Clean modern spacious villa with outstanding beautiful views

Not able to walk to local amenities

The villa was well equipped inside and providing a lovely (albeit small) swimming pool which I and my kids loved. The location over looking the sea was spectacular. The walk into the town of Calheta is steep which we enjoyed but not for those who are less fit or able (taxis are easily available - use Bolt app - a tip from a friendly Covid secure employee at the airport 👌) Highly recommended and already talking of rebooking for next year.

We loved the location and looking over towards the sea. The pool was just perfect especially on the days where the temperatures were really warm. It was perfect for a relaxing stay as it was really quiet and the facilities were brilliant and especially the BBQ. You definitely need a car to get to the shops as the hills are really steep. However if you love walking then this will be perfect for you as it will be a good challenge.

There is nothing to add here as we really enjoyed ourselves and it was very clean and safe.

The house is spacious, well equipped, you get exactly what you see on the web. The bedrooms - at least 2 of them, were very decent size, not typical for a 3-bedroom house. The view is to the sea, not the most spectacular you can get on Madeira, but good enough. Regarding the pool we have no opinion, as we did not use it. If you are fit enough you can get down to the port by foot in 10-15 min.

The house lacks some privacy in the yard - the houses down and above look directly to the pool and outside sitting area, and since this is a residential part and people live in these houses constantly, this means they can see you and you can hear them all the time.
