Myself & 4 adult kids stayed at this cabin for a relaxing 5 days. It was a great place to stay to just unplug. We attended a concert in Morrison and spent the rest of the time enjoying the wildlife, peace and rest.

After staying on the other side of the valley, we switched to this property for our week and a half because of the availability. WHAT A GREAT SPOT! Faced the opposite way then usual we were blessed with great views from this cabin. The roof line goes to the top of the trees and then when you get up on the top of the Crow's Nest porch you get a full 360 degree look at the valley and mountains. Great place to relax and have a cocktail after a long drive. The owner told us everything we needed and the place was just so. Everything that we needed and more! Great place for jumping off to Red Rocks, Maroon Bells and the Georgetown Train tour that we had planned. Not Aspen or Vail nor Breckenridge but far more peaceful and out of the way! I have long preferered the Bailey area and it's people. I will gladly book my next trip in Colorado here! By the way somebody in the household is a foodie. We will have a cook-off one day!

We loved our stay! It was very private and we could enjoy the hot tub without neighbors. The wildlife was so fun to watch, even while we were in the hot tub they were 10 ft away just chilling. Rich was a great host and was available if we needed anything, but the cabin was well stocked and we didn’t need to bother him. I have told many friends and family that they should go visit and I plan on going back.

This was everything we expected and a great place to unwind and recharge after a long and hot Texas summer. Rich made us aware of every detail necessary to insure we were able to use and enjoy the property as it was intended. Hopefully we can make a return in the future! Thanks!

We really enjoyed this cabin. Loved the kitchen for cooking daily breakfast, very well stocked with all cookware and cutlery. They have a great spice cabinet! We cooked out on the grill and loved being high on top of the mountain for great views! Daily wildlife was a real treat and we absolutely loved the observation deck for sunrise in the morning and star gazing at night. The hot tub was awesome after our wonderful hikes in various mountain ranges we visited. We would come back to this VRBO property, owner Rich was great and communication was always timely when we needed anything. He had some great recommendations for us!

Our family consisted of five adults. We enjoyed the space as there was plenty of room to spread out. We just wanted a place to relax, and this house fit the bill. Plenty of places to curl up with a book or I-pad. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves inside or on the grill, nice selection of spices, plenty of dishware and cookware. Games and cards were a nice touch. The decks are very nice for enjoying the outdoors, each had plenty of seating, and cushions for comfort. Hot tub was clean, and warm.
The only downside is that the near by homes can be noisy (even though out of sight). We heard construction machinery often, and barking dogs everyday. I enjoyed the rooster crowing at the neighbors, but some people may not.
The owner was very friendly, helpful and responsive. Any issues and he was just a text message away.

This place was just great. It was the kids favorite spot on our whole trip to Colorado. We loved being near the forest, enjoyed the view, and loved not being able to hear the highway. It was perfect for us!
The house is well stocked with everything you might need and the owner was very quick to respond and attentive to details.

Rich, the property owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. Truly one of the best trips I’ve ever taken. The property is beyond words, a little piece of Heaven. Still your soul and quiet yourself and you can feel the power of nature. It was a spiritual experience for myself and my friends and can’t be explained in simple words. We have a new friend, an Elk who came to visit, we named Navaeh. Truly spectacular location and host!

We were worried about not having AC (late Aug on a hot day) but the mountain air was mostly chilly and perfect in the afternoon.

We loved our stay at The Cabin in the Blue Sky. The updated 1940's cabin was a good mix of old building and new amenities. We also enjoyed the views that the decks provided. I would recommend it!

A gem in the mountains. A rustic log cabin with unique additions that gives you a 360 degrees view of the surrounding mountains. The cabin is a charming well preserved log interior with all the modern amenities.

Wonderful experience
We were looking around Bailey for a place close to the Deer Creek Valley Ranch wedding venue and this place is less than 15 minutes away. Great location, feels secluded but there’s a Dollar General with everything you need, a gas station and beautiful remote hiking trails all within a 15 minute drive. There’s enough to do down in Bailey to last you a few nights and it’s less than a 2 hr drive from the cabin to the summit of Mt. Evans (closed after Labor Day). The property and the cabin are beautiful and charming. Rich is the kind of guy you want to rent from - he is a welcoming, fantastic host. We spent a week here but could have spent a month and it wouldn’t have been long enough.

Sky Deck Best Part!
The sky deck was a wonderful way to spend the morning with a cup of coffee! The roads to get to the property were a little washed out during our stay, but were still passable. Rich was an excellent host and was very responsive to texts and phone calls. The cleaning crew missed some things between the last guests and our stay, but not too much.
Definitely on the short list for a return stay!

Gorgeous, Relaxing location and Awesome Host
The cabin and the property are absolutely gorgeous. It is equipped with everything you need from warms blankets, laundry, to WIFI, and cookware. The view unfortunately is not fully justified on the photos posted in Vrbo, you have to see for yourself, it's beautiful, peaceful, and calming. Rich is an outstanding host, since the day we confirm our booking he made us feel welcome and by being attentive and providing advice on the road conditions. Rich also provided a few recommendations on local attractions and was always available if you had any questions or comments. If you want to get away with friends and family or enjoy some time off from your daily hectic routine I highly recommend this Cabin you will not regret it. Our family is already planning to return during the holiday season. Thank you Rich you an amazing person!

Cabin is beautiful and truly a great retreat from it all. Plenty to do around it and feels like home. Kitchen was great and having a smoker to use is a huge plus. Add in a wood fire and 2 feet of snow and I don’t think it could be more beautiful.Rich welcomed us to the place and gave us a nice tour/recommendation of what to do. But honestly with the 360 rooftop patio it was hard to want to do anything wlse but sit up there all day and stare at the stars at night. Thank you Rich for allowing us to your place. Hope that we can come back soon.

Beautiful Get Away in the Sky
We had a super relaxing stay at this cozy cabin the sky. The 360 views of the mountains from the roof deck are breathtaking. We cooked all 4 nights of our stay and found the kitchen to be well-stocked with spices and cookware. The rooms were inviting and lent themselves to lazy days. Did an awesome 6 mile hike that was only about 10 minutes from the house. Rich has put a lot of thought into the house and we plan to be back!

Old Time Charm with Modern Updates + Breathtaking Views
The Cabin in the Blue Sky is a delightful combination of rustic charm and modern convenience. The property was originally a simple log cabin perched atop a 9300 ft. peak, surrounded by mountains, the final approach to which is on a dirt road that probably hasn't been improved since the original construction.
The cabin retains much of its original charm, from the interior log walls to the uneven floors. But there are upgrades aplenty, including a fully equipped kitchen, modern HVAC system, deluxe sound system, lots of comfy furniture inside and out, and some new, rock-solid construction.
As comfortable and accommodating as the interior is, it's when you step outside that the cabin really shows its destination worthiness. The views are indeed 360, and they are magnificent. Like us, you may be tempted to take off sightseeing, only to return to the realization that the best views are right here. There are several sitting spots around the cabin, but it's the two decks that are especially noteworthy. Enjoy dinner and the sunset from the huge deck in back. Or climb the stairs to the roof-top deck, an absolutely inspired addition that will take your breath away.
Interested parties should be aware that it's a 15-20 minute drive to the nearest highway. If you're looking for a Rocky Mountain base station and hoping to do a lot of day trips around the area, this might not be the best choice for you. But if you want to pack in some provisions and then kick back and relax in comfort and solitude, I can think of no better place.
Thanks, Rich, for a wonderful experience!

SIMPLY AMAZING!!
The pictures of the property are nothing, compared to ACTUALLY BEING THERE! WOW, we were blown away when we pulled into the driveway, the view is SIMPLY AMAZING! The Cabin is INCREDIBLE, an 80 year old piece of American History, surrounded by the most stunning views! The observation deck, was our favorite spot! We can’t wait to go back! The owner, Rich, is an incredible host, the property is immaculate and we had everything we needed...and then some!
Loved Colorado so much, we may move there! Lol
Thank You, Mr. Corey, for allowing us the privilege of renting your beautiful Cabin in the Blue Sky! What an EVERLASTING memory!
