Beachfront Location
- Seaview room
- Spacious family room for 4 adults (Quadruple room - 1 double bed and 2 twin beds)
- Had 2 bathrooms
- Breakfast was good with a variety of choice
- Check in and check out was easy
- Great place to stay for a few nights break
- We didn't arrive by train however the train station isn't that far a walk probably 20-30 minutes depending on how fast you walk
- Local taxis are quick and accessible to use
- Some of the staff weren't very chatty. The only member of staff that had a chat with us was the bar man on the last evening we were there
- If you want places to eat aside from the hotel bistro it's like the train station you either need to drive out or walk 20-30 minutes. There's nothing really local within 5-10 minutes walk aside from the beach hut up the beach

We have stayed there before and always found the staff friendly and helpful. Booking late we had a smaller room this time but still comfortable and adequate for a few nights. Very comfortable bed, which is important for me.
Sadly the lift was out of action this time but the delay of a couple of days in repair was down to the lift service people. The hotel staff were very apologetic and helpful with luggage for example.

Seafront location
Bar/meal prices, dead flies in hallways, leisure/pool facilities poor, only 5 beds around the pool and steam room wasn't working.

Breakfast was decent, a wide variety of choice. The Bed was comfy.
The hotel was rather tired and in desperate need of a deep clean . The carpets in the corridors were visibly dirty. We attempted to go in the spa on the Saturday morning as we were told it was closing that evening for maintenance, unfortunately the sauna was off and the pool was cold.
The bed was comfy but we were woken up by the sound of the occupants above flushing their toilet, it was super noisy. The bathroom stunk of an odd damp smell and the glass shelves and sink were dirty with stains on them.

The room was nice and cosy bed very comfortable best sleep I’ve had for a long time. Didn’t need heating on in the room as it was warm enough, actually slept on top of the bed

We booked a room for three adults, my daughter having learning difficulties so not able to have her own room. We were very pleased to find we were given adjoining rooms that had two bathrooms and great views.
Not enough sofas and lounging area to relax around the bar.

Breakfast was lovely, the choice was varied and the portions very good. I had breakfast twice and I was not disappointed.
The service was first class. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Tables were cleared really quickly and you were served quickly too.
Dinner - I had a meal once in the restaurant and this was lovely too. The girl who served me was very friendly and spared the time to have a bit of a chat with me. Another lady asked if everything was ok too.
Room - Bathroom lovely, the view was ok.
Room - (not saying I didn't like the whole room). The room was ok, bathroom lovely, the view was ok, the only let down was that the floor had not been hoovered properly (bits of food and nail clipping)

The beach front, restaurant & bar
Not enough staff, some staff not overly friendly. Didn’t seem to be any Manager there all weekend
