It was a good spot for graduation weekend

The house was great! Perfect for our group and Nate was easy to work with and very accommodating. Location was good for seeing the Keweenaw.

Stayed here for a ski vacation with friends and family. Nate was super nice and accommodating. The house was clean and well appointed. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit.

We had a great stay at this property! Clean, comfortable and awesome amenities. The location was perfect to get out and explore what the UP has to offer. The hosts, Nate and Jess were very accommodating and great people. Can't wait for a return trip.

The cabin was a great location for us since we were up jeeping. The place was super clean, and Nathan was very easy to get ahold of if I had any questions. We would all stay here again.

Enjoyed the stay house was great

Great place to stay for our family. Our kids especially enjoyed the pool table! It was clean & having 2 bathrooms was great. One weird thing was no dining table in kitchen, but there’s really no space for it. Tv trays were ok for that. Please was quiet & clean. Nate was great to communicate with & even allowed a late check out if needed. Seriously love the Keweenaw! Thx Nate for allowing us to stay.

Geat stay!

The pool table and surround sound was fun! The kitchen was nice and the bath towels were amazing :) The laundry equipment was epic... meaning it was huge. You could wash two and a half loads at once and still have room in the washer. I want one! As for the kitchen, it was clean, but could use a few additional items, such as a large bowl for mixing or serving. We ended up using the small cereal bowls so it was fine. The only other thing I would mention is that there is no real table to eat on, but they have bar stools and a high counter and enough TV trays to use. Also, the shower in the upstairs bathroom is amazing! Just a bit hard to get into and the mirrors in the upstairs bathroom are hard to use for us short people ;) Not knocking any of this place, as I give it 5 stars, just want others to know! I would most DEFINITELY stay again.

This house is exactly as described and better! Everything works, the cubbards are stocked with all kinds of seasonings. The pool table is a godsend, we came with 5 teenagers and 4 adults. The 2 master bedrooms are great, and plenty of room for the kids! The washer is so nice we dont have to go home and do laundry. The location is perfect for site seeing. We would stay here again, and again, and again. The owner is so nice, checks on you to see if you need anything or have questions. He was very accommodating, when our boat to Isle Royale was delayed do to weather. I can't say enough about this house, except this is the place you want to stay! Very nice grocery store across the road.

This was a perfect location for us. We visited Houghton, Eagle Harbor and Copper Harbor. Very nice accommodations and host was responsive. I recommend this location if you need a place in the Michigan UP!

Easy to find, nice and clean house, Nathan made are stay comfortable and relaxing, was always able to help with anything we needed. I would stay again.

This property was as close to perfect as we could get for our group of 9 snowmobilers. The host was so accommodating and worked with us every step of the way to make our stay perfect. The jetted tub was great to soak in after a hard day on the trails. We had 4 trailers and trucks and there was room for all to park. The pool table was a bonus for our group! As was the tap! The kitchen was spacious and had plenty of room to cook.

This property would be amazing for a friend getaway or evening home base for snowmobiles and ATV gathering. The pool table made our weekend so fun! We came up to enjoy a long weekend with our boys who attend MTU. Kleenex and better TP we’re a couple creature comforts that would have improved this weekend as well as well as living room furniture that didn’t belong in a frat house. Just expected better for the price point. Make sure to bring cozy socks as the tile floor gets chilly. We missed having a kitchen table to gather around and look one another in the eye but now we know that is important to us when we shop listings in the future. Overall it was good and would definitely be perfect for the right group.

Having never been to Mohawk, MI before, and having never used a VRBO place in the U.P. before, we were not sure what to expect. But this was a pleasant surprise! The house is large, clean, updated, comfortable, and centrally located to get to anything from Houghton north. Nate, the owner, is easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay at The Red Door Retreat once again. Nate and Jess are wonderful and we love staying at this property while we visit the Keweenaw. We look forward to our visit in 2023.

quiet and worked out well for our trip to Isle Royale

Awesome house, everything was as expected and Nate couldn't have made the check in easier. Would definitely rent again.

This was a wonderful place, it’s location makes driving North or South on the Keewenaw a breeze. You can reach Houghton in less than 20 min or drive North to Copper Harbor in about 30min We were here to rockhound and enjoy the beaches with our young kids, but this is a sweet setup if your snowmobiling, definitely geared for that. The place was very well stocked with everything you might need, and when we needed a baby gate the owners were right on top of it, going out of their way to get it to us that same day. Can’t say enough good things. Stay here.. you won’t be disappointed!

Our main visit is to Michigan Tech but we enjoy the house so much we don’t mind the drive to Houghton. The unit has everything we need to work remote or watch the big game.

Great place to stay! Very clean. Lots of room. Less than 1/2 mile to trail 3. Been here twice and plan to return!
