Cottage was very clean, well equipped and home from home. Downstairs had a really cosy lounge with Skye tv and a fully fitted kitchen with everything you would need to cater at home. upstairs was more like being in a hotel, the bedroom has a very comfy king size bed with lovely bed linen and wardrobes had ample storage for clothes. Bathroom was vey nice with large bath and shower and all the little extras for washing and grooming and some lovely soft white towelling robes were provided. Location is excellent with everything on your door step and added bonus a very useful parking pass for all car parks in village. Owner was on hand and very helpful if needed at anytime.

Location - easy to walk to all facilities. Parking card for free use at car park only a few minutes walk away. No problem. Although on busy street, very good sound proofing

One or two issues about settling in to a different place to home. Easily sorted with calls to host.

A lovely long bath and fluffy towels added a touch if hotel chic.

Noisy late night revellers leaving the town and a few cars passing below the bedroom window early in the morning woke us up. I guess we should have considered that possibility when booking such a central location.

An outside area to sit and have a drink, when it’s sunny and you have returned to the property from a day out you want to sit outside.

Brilliant location and very cute. Hosts were super helpful when I said I needed extra bedcovers and they were flexible about an earlier check in time too which was great

My only negative is that although it is a lovely cottage, Cosy Cottage isn’t actually that ‘cosy’. More throws, blankets and cosy cushions would help, both upstairs and downstairs. Also although it had a fabulously boujie bathroom, it was hard to run a hot bath - the water running out of the tap didn’t stay hot long enough.

As the name suggests very cosy cottage for two. Centred in historic market town. Great for local shops and walks. Wonderful surrounding countryside

The cosy cottage was perfect in every way. The facilities especially in the bedroom and bathroom would not have been out of place in a 5 Star Hotel. Towels superb. Parking Disc/voucher excellent. Location for eating out and the lovely local shops was ideal. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending 6 Mitchelgate and will positively Return.
