A Gracious, homestead with amazing staff, set in beautiful gardens. After a long day on the road from Cape Town, I was warmly welcomed and shown to my cosy, well decorated room with all the amenities needed to relax.

Wow - was für eine tolle Anlage! Das Hotel hat einen tollen Kolonialstil, einen wunderschönen Garten und ist sehr sauber und gepflegt.
Besonders hervorzuheben sind die zuvorkommenden und netten Mitarbeiter - wir haben lange nicht so freundliche Menschen erlebt.
Das Essen war unfassbar lecker - vor allem im hauseigenen Restaurant.
Ganz besonders haben wir uns über die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten gefreut, welche jeden Abend nach Rückkehr im Zimmer auf uns gewartet haben.
Unser Zimmer war leider direkt gegenüber des Restaurants, sodass es vor allem morgens, wenn schon einige Gäste gefrühstückt haben, etwas lauter wurde. Es war außerdem ein wenig eng, da zwei sehr große Sessel direkt im Zimmer standen.
Dies machte dem tollen Aufenthalt jedoch keinen Abbruch.

Everything was perfect. The room, the stuff, the environment, the food, the hospitality, the treats. Such a beautiful, elegant and wellcoming place. By far the best hotel I've ever been. Highly recommended! The best value for money!

Incredible resort. Not far from Plettenberg Bay we found ourselves immersed in a world away from the city. A parenthesis of serenity and peace.
Welcomed very well by the super friendly and knowledgeable staff, we felt pampered and loved right from the start. Very spacious and cozy room with everything you need to relax.
Upon arrival a good bottle of white wine to welcome us as well as a handwritten letter from the staff. In the evening while you are at dinner they come by to rearrange your bed, leave a treat and a hot water boulle to warm your feet with. As well as the classic good night note.
We tried two of the three restaurants definitely good and with several focused choices. Interesting wine list with many South African choices of course.

Just wow. Everything about this hotel was spot on. From the moment Clare checked us in we knew we were in for a special stay. Make sure you explore all of the grounds on foot. And not just visiting Zinzi and Tsala, there are many secrets corners where you will find the outright beautiful!

I wondered why I was disappointed when shown our room. On return home I reviewed booking.com website and found that the main photo of a twin/double room is wrong and very misleading. Of course the text is acccurate as regards the room size but I booked the room on the basis of the main photo (my mistake) and did not look at the 2nd photo or ask myself whether that really was 269 sq ft. If I had known I would have opted for the double room.

Exceptional stay, beautiful facilities and gardens, good food, frinedly staff.
Room was a bit small at the rate charged. It was advertised as having a bath, but only had a shower.

This is without doubt the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The attention to detail and level of service is exceptional. I stayed on the way out to the eastern cape and was so impressed that I booked another two nights on the return journey. I was given an upgraded room as a loyal customer. They even washed my car!

We had a wonderful stay at Hunter’s. It is a peaceful, idyllic location, super close to Plett, but like a different world. I’d hugely recommend it to anyone visiting the garden route.
