The room was very spacious. Decent size bed looking over the lake. Large bathroom with the biggest shower I’ve ever seen. The staff are extremely friendly and always want to help and do more to make our stay more enjoyable. Location is good. Lots of peace and quiet and not too far away from the main tourist attractions in the area. We had dinner one night and it was good, however the breakfast was very average with not much choice. Vegetables and steamed buns only.

In only 2 nights and 3 days, we must have had 10-15 bugs/flying insects in our room that we caught and released out of the window, even though we never had any windows opened any other time. It was very hard to find the hotel. We had to call when we arrived for someone to come show us to the hotel as it’s location isn’t perfect and hard to find. Breakfast was disappointing. Just a few cold vegetables, steamed buns and boiled eggs.

Away from the noise and bustle but close enough to get into town. On a small lake, kayaks available. So quiet and peaceful. Beautiful scenery. Comfortable facilities with amazingly warm, friendly and helpful staff.

I have been living and traveling in China for 6 years and this is by far the best hotel stay service I have encountered. The staff were kind, attentive and very helpful. The food was delicious, the view from the balcony is incredible and the rooms were super clean. Highly recommend it to anyone who is planning a trip to Qiandao lake!

I loved that this place felt out of the way in what could be a reasonably touristy area. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, offering to arrange activities, booking taxis, and taking care of us. The place has a nice cozy feel, wooden decor, lovely views from the terrace and balcony rooms at the top, though no elevator so be prepared to climb! Food is excellent. There is free kayaking available from right at the hotel which is great fun. Tricky to get other places without a car - will bring my bike next time - and can go for walks but along the roads, no trails. Perfect for a couple day quiet retreat.

The hotel is relatively small and located 30 minutes of walk from the town at a small, quiet lake. This gives unique privacy and pleasant isolation while being close to some restaurants and The Beertown with brewery, bars and other attractions (e.g. carts). The owner is extremely hospitable and helpful in providing tips and suggestions for activities. He serves good, home-made-feeling food and can accommodate the needs of vegetarians. Kayaks are for free. Room is spacious and clean.

Nothing not to like. Just be mindful that for rooms at the top floors (6) some stamina is necessary as there is no elevator.

We were very satisfied with the hospitality of the owner - he was extremely friendly and helpful. He helped us to book tickets for various activities (hot air balloon, paragliding, VR stuff). As we don't speak Chinese, he helped us to order dinner via the app. Late check-out was allowed. The breakfast was amazing. The view was stunning. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere if you want to escape from busy life in the city.

Loooove the location, only a five/ten minute drive to nearby tourist spots/bus station etc, but the hotel is located tucked away down a back lane behind the mountains so it's super quiet and sat right on the water. The deluxe king rooms are spacious and comfortable and the bathrooms have fantastic showers with good pressure and never an issue with hot water (even at peak time when the hotel was fully booked). Breakfast is Chinese style but simple and delicious steamed buns, eggs, fruit etc and there is also tea/coffee available. You can request to have lunch or dinner at the hotel too, just ask the boss in advance - i had a simple but wonderfully tasty lunch on my last day (ask for the aubergine dish!!). The boss is fantastic and happy to assist with any problem, and you can contact him through Wechat anytime. He will also help you book tickets for attractions etc at discounted prices, can arrange a taxi to pick you up from the train station on the first night, and can assist with planning your day, just ask him for recommendations!

Our rooms were not properly made up for the first two days (but the boss was quick to sort this as soon as we told him) and the wifi connection was not so good in the bedrooms. Apart from that, no issues at all!

Fantastic service from the host! Best Chinese breakfast ever in 9 years in China! It was a great view out of our window. Very clean and authentic room. I highly recommend to stay there if you want to escape from a big city and spend time in a country side like house with comfort.

Very friendly and beautiful location. It was nice and secluded so I was able to enjoy the nights sky.

I LOVEEEDDD my stay here and will be definitely be going back to visit again! The hotel itself is immaculately clean and off the beaten track - so it's quiet. It's nestled on a little inlet from the main lakes and there are plenty of small walks you can do in the area to see a little bamboo forest, little villages and farms along the river. It was so so peaceful with fresh air and many hawks flying above! The room was nicely decorated and the view from my room was amazing! The bathroom and shower were super clean and great water pressure! Then there is the food!!! The owner goes out of his way to make delicious meals - the breakfast was incredible and full of flavour and choice. He made me dinner and catered to my vegetarianism with delicious, healthy locally grown produce. He showed me walking routes and was very helpful and getting me sorted with transportation. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for peace and quiet and to reboot from city life! This is hospitality at it's finest!

Nothin! Again - it's a little off the beaten track so if you're looking for tranquility this is the place! It was a little cold as it was in the middle of winter but the heater in the room worked well and the owner gave me an extra cozy blanket!
