The location of the hotel
The flies were so many during breakfast, the rooms didn’t match up the cost.

I really appreciated the restaurant and the staff working there.
The AC in my room was not working. I did not sleep correctly for 3 nights.

Great location
Not enough vegan/vegetarian options

pool and beach access
1. Outdated (standard rooms) hotel rooms with box screen TVs (yes the ones from the 80s and 90s)
2. Room had a humidity problem which was within the smell of the room
3. Shower - poorly built - you literally are chasing the water
4. Bathroom - leak from the toilet bowl - didnt stay long enough to want to investigate/care for a repair
5. Internet connection within the rooms could be better
6. Within the Gambia in general - also happened at this hotel - EVERYONE will ask you for money; its inappropriate to ask a guests for money for tea/dinner/whatever….

The setting is like being in a park, beautiful gardens filled with birds and families of monkeys. The beach is fantastic.
The walkways are kept clean and well lit. Lovely!

Nice grounds with many trees and wildlife
Very dated and worn. No comfortable seating available in guest room.

The pool is amazing (there is a separate baby section and also a pool bar!), the staff always friendly and happy. The food at the restaurant, the milkshakes and the buffet breakfast was great. We had A/C in the room which was amazing and the bed was super comfortable. They also supplied a cot (with a proper mattress!!) for our 1-year old.
The only issue was that the WiFi didn't really work on our room (but it was OK once at the pool). Also I would say for the price of the room I thought the room was fairly basic.

Large rooms are modern and very big. Staff caring for rooms are great. the grounds and beach are lovely and lush with so many birds. the beach pool area is relaxing.
The many bars and restaurants seem closed. they need more food options.

The serene environment was great for relaxing. Loved the swimming pool on the beach, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic.
Guests could not get other meals besides breakfast. Also, there was no air conditioning in general areas like the reception and the restaurant.

There are some lovely restaurants within a stone trow on the hotel. Good value for money and 5 stat rated food.
The supposedly double bed, we're two single put together. However, I was move to a proper double bed upon request without any problem

The breakfast staff was pleasant every morning. The property is walking distance fron good restaurants and other happenings.
The property grounds appear well kept, but the rooms are old, worn and dilapidated with "big-back" télévisions, dingy towels, and tons of mosquitoes with no osquito nets in the rooms. The shower is very small. Although located on a beach, the portion directly behind the hotel is not for swimming. You have to take a walk to the small area where you can get in the water. The property is HUGE and I was given a room extremely far in the back. I requested closer accommodations as I am a solo traveler and had early morning excursións. The adjustments were not only a few steps closer (so still far) and much older and smaller than the 1st option. There is no phone in the rooms to call reception, so you have to walk back and forth for items. There is no irons in the rooms. There is no hotel information or guidebook in each room. You are left to figure things out on your own. I do NOT recommend this hotel. If you see a deal, ignore it and keep looking. These accommodations will ruin your stay.

The breakfast was very nice and the grounds of the hotel was also nice.
The front of the room was glass and if you pulled the curtain people can see straight in. I had to use the light during the day. The room wasn't worth no more than £50

Breakfast was excellent.
Swimming pool and staff was excellent.. and
Rooms lack a telephone to call the reception or restaurant though.

The breakfast was excellent with lots of options to choose available.
The hotel has a great location, however there was no room service. Whenever I needed to get in touch with the customer service desk, I had to walk all the way back which is absurd in having a big facility like such. My expectation was that there would have been a gym facility available, however, that was not the case. The cleanup of the place and room was also not done properly. I had to request for the trash and items disposed of to be removed every time after the cleanup is done.

The hotel allowed an early check-in. This is a big resort with many room blocks and very large and well-maintained very beautiful gardens. There are 2 pools, one small and quiet close to the reception and another bigger close to the beach. There is a good section of beach used by the hotel with chairs and umbrellas. You can make good walks along the beach and swim in the sea with a warm water. The breakfast restaurant serves a good breakfast buffet. There is a restaurant by the beach pool and another one by the small pool where I ate a good diner. There is an exchange money counter at reception. The staff is very nice, like the responsible of house-keeping of block J. Wifi is good. In the area around the hotel called Senegambia strip there are a lot of restaurants and bars where you can eat very well, as well as various shops. To the airport by taxi is between 30 and 60 minutes depending of the traffic.

I have stayed here several times before but I'm not so certain I will return
Unfortunately I had three separate male members of staff (Not the waiters they were absolutely brilliant ) Coming my room uninvited and were extremely persistent despite my polite refusals... being the only room on my level they had absolutely no reason to go there. this unwanted attention spoilt my holiday.
