No food is provided but kitchen was fully equipped so had typically home cooked food all 3 meals.Location of our cottage wasn't facing the Canal.

Better location especially sitting room should face the Canal.Better to have nets on windows to ward off insects etc. Also some first aid box required for accidental knife cuts & bruises .

The location was good to reach but full of mosquitoes but I think its because of the backwaters. The hosts were friendly and happliy helped us with things.

The price respective to the services provided was not optimal.

.It is a beautiful place where you can relax and spend a couple of days without the hustle and bustle of the big cities like Amsterdam. It's calm and peaceful atmosphere with it's warm and friendly natives made the stay all the more pleasant. The accomodation is clean, simple and had basic amenities. The rooms are small; so pack light. We didnt spend a lot of time indoors. They are quite strict with the check in and check out timings. So as long as you can manage that all is good. Also it's a collection of little houses. So depending on what house /villa you are allotted the view could be good or be better..bebb.It.t...... .

I didn't expect a lot but maybe a few more options to eat woukd have been good.

Loved every minute of our stay, very comfortable and clean. Such a relaxing stay with very friendly staff. Can’t wait to return!

A cafe/Restaurant on the premises as nearby restaurants open late and close early.

The location is great, very close to the main canal

The chairs were damaged, a part of the kitchen equipment was missing. the tea bags provided were old and smelled bad. On Booking.com it was mentioned the property does not accept pets, so I have to arrange a dog hotel for my dog but when I arrived there many of the guests had dogs.

there are some strange smell in the bedroom, smell like someone smoked in there previously. could have used some freshener.

The location was very beautiful and in walking distance to all interesting sites. The facilities were enough for a comfortable stay though for laundry, we had to ask the staff to allow us to use the washing machine and dryer at a different cabin. The car park was quite close to the site, just about ten minutes' walk away.

The opening hours of the reception was very short. We went there during low season, and it was closed right after we collected the keys though it was supposed to be still within their official opening hours. Also, there's only one small roll of toilet paper for our two nights' stay. Surely it'd be much better to keep another roll in the cabin just in case?

we’re family of 4 (myself, my wife and two kids) we got Chalet 18 which is a lake view.. amazing view of the lake.. the host was very nice and welcoming.. deposit is 150€ you get it back when checkout if you follow the Chalet rules which are reasonable.. location is right in the center of everything.. Parking available nearby.. kitchen is fully equipped. beds were ok.. the Chalet also offer boats for rent.

although parking is nearby.. if you have luggage then you will be dragging them with you to the reception. maybe not related to the Chalet itself.. but from my experience Giethoorn is not worth an overnight stay.. a one day trip from Amsterdam or another city nearby will be more than enough

Not cleaned well. I saw spider lines . No controll for the heater ( switched off in the middle of our sleep) Pillow and Bed sheets are over consumed. No smart TV

Mr. Michael is very friendly. He explained everything to us at checkin time.
