What a perfect little retreat! Pictures did not to the space justice as several updates have been made to the cottage since. Cell service was spotty, but that made it even easier to disconnect and relax. Aaron, the local contact was delightful and super helpful. Would absolutely book again!

The house has everything you could possibly need for a weeks vacation . The location is beautiful and so relaxing . Our whole family enjoyed kayaking, jumping off the dock and fishing (really good fishing) throughout week. We left the property only a few times, one time for blueberry picking at Bartlett’s Blueberry farm which was amazing and highly recommend

Awesome perfect little houe with lake access. Everything was perfect. The area thankfully was quiet overall. But noise carries here, so you can hear conversations from boats on the water and even people across the lake.

The 4 kayaks were a hit (2 for adults and 2 for kids (under 130 lbs). We had a blast. Very happy that the cottage came equipped with linens. Tastefully decorated and the beds were comfy. Plenty of seating for the 5 of us in the common areas. Though, we spent most of our time sitting by the dock or in the kayaks. There is a little bit of a steep decline that leads to the water which may present a problem for very young kids or adults with mobility issues. However, the high elevation also gives the house a sort of perched feel. ENjoy!

Lazy Days Cottage
Just perfect! The cozy little cottage is nestled in the woods on Chalk Pond. The neighborhood was quiet and mornings looking over the water were so peaceful. The cute house was spotlessly clean and well appointed with everything thing you could possibly need. Our stay was short and full of obligations elsewhere so we didn’t have time to take advantage of the water toys or grill outside. Next time we will stay longer. We definitely recommend Lazy Days Cottage.

Quiet and peaceful in a world of solace
We really enjoyed staying here. During the day, we took our mountain bikes and sea kayaks on different lakes in the area and sometimes before we headed out and always in the evening, we were in the water at the pond. We enjoyed their plastic river kayaks and sit on tops-or I did because I am at the 130 LB. weight limit. It was great, because you are slightly submerged. I also brought my big tube. That pond is a big bonus. If you are foodies like us, bring your sharp kitchen knives, (which we did) large forks and stainless pans. Otherwise the kitchen was well stocked.

A Relaxing Week, Lakeside
The week we spent at 78 Gerald Dr. was just what the doctor ordered. The surroundings were peaceful and we had no chores to do! We spent the days reading and following the sun from dockside to the two decks! A lovely place to recharge and reconnect with our adult children.

This cottage was fantastic!Check in was super simple with the keypad and the cottage was stocked with everything we needed. There are only two rooms but plenty of beds for everyone to get their own with clean linens. One downside about the setup, is that walls between the rooms do not go to the ceiling, creating an open space between the rooms and the living room/kitchen. So you can hear between the rooms and the living room very easily. The kitchen was well stocked with several pots, pans, and cooking utensils which we made good use of for breakfasts and dinners. There was some basic spices, sugar for coffee, we ran out of oil but had bought some at the grocery store. Grocery shopping was easy, the Hannaford is only 10 minutes away and had a lot of great options for 3 days of meals.The TV had a cast so we were able to cast things to play on the TV from our phones without a hassle, very convenient since we didn't have to move to the TV just to put something on.The best part is all the amenities around the cottage, the pond is absolutely amazing! There were several kayaks and a paddleboard in a shed near the cabin which we took out onto the pond, it was a bit chilly but kayaking out and being in the water was very relaxing. The pond is not too large which was good for the nervous first time kayakers in our group. If you didn't want to go out in the water there was a deck area to relax on that oversaw the pond. Can't wait to stay here again!

This house was absolutely perfect. It was impeccably clean, lovely and well appointed. It is small, but I was aware of having a more open floor plan, so brought a white noise machine so my kids to sleep- it worked perfectly.
Aaron is an incredible manager- the house was SPOTLESS and there were a number of kayaks and a paddle board for use. The pond itself is quiet, and very private compared to nearby Sunapee. The kids spent hours playing and running back and forth between the house and the pond.
There is blueberry and rasperry picking nearby, and I recommend The Sanctuary for ice cream!
My kids are already asking when we can go back- I cannot recommend this property enough- we had no need to contact our hosts during it, but Aaron was very communicative at check out and I have no doubt would have helped with any issues had we had any. We plan to return!

Fantastic stay!
The property was very clean and the amenities like the fully appointed kitchen, bath & bed towels & linens, and 2 kayaks fur guest use were great perks. The owner was great to work with also - very pleasant and prompt in answering any questions. My husband says the fishing is great, he went out every night and caught at least one large fish (large mouth bass, small mouth bass, perch, sunfish). There are no motors of any kind allowed on the pond, including electric. The walls truly are "open" at the vaulted ceiling, so noise from the living room can / will definitely carry into bedrooms... if you have little kids and worried noise might keep them up, take into consideration. It did not detract from our stay at all. We brought a white noise sound machine and kids slept great with no issues, although we did keep our voices quiet and the TV on low volume. We have an 8-year old and a 5-year old. The park is about a 5-7 minute walk down the quiet dirt road to the entrance of the association, it has tether ball which our kids loved learning how to play and the tennis courts are immaculate - bring your rackets if you play! The association beach is 2 houses away (less than 1 min walk); It's not the fine sand but more of a rocky texture (again non-issue for use just FYI for others), and there's a small swimming area and a dock the kids had a blast jumping off of. We had a fantastic stay, really enjoyed it.

Perfect vacation home!
This property was exactly as described in the summary and photos. Chalk Pond is beautiful and quiet. The property is surrounded by trees and is very private.
The inside of the home is nicely furnished and clean. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The wall unit air conditioner helped keep the place nice and cool for the first few humid days.
All of the appliances are in great condition and the gas parlor stove was used a few times when the weather changed!

Cute Cottage Close to All
This adorable cottage on Chalk Pond was just what I was looking for. Waterfront access for kayaking and relaxing on the dock, nearby hiking trails and antique stores. A short drive to Lake Sunapee/Mount Sunapee. We even made friends with a chipmunk whose burrow was under the stairs. The property manager was wonderful.

Great quiet place to relax and enjoy nature!
The Laze Daze is a great place to unwind. The cottage is super clean and fully equipped. Chalk pond is peaceful and a great place for kayaking and swimming. We even made friends with three ducks that visited us on the dock every evening. The beds were extemely comfortable and the kitchen/living area are open which was good for spending time talking and eating together. Short drive to Sunapee Resort and amazing mountain view at the top!

Nice home but challenging with 2 small children.
We enjoyed that the home was clean, fully stocked and had pond access with the kayaks which we took full advantage of. However the bedrooms did not have ceilings and while the view to the vaulted beams was beautiful, it was logistically very difficult with a 16-month and 3 year old for naps and bedtime - since every noise and any lights on in the house could be heard and seen in the bedrooms. The yard was very sloped in the backyard towards the pond, so you really had to hold little ones hands for every movement back and forth from the dock to the house. Access to the small beach was very close though and neighbors were very friendly! Activities at Lake Sunapee nearby were geared more towards older children. So a great place for a family with not such young infants and toddlers!
