Lovely place to stay in Sigiriya. The owners are wonderfully welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. They also make an absolutely delicious breakfast!

Zážitkové ubytování na stromě přímo v džungli nad řekou. Hostitelé velice milí a napomocní se vším, co jsme potřebovali. Připravili nám snídani, oběd, večeři. Zařídili nám safari, odvoz svým vlastním tuk tukem na horu Pidurangala. Rozhodně doporučujeme. :-)

Location is amazing. Down by the river and the tree house is made so well out of really nice wood material. A big comfy bed, mosquito net and blankets. The shower was nice and warm and equipped with fresh towels… it was perfect. Both hosts are the nicest people you’ll meet. They made me a delicious breakfast tailored to my dietary needs. They also have a tuktuk so don’t book elsewhere as you shouldn’t need to.

La casa arbol era muy bonita, junto al rio. La cama super comoda y el baño muy limpio. Lo mejor de todo fue el dueño del alojamiento, nos ayudo en todo y recomendó que hacer en cada momento. Totalmente metido en la jungla!

We had such a wonderful stay at Riverside Villa! The location is awesome and if you get the change stay in the treehouse. It’s very cosy and you can hear the little river beneath it. In the morning you wake up with a beautiful view. On top of that the host/family is really amazing and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Thank you so much Chaminda for everything ;-)

Thank you for the great time we had at the Riverside villa. The kids enjoyed to sleep in the treehouse and hear all the jungle noises. We all had fun getting our feet tickled by the fish 🐠🐟, which is really a very special experience. The breakfast was very delicious!! Thank you for helping us organise tuc-tucs and being so kind and helpful. ☺️

Great location in the middle of the jungle, Chaminda and Mali are amazing, they supported us in the organisation of the visit to the Lion Rock, Polonaruwa and Kaudulla National Park. Highly recommended!

I had an incredible stay at Sigirya River side villa! Chaminda and Mali, the owners, are the kindest and most helpful hosts you could ask for. They warmly welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Chaminda's Tuk Tuk ride to sample local cuisine and visit shops in Sigirya was a delightful experience. The cheeky monkeys around, they added a touch of excitement to our adventure, one of them pinched my daughter’s sandwich…hilarious! The property's location is next to a beautiful stream was serene, and we even had the pleasure of spotting a baby monitor lizard one morning during breakfast - truly captivating! The children loved playing outside and going on ‘mini adventures’ They saw three species of lizards, squirrels and could hear beautiful birds and peacocks in the background. The tree house where we stayed with our children was an absolute hit! It was comfortable, two large double beds and shower and toilet. Mali's cooking was a highlight; she amazed us with her culinary skills and surprised us with delicious dishes. Dinner at least once is a must! Sri Lanka has faced hardship in recent years, and supporting their local community by staying here felt even more meaningful. We arrived as guests and left as friends, with cherished memories and gratitude. I highly recommend staying at Sigirya River side villa, an unforgettable experience! oyāṭa stūtiyi! (Thank you!) Wonderful setup right by a river. Lush. Comfy. Great atmosphere. Can walk to town with lovely resraurants. But have the host's wife cook at least once. She does amazing job. And her chocolate with banana pancakes for breakfast, and her fresh juices...delicious! And the host. Wow! What a guy. Super friendly, dedicated to make sure you have a great time. So helpful. Arrangea trips for you to national parks. Lion's rock or wherever. Always checking your needs and wishes. Amazing guy! He made our days so wonderful And the simple but beautiul outside picnic area so amazing when having breakfast. And evenings reading on the small treehouse balcony. Hope to be back some day!

Great location alongside the river. Breakfast by the river is very nice, though no fresh fruits have been given (we didn't ask btw). Staff helpful and available. They arranged our safari for a fair price. Good experience overall

There was a frog in the bathroom, no big deal. Our no-AC room was "upgraded" because the one we booked was not fully functional. However, the owner asked us for 5 dollars to turn on the air conditioning since we didn't book it. Fan provided.

In a class of its own. An exotic, rustic experience in a treehouse overlooking the river with the sounds of rushing water and all the noises of the jungle to keep you company.

To really nitpick, lanterns with natural soft light might create an atmosphere more in tune with the surroundings than the out-of-place colored LED ones.

Sigiriya River Side Villa was one of my favourite stays in Sri Lanka. I was received very warm and pleasant. The room was utmost clean, and was according to my expectation. Breakfast was lovely! But above all it was the warm family and service that I loved!!

Quiet and peaceful place in front of a river you can easily swim in the refresh during the hot hours of the day. Very kind owners always willing to help make the stay better. We highly recommend it.
