The property felt like going back in time with true beauty in its architecture. The rooms were classic examples of life in another time but had all the modern con veniences of today. The staff was very gracious and the breakfast was nothing less than phenomenal

Beautiful castle-type inn with wonderful woodwork and large rooms. Feels like an old manor house in England. Very comfortable beds and excellent lavish breakfasts. Easy 10 min walk into town. Highly recommended

Loud AC unit

Our time at The Norumbega was lovely! The friendly staff, gorgeous grounds, great location, and exceptional breakfast made our weekend one for the books.

Our room (Canaervon unit) would benefit from some minor cosmetic updates, i.e. new silicone in the bathroom around the tub and vanity. Also, the bed was incredibly squeaky—not sure if it was the mattress or box spring or bed itself but every time we moved it made so much noise! These things did not make a huge impact on our overall experience but I am noting them here given that we travel often and it’s the first time we notice them at a property of this price point and star rating.

Exceptional place to stay with beautiful architecture and rooms. Grounds were great. A very restful and elegant place. Great gourmet breakfasts.

Bed was a bit hard for my taste.

Stunning views! Looks like a postcard! Best sleep ever in the most comfy bed and pillows! Amazing gourmet breakfasts served every day! Location was just perfect! Inn Keeper, Sue, was simply the best! Can’t wait to come back!

The breakfast was exceptional.

Beautiful venue with original charm. Carissa welcomed us when we arrived and we immediately toured the Inn. You inevitably meet everyone involved with the Inn, and it was lovely to engage with Sue and tho we didn't make reservations for dinner, we witnessed Phil's humor and passion for food and hospitality. We were invited and welcomed in the sitting room/library to enjoy a beverage and a game during dinner though we didn't have reservations and we were cared for the same as tho we had. It was a unique and genuine experience, love the atmosphere and what they stand for, hope to be back soon!

The location was perfect- close to downtown and Camden State Park. We walked the very quiet side streets down to the water. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. The room and deck were just perfect. Clean and quiet. Don’t get me started on the breakfast- it was all mouth watering. Kudos to the chef!!
