'Dood's Ranch', cozy mountain cottage on horse farm in Waynesville!
'Dood's Ranch' est un cottage de montagne pittoresque entièrement rénové situé dans une ferme équestre à environ 1,5 km du centre-ville de Waynesville et de tout ce qu'il a à offrir. Vues à long terme sur Wolf Pen et les monts Lickstone sur le porche, et vues sur le célèbre Eagle's Nest Mtn depuis le pont latéral spacieux. Cette maison idéalement située de 3 chambres à coucher et 2 salles de bains comprend une cuisine complète, un salon confortable avec Internet par câble et, et une salle de bains principale avec baignoire.

The house itself is very nice and clean, and overall my sisters and I enjoyed our stay. The caveat is, we are all in our 60s with various and sundry physical limitations. It's quite a haul walking up the sidewalk and the steps to the front porch with luggage if you have physical limitations. That being said, the inside staircase really wasn't a problem. The front porch and deck are very nice, but the views aren't quite as bucolic as the pictures would suggest. The owner is very nice and super responsive and the location is very convenient to everything in Waynesville.

Great location, very clean, and great communication with owner. Very convenient to area stores and restaurants. My only recommendation would be the addition of a king size bed in one of the bedrooms.

Overall this is an extra nice older home perfect for a vacation getaway. Very close to everything Waynesville has to offer. I would stay again if in the area for an extended period. Everything was as described except there was no gas grill. The charcoal Smokey Joe Weber worked fine for what we needed, but you might want to check if you will be grilling a major meal.

Lovely little cottage with a sweet view. So close to downtown. Plenty of space and very cozy. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved this house. It was perfect for travelers who want to get to Waynesville, Asheville and the Smoky Mountains. Rooms are large and kitchen well equipped. The steps are a little steep but once you get in everything is just lovely. The owners were very reponsive and friendly. I highly recommend.

We absolutely loved the property. The house was spacious yet cozy. Easy directions to the house and you are only 5 minutes from downtown but you felt like you were in the country. Definitely worth the drive from Florida. Will definitely come back. We also had a treat of hitting it at the right time for the leaves changing and saw snow!! We loved the whole experience.

Our group of 3 friends enjoyed the property. It was nice to have our own rooms plus ample space to hang out together. The house was clean and Bill was very responsive. We would stay again.

The house was great. The steps going into the house was a little bit of a challenge but so worth it. The house is so nice and located within 5 minutes of everything. We had a wonderful time. And it is exactly the way it shows you in the pictures.

This home is conveniently located to downtown Waynesville as well as Cataloochee ski resort (which was our main activity). We will be back when we visit Cataloochee again.

Another wonderful stay at Dood’s Ranch. This home is so co for table and better appointed than most of the vacations homes we have rented. Bill is a very attentive homeowner, and he made us feel very welcome. Will definitely stay here again.

Wills house was absolutely 💯 amazing! Fully stocked kitchen with every kind of herb you need for cooking and all the major necessities! It was really a pleasure waking up to fresh coffee looking out over the mountains watching the dear in the field below. Afternoons were spent on the outside patio deck enjoying a cocktail taking in fresh mountain air. Truly a great vacation stay! We will definitely be back. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!

From reservation to check out this was an easy low stress great experience. Property was clean, great location and owner was responsive regarding a couple of questions that came up. I would stay here everyone if coming to the area.

We booked a very last minute stay w/ the McCrackens. The owners always responded quickly & ensured we were comfortable The home was very clean, beautiful view, comfortable beds & furnishings. We were very close to restaurants & shops. Perfect stay. We will definitely be back!!
