Sehr schone Location. Wir hatten ein tolles Zimmer mit Blick auf den Ganges. Die Angestellten waren überaus nett und hilfsbereit.

Dank der Rezesionen hier auf der Seite, waren wir was den Manager des Hotels betraf vorgewarnt und auf die Situation eingestellt. Ich kann die Kommentare in den Bewertungen sehr gut nachvollzieren aber wir kamen zum Glück gut zurecht, da wir alle Touren schon im Vorhinein gebucht hatten. Im Haus herrschte eine Eiseskälte. Zum Glück war in unserem Zimmer ein kleiner tragbarer Heizlüfter, der uns über das Schlimmste hinwegbrachte. Das Zimmer war dann etwas warm, das Badezimmer allerdings nicht. Unser Zimmer wurde nicht geputzt, da es mit einem Vorhängeschloß zuzumachen war und es dazu wohl keinen Zweitschlüssel gab. Man bot uns zwar an, das Zimmer zu putzen als wir um 15 Uhr ins Hotel zurückkamen, aber das wollten wir dann auch nicht, sondern ausruhen. Trotz der tollen Lage würden wir dort nicht mehr buchen. Hotel très bien situé. Chambre très grande . Personnel très attentif.

Chambre très bruyante ( chiens, population locale et bruit de machine à laver dès 5 h du matin). Salle de bain très petite (max 2 m2) devrait absolument être rénovée . L'écoulement sous l'évier se détache et donc dès les premières gouttes les pieds sont également mouillés . Des gouttes d'eau tombent continuellement du plafond et humidifient tout .Le rapport qualité prix n'est pas bon du tout.

Beautifully decorated heritage building with all the modern amenities! The narrow streets that the hotel is on give you an authentic Varanasi feeling. It’s a short walk (can be confusing though the first time) from the main road or Dashaswamedh ghat.

The steep stairs, one floor is like 2 floors in the western houses 😀. The high ceilings look awesome though.

Good location, reasonable clean, and unique style. Also, they allowed me early check in and later check out, which is very nice of them!

Instead of Gang view you’ll see a trash bin view with the cows eating from it 😅 Also, my room was too close to the reception, so it was too noisy in the morning

The way gets into the house is small but it’s understandable for its location of facing Ganges river. The food is little more expensive

La guía que tienen en el hotel trató de estafarnos vendiéndonos una excursión que no llegamos a hacer. Los precios de las excursiones/actividades que ofrecen cudriplican los que te ofreceran en la calle. Por suerte nos acabaron devolviendo el dinero del paseo en barca que nunca llegó, pero hubo que enfadarse. El dueño es un señor mayor que regenta el hotel desde hace años, sabe como llevarlo y a salvo el incidente de la guía, se nos dio muy buen trato.

Fanatic location right on the Ganges.

We liked that the view we had in our room (upper floor) had a good view of the Ganges - we didn’t know we didn’t book that already so asked to upgrade when we got there. The room was spacious and comfy. The breakfast was decent, we had omelettes and porridge. The staff were friendly. We had a guy Vinod who helped us a lot to get familiar with the area. He was kind. We also booked a tour with them, it was expensive but Gagan was a great tour guide so it made up for it.

The walk to the property isn’t the best.

Location of the guest house is difficult to reach and almost in a type of slum area.. lot of garbage, cows, cow dungs and dogs on the connecting road.. guest house is not suitable for any couple, family and business trips..

Tries to sell additional activities at the time of check in Doesn't give a bill for the food you order Food is very expensive compared to its worth There is no breakfast spread The staff tries to haggle so you order less. They cut corners and avoid giving you breakfast They mention orange juice but it's actually bottled minute maid pulpy and not any fresh juice The aged owner is very grumpy, you have to do things his way or he'll keep bickering Owner has kept the hotel understaffed. Staff is too stretched and have to work much more than normal because the owner cuts corners to make more money. This results in delayed service. Staff too is angry with the man This is not a heritage hotel it's a heritage home stay. Understand the difference.

Shiva Ganges View is wonderful, authentic haveli in a great location at Mansarovar Ghat. Tandon and his team are friendly, professional, helpful and the food is delicious. The rooms are refurbished. The bathrooms are a little outdated but functional. The views of the river are amazing.

The whole house is a heritage home, everything feels historic. The owner and the staff are very nice, friendly and really helpful. We arrived early and were given a place to rest and have breakfast until our room was ready. The hotel arranged a pick-up and a drop at the train station, both very early but really perfect. The location is great, directly at the ghat.

It would be nice to have some shade on the roof terrace. There is only one aircon in the family room, so even with the door open you can either have a warm room or the you would have to chill the other room really low.

I arrived on day 2 of my reservation for transportation reasons. However I had to wait for my room almost 1 hour, and the bathroom was not clean at all. The staff did not wake up to organize my early taxi to the airport. This is the worst welcome I got in India among the 10 hotels/guesthouses I have visited during my trip (and most of them were cheaper than this one).

Friendly staff. Big rooms. Clean enough. Tasty breakfast. Good enough wifi. 1 minute walk to the Ganges river.

Overpriced tours. Book on Airbnb instead with Avinash or on Viator. Common issue in Varanasi : the narrow streets to get to the guesthouse A/C in the upstairs king room didn't cool enough and the remote did not work.. The bed offered is not a king bed. It is two beds side by side. The boss begged for a good review before we left. Old bathrooms but very functional. ( see pictures)

Beautiful family run place, clean spacious room and amazing view! Located right in front of the main ghats, we spent 3 nights here and felt at home! The owner and all the staff were lovely, always available for any need! We booked the top floor room which is right in front of the rooftop terrace, also the rooms on second floor have river view and are beautiful! They also have a taxi service from/to the airport (for better price than local taxi) and they bring you right to the place through the little street , was perfect for us!

Costly room long distance travel by walk to facility from main drop of car, poor services provided, home &house together of home. Breakfast very bad long awaiting. Owner is very rude behaviours.
