I'm sick and tired of Booking hosts trying to take the mick out of me. It's not ok. It must stop!
Text in Booking description and confirmation email: "This quadruple room includes a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a private bathroom as well as a balcony with mountain views. The unit offers 5 beds."
I'm a victim of fraud! There is NO BALCONY. The only "view" through the dark underground barred window is of the fire escape, a water tank and a wall.
The owner said there is a balcony "elsewhere" in the property. That's like being sold a first class aeroplane ticket and being put in economy class. There is a first class compartment on the aircraft, but you're not in it!! Suck it up!
PS. The bathroom was is a disgusting state!

Spacious rooms, courteous and accommodating staff. The view of Madikeri town from the room was dope too. Excellent value considering the price point. Had a pleasant stay and would love to visit again

The caretaker and food provided was excellent. The balcony sitting overlooking the town is good for a few drinks but you need to be quiet.
The location is easily accessible, in the main town but peaceful part. Ample parking space (street side).
The costlier room with external bathroom was not comfortable for 2. The bed was a single bed. Also, the bathroom was used by some other guests it seems from downstairs. Also, the rooms are very basics but clean enough.

Well located IF you want to stay downtown in Coorg and rent a bike
Staff was nice... But he could not speak english. It was humid and hot the whole day inside. Shower disn't work, I had to wash myself taking water from the tap

Located very close to the center. The house has a terrace, which was the best part. Cleanliness is maintained. The caretaker was helpful. Very nice experience for a budget Homestay.
The rooms are arranged haphazardly, not all rooms have washroom attached. Also, despite booking a Homestay, we were not allowed to use the kitchen.

Location is very convenient near to all tourist attractions and to market. Cauvery silk emporium is right next door, area is super quiet.
Bare minimum type of facility. staff/ Owner is not in your way but certainly not friendly/ courteous might be because of the language barrier. I visited with my family not expecting hotel like treatment but a comfortable stay. We were 4 people stayed for 2 nights in December. They provided us only 1 towel 2nd towel was provided with great reluctance after insisting we will need at least two, only 2 blankets were provided for 4 people and one more was provided after pushing for it. It wasn't made clear that only 1 room will be provided but I hadn't asked for two different rooms, so fair play, however there was only one bathroom/WC a very small one with no privacy curtain. Water in a container is provided and you can get more from the common room if you want. I had booked here as location is very convenient near to all tourist attractions and to market. I was disappointed to find less homestay more dormitory like situation. If you are going to the place thinking kitchen or common room/living room will be easily available to you that's not the case.

Feel at home place. And the care taker is a wonderful host. Must try their home cooked food. Apt for family and solo travelers. Has a very nice balcony with a beautiful city view. Secure parking available. All facilities in a walkable distance. Prime location!! If u are in Coorg I highly recommend this place. Special thanks to host Ms Madhu Uthappa for extending my stay in a short notice.
The entire stay was quite pleasant.
