Le chalet Cardinal est un chalet confortable, spacieux, 2 chambres, 1 salle de bain situé dans un petit développement établi. Notre maison d'hôtes est à seulement 10 minutes du centre-ville de Hendersonville et de l'aéroport d'Asheville. Le chalet est situé 1/4 mile d'une route principale à deux voies. Notre route privée pavée et pavée accueille seulement 9 maisons. Le chalet est situé sur notre propriété et à travers des bois denses dans un cadre privé.
Le Cardinal est niché dans une forêt de pins et de chênes matures. Le terrain entourant le Cardinal est de niveau et il y a seulement trois étapes de l'allée dans le chalet. Le chalet est entouré de vastes étendues boisées, créant un cadre très relaxant et privé. L'emplacement est parfait pour toutes vos aventures touristiques ou se détendre sur le porche. Le chalet est proche de Hendersonville et Mills River, mais une retraite tout à fait propre.
Le Cardinal est joliment décoré et dispose d'une cuisine entièrement équipée et approvisionnée. Un grand porche filtré est accessible par des portes françaises doubles du salon. Profitez de détente sur le porche tandis que les écureuils blancs scamper et les oiseaux se posent sur les mangeoires. Un troupeau occasionnel de dindes ou un cerf pourrait errer par. Le porche dispose d'une balançoire en bois à l'ancienne, une table à manger pour 4 personnes et 2 chaises de lecture confortables. Le salon est spacieux avec des meubles confortables et une table de jeu pour les cartes ou le travail d'ordinateur. Il y a 2 télévisions Smart HD. Celui dans le salon est 4K. L'autre est dans la chambre à deux lits. Une chambre a un lit double et la deuxième chambre a deux lits jumeaux. Les jumeaux peuvent être convertis en un roi pour les séjours de 3 semaines ou plus. Les deux ont de grandes commodes et un placard double profondeur. La salle de bain offre une commode hauteur confort, 2 barres d'appui et une baguette de douche à main.
Un système d'air et de chauffage central à haut rendement vous permet de rester à l'aise tout au long de l'année. Une laveuse-sécheuse est située dans le garage qui est également chauffée et climatisée.
Une jolie route pavée bordée de pierres vous mène à travers les bois jusqu'au chalet. La cour est ensoleillée et plate pour que vous puissiez faire une partie de boccia ou lancer un frisbee. Un grand barbecue à gaz et ustensiles de cuisson sont disponibles pour les barbecues.

We had a fabulous weekend and the hosts are extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area! Their home is so cozy and private and we enjoyed being on the porch bird watching! We will definitely be back!

Clean and cozy, surrounded by nature but close to all the great shops and restaurants in the area.
Everything is there that you need for a comfortable stay, from cooking to sleeping.
Hosts took care of us and made the stay special, it felt like we were hosted by family.

Host’s Lonnie & David are generous and kind. They checked in with me to see if I had everything I needed. Their dining suggestions were helpful. Plus they left me juicy peaches at the front door. I recommend their cottage for your next stay in the area.

I do not believe I can put into words the time we have had at Cardinal Cottage.
Everything was perfect!
We love birds and had no idea we would spend a week in a bird sanctuary, as we call it, just sitting on the porch. We figured there wasn’t 30 seconds that went by without a bird in the birdfeeder. We learned many different types of birds and their songs. We hated leaving Rufus-He was a Rufus sided Towee.
There was everything that we needed to enjoy our stay
~ Lonnie was the perfect host and made sure that our stay was complete-lovely people!
~ We cooked a few meals and had everything we needed
~ Lonnie even put in the refrigerator, some local fresh peaches, and green peas from the garden
~ Everything was very clean. My white socks didn’t even get dirty.
~ The landscaping, bushes, flowers and everything around us was so beautiful
~ they suggested places to eat and places to visit Which helped immensely!
We enjoyed the area tremendously! We hope to be back soon!

I can’t even put into words how perfect this little cc cottage was, had everything we needed, very cozy and felt like you were far away from the hustle and bustle yet we were close to be able to shop.
Our Host Lonnie was so kind and very helpful letting us know if we needed anything.
I know when we go back to Hendersonville if this place is available this will be where we’re staying.

This was our third time staying at this lovely, cozy cottage. We enjoyed it immensely once again. The hosts are so very kind and always quick to answer any questions. The cottage is clean and location is great - tucked away just a few miles from downtown Hendersonville. We’ll be back!

Our stay at the Cardinal Cottage was very enjoyable
and relaxing; just what we were looking for when we decided to visit from Florida for a short week. Lonnie was very responsive before and during our stay. She provided a detailed introduction to the house and property and offered us recommendations to local attractions. We are already talking about returning next year to the Hendersonville area and if we do, we will stay at the Cardinal Cottage.

Great stay, watching birds were great for there were so many that was not in out part of the world. Saw Pilates Woodpecker.
Best part of stay was enjoying the screened in porch. Great location for traveling part of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

After many trips to the mountains, we've come to love the Hendersonville/Mills River area. We chose this property because of its proximity to both.
Lonnie greeted us when we arrived and gave us a thorough tour. She may be the kindest person you'll ever meet. The kitchen is fully stocked, the beds are very comfortable, and that porch...oh my! We watched birds at breakfast and lunch on the porch and finished our nights there relaxing in the cool mountain air.
We visit the mountains regularly and I would absolutely rent this property again. It's secluded and cozy...a perfect little cottage.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Cardinal Cottage. Lonnie met us when we arrived and gave us a thorough intro to the house and advice for the area. The cottage is charming, clean, and super comfortable. We felt at home instantly. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. I learned some new birds - watching them at the feeders and in the trees.

The cottage is well located to visit the area attractions and only about 5 miles from downtown Hendersonville.
The cottage is clean , private and very well equipped .
The owners are available and helpful in answering all your questions.
So many birds came to the feeders. We saw at least 3 white squirrels and 3 deer grazing in an open area. We were happy we booked the cottage. Will definitely return.

This is a charming cottage in a great location, easy access to Hendersonville and Asheville and surrounding areas. The cottage is private and in a beautiful setting, with everything you need for a few days, a week or even longer. The beds are extremely comfortable and all the linens and towels are luxurious. The owners are wonderful, quick to answer any questions and to offer great suggestions on places to go or eat in the area.

Cardinal Cottage is a quaint cozy cottage well equipped and nestled in wooded surroundings. It is truly a peaceful place to rest and relax. The owner was very friendly and it was a pleasure to meet her. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

Spring Adventure
Our second stay at the Cardinal Cottage was just as lovely as the first. Our hosts were super helpful with any and all needs, as well as being kind, wonderful people. We loved the peace and quiet of the area, and the convenience to Asheville, Hendersonville, and Pisgah National Forest. So much beauty everywhere this time of the year! We didn't want to leave!

This was the second time we’ve stayed at the Cardinal Cabin and it was just as we remembered it. We have stayed both times in February, and the cabin was warm and inviting both times. The bird feeder gets lots of birds that are fun to see and the location is out in the woods but still close to things to do in the area. One day, we hope to stay when it is warm enough to use the lovely screened in porch!
