Location central. Staff were lovely. Nice food

Room was very small. Tiny bathroom. Shower was clogged. Lots of cobwebs. In need of updating. Storage was poor. Lighting poor. A lot of interference on TV. Very central location which made stay just passable. Over priced. Staff were very nice. Good food at The Crown.

Great place to use for visiting Elan Valley. Friendly staff and clean room. I had a room over the bar and you could hear the conversations but this didn't bother me as I was out during the day and evening and as it was a bank holiday was quiet by 2230hrs.

The floors were uneven and the bathroom slopes a bit. Not a major issue but as I had some mobility issues I had to take extra care. I would still stay again.

Friendly atmosphere, excellent facilities and super food all at very good price. They even found room to squeeze my bike in the garden area! The meal I had at the pub was fantastic!

It's a pub and in the town centre so you get all the convenience and the atmosphere so dont expect it so be super quiet but perfect for what I needed

- reasonable room, though small, good value. - excellent dinner, though expensive. - choice of 3 real ales, albeit all rather similar. - off-street parking for motorcycles

- locals fussed over and made very welcome at dinner. Visitors not so much. - no breakfast available - guests pointed to nearby cafe. - WiFi didn't work in either bar or room. Apparently several folks had complained about it. - single-glazed rooms - likely to be cold when temperatures drop.

The hotel is really well located, staff were wonderful, friendly and super helpful and the food was excellent.

To be expected really, but it is not a place for light sleepers! There are pub noises, old building noises and road noise to contend with.

The Crown gave a very warm welcome, friendly staff, cosy surroundings. The food was excellent with great presentation. Accommodation was just a few steps away. It had everything you needed, bijou but spotlessly clean, comfortable with all you needed...

the area was quite and room well priced

firstly when we arrived the property was closed, luckily I remembered that the same company have another restaurant so walked there to be told that there was no open reception that day and we had to check in at this other hotel for our keys, this would of been ok if we had acryltually been informed prior to our visit, instead I was asked via email by the crown inn if I would like to book for an evening meal to which I said 6pm and then never received a reply to find out upon arrival that the restaurant was also closed that evening, the walk to the room was actually quite dangerous there was zero lighting down the side of the old buildings and out into the back followed by a very dimly lit steep flight of wooden stairs, my wife of extremely poorly so this wasn’t easy to access with the dark conditions, the site also states breakfast can be purchased however they do not tell you that you have to walk to yet another hotel to be able to get breakfast

the rooms were reasonably sized however you could hear everything in next room as walls seem very this the bed was comfy and the fod was very good

wifi password not in room so had to try find it in pub across road

Not warned of no parking on site or that bedrooms were up a steep flight of stairs. Although not disabled, I have some mobility issues and parking the car away from the site was inconvenient. You normally assume a pub has a car park. There appeared to be only 2 members of staff who were very busy running Sunday lunch. No table to spare and so we were greeted very briefly and then left to our own devices not really knowing what to do. Bedroom was just adequate but acknowledge that the rate was low therefore value for what we paid.

Absolutely fantastic staff, especially karen who made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived, helping us to park our bikes up safely for the weekend.Food was so good we didn't eat anywhere else all weekend. Cant fault this lovely place. We will be booking again xxx

An old working pub with plenty of historical festures. Comfy bed. Tasty pub grub. Friendly staff.

Bathroom needed updating and a deep clean. Electrical noise/fumes from kitchen, late at night.
