A lovely location just what I was looking for. Far enough away from the noise of the bars and restaurants but close enough to enjoy when I wanted. The view from the ocean facing room which upgraded to was so peaceful and the hammock was a super relaxing touch. Kenya and Manfred the hosts were wonderful kind people that went out their way to make my stay just what I wanted. Organized a hike to the Peak for me and a snorkeling trip too. I’d definitely recommend and go back if I could!
Nothing really. Some suggestions would be a line to hang wet towels etc as they blow off the balcony and a closet to hang clothes in the room as there was only a chest of drawers. Oh and I would use “ Nike” for the snorkeling again as he was great but wouldn’t recommend the hiking guide Eusebio as he didn’t give much info about the birds or vegetation in the park.

our stay at this place was amazing. we loved everything about it. family is very friendly. location is remote, which is great for quiet and relaxing time. no motos allowed on the island and beautiful walk down the water and over the bridge to town. loft was very spacious and clean. daily, good cleaning. nicely appointed kitchen.
- Free kayaks to take around the island
- Mask and snorkel to rent down the road
- Ask for fresh fish to cook
- Take the boat ride around the main island with Manfred. bring snorkel gear.
- So much more to do or do like we did and just go sloooooow. recommend at least 2 weeks to fully unwind and enjoy.
we loved everything about this place. do not expect fast Internet anywhere on a remote island , but if you need good Internet, then you can get a Sim card with lots of data for 30,000 pesos (about 8 USD) in town.

Kenya and Manfred we’re perfect hosts! They made arrangements to have us greeted at the airport and be transported directly to our beautiful Seaview apartment , as well as making arrangements for a scooter. Manfred provided us with much information about the island and guided us on a beautiful snorkeling expedition. We look forward to a return visit!

The accommodation it’s quiet, spacious and comfortable. Payment could be done by card.
Manfred and Kenia are kind and very willing taking organisational features out of your hands.
The wifi didn’t reach to the room.
A taxi to pick us from the airport was arranged without informing us about the cost.
For our return we arranged our own taxi at half price and unfortunately ended up in a discussion with a second pre-arranged taxi driver.

Manfred was an amazing host. He sorted out all of our activities during our stay and made sure we had a brilliant time. Very clean and comfortable room. An excellent place to stay.

Quiet, clean, comfortable. But the best thing about Shell Sea B&B is the hosts, Manfred and Kenya. They’re so kind and sweet and there to help you organize diving, scooters, snorkeling, hikes, give you dinner recommendations and even boat rides across the bay if they’re heading that way too. This is the best place we stayed in Colombia.

Everything about the stay was amazing! Manfred welcomed me like a friend. Helped me rent a moto, recommended me places to eat, arranged a scuba dive for me, gave me his Kayak to use for free and was willing to provide help at anytime (and transfer with his boat). The location is quiet and peaceful. The room was spacious, clean, with AC, TV and a fridge. 100% recommend it.
I stayed only 2 nights in the island, but I recommend 4-5 to really experience it. As mentioned, there is no wifi, so keep that in mind. Also, not hot water, but you won't need it. And no kitchen or utensils, in case you want to cook.

Bed was a bit hard for me

We loved everything about this charming island but especially the hosts Manfred and Kenia. They are outstanding and made us feel like family. The views are great and the location is perfect and the people are lovely. We felt safe and welcomed.
Thank you so much for everything. We can't wait to come back!
Everything was perfect. We wish we could stay forever.

This place is amazing! It was extremely clean, the breakfast was fantastic, owners are nice, and I loved the location. It's on Santa Catalina Island, which is smaller and connected to the bigger Providencia by a bridge (or boat, which the owners are happy to help with). This is a quieter place, and I think it was probably the prettiest area on the island(s). There's a tiny, quiet beach just 4 minutes walk away, as well as the old fort (which is actually extremely historic, as well as having a beautiful view). Once you've crossed, it's easy to get a taxi, motorcycle taxi, or rent a motorcycle to get anywhere else you want on the island. I would 100% stay here again next time I visit Providencia!
Literally everything about this place was great.

This is an outstanding guesthouse in a superb location for stunning quiet scenery, close to wonderful snorkelling. Best of all however was the lovely owner & her staff helper. We were looked after with care & attention every day of our week-long stay with fantastic varied home cooked breakfasts & practical assistance that exceeded any reasonable guest house standards. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious with comfortable bed & great aircon. Everyone we met on Santa Catalina & the main island of Providencia was friendly & helpful. Currently the pedestrian bridge linking the two is in disrepair (but easily passable with care), so the Island Council provides people with a free lancha (fast launch boat) 3 minute ferry during daylight hours; you just need to phone one of the boatmen when needed! Gorgeous fresh fish is the main staple menu locally, with local fruit juices, or rum if preferred. Wonderful clean beaches, turquoise sea, extremely low key tourist development - just go (but not if you want a party destination!)
No hot water but in the warm climate this was no problem at all.

Clean, comfortable, great food, lovely location. We had a wonderful stay here, and were looked after very well by Kenia. The posada is a 15 min walk from the main town on Providencia, but it is worth staying in the peace and quiet of Santa Catalina. Can also highly recommend Big Mama's for good homecooked food - situated just in front of the posada.
Nothing.
