The room we stayed in was very nice with 3 large windows each with a balcony. It's very close to a lot of bars so there was some street noise though this was fine if we shut the windows

As we were travelling by bike and we wanted to be sure that we could get into the hotel when we arrived, I had written via booking.com requesting check-in between 5 pm and 6 pm. The hotel replied that this was fine and that, as they didn't have a secure place for the bikes, we could keep them in our room. We turned up at 5.15 to find the hotel firmly shut. There were 2 phone numbers to ring if they weren't there. I tried both several times but no reply. After a while, a workman turned up also wanting to get in. He rang a (presumably) different number to be told that the reception would only be open at 6.30. This was annoying as it messed up our plans for the evening and showed a lack of concern that they didn't stick to what was agreed. When we did eventually get in, they said the room was too small for the bikes. Also annoying though this sorted out in the end. The moral of the story is that the hotel seems to be very short staffed and so expect there to be problems with checking in!

Very old hotel, but elevator, so it was perfect. The shower works good. Good location, many restaurants nearby, Chisteria just up the street , was wonderful. Breakfast at York at the square.. Walking streets , and a wonderful park, with a music tree..you need to see it. Nice walks at the river banks.

Very comfortable room right in the centre of town.

There’s often no one at reception and although there’s a couple of phone numbers posted on the door, we had to wait 45 minutes to check in.

On arrival the door to the property was locked and no one present to answer the bell. We called the hotel number and was greeted by the host who did not speak any English or understand my rubbish Spanish. She ended three calls from us before we finally utilised the kind services of a receptionist and the hotel next door to translate for us. Apparently she has been in the property the whole time. We had almost given up on our €56 and left to find an alternative. Once in she was very amenable. Apart from my bedside table being dirty and the shower being placed two foot from the base of the bath everything else was fine

Comfortable rooms. Lovely little balcony overlooking the street. Friendly staff. Great location.
