Great location and beautiful surrounding
Service and attitude of staff was so-so

It was clean, but that was it
There was this muffy smell everywhere. The rooms are really really old. You share a balcony with other rooms. The breakfast buffet was empty really quick and they didn't refill.

Very good comfortable rooms. Great breakfasts and close to the beautiful lake and mountains. Although a big hotel it was very nice and quiet and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Clearly a favourite place for hikers and summer water-lovers and also a great stop-over spot along the German Alpine Road.
The hotel was advertised as being in Schliersee but it was actually 10km away in a far smaller town on another lake. Very beautiful but not what we expected.

location, breakfast and friendly staff
restaurant was just closed for 3 out of 4 days and we weren’t informed before arrival. had to drive away and shop on day 2.

Hotel is a bit old

Grest staff, clean, flexibility to keep our luggage after checkout, ski bus stop within 100m, breakfast ok. Overall very much what we expected and paid
Reception desk was at times without anyone, at times breakfast room run out bread (after asking this was fixed immediately)

I booked a last minute 1 night vacation for my free day. And it was absolutely amazing for the price we paid. I enjoyed my 1 day vacation to the fullest. There was so much to do. The view of the lake was great.
Nothing catches my eye.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Staff at reception were very friendly. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Dinner was excellent.
I was informed that the hotel was open for dinner in the evening. Which was great. However, I was not informed that I should book it. This resulted in having to wait for a seat. In the end I had to share with another person in a remote corner beside the bins! Visitors should be informed that booking was necessary. Having said that, the food was great!

Location was good for attending a family wedding. Village was lovely but not a lot was opened. Breakfast was good, and also food at the restaurant.
Not hotels fault but there was a noisy group of ladies that came back late at night and then continued making noise.
3.8
The restaurant food was great and we could hear and see the stream from our windows balcony.
The breakfast ran out of various items at 9 am when it was supposed to go until 10 am.

The location, the room was clean.
Very mediocre breakfast, bad & cheap machine coffee, food running out early and not being replaced. You’re in an area with amazing fresh produce and offer jam in plastic packets and dry scrambled eggs? The woman spent more time spraying the surface of the breakfast than seeing what food ran out and needs to be replaced. When I used the wrong cup at coffee machine, the milk overflowed (easy mistake to make with different cups) the woman serving breakfast proceeded to stand over me, tell me off, then stand behind me and make fun of me with two hotel guests in a queue, never experienced behaviour like that in my life!! Especially not as a guest in a hotel. Absolutely no manners, and no respect for paying guests. The rooms are dark, small, cold, have absolutely zero sound proofing and very tired cheap decor. After asking for a quiet room, I was allocated a room right on the staircase (room 14 already mentioned in another review as being the nosiest!) where there is obviously continuous noise from people going up and down, also late at night when people come back to the hotel after evening out. So I did not sleep much the first night. The manager offered a different room the next day which was better, but preceded to ask me what I heard and tell me about 20 times that there is only an old couple up there, that you would only hear the stairs if they were wooden and no one was going up the stairs late at night. When a guest is paying almost 300€ for 2 nights and tells you that a room is noisy, please believe them and stop questioning them to try and invalidate their experience. If you’re a hotel manager surely you would know this is the noisiest room in the hotel. Also in the all 'fees & taxes' included booking, the local tax was added on top. Never again.

The location, the bathroom and the balcony were really great. We had a view at the lake and a bathtub that fits two people perfectly. The breakfast was good too and the food in the restaurant downstairs was really good especially the Schnitzel and Apfelstrudel.
The pillows were not the best, the walls were a bit thin so we could hear loud noises from other people and the street and two of the staff members didn’t speak German well enough to understand my short email about my husband joining us on the trip and him staying at my double room. But the issue was solved eventually and they were very friendly.

Very friendly and helpful staff, both on reception and in the restaurant. Good breakfast, but an excellent meal evening meal in the restaurant - would definitely recommend, even if not staying overnight.
Quite cold until we'd turned the radiators on to warm up the room. Also quite a lot of noise coming from the hallway outside the door, but luckily not late at night so didn't disturb sleep.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My request to have have breakfast at 7:30 am was made possible. Rooms were clean.
The sauna opening times from 6pm to 9pm are a bit useless since most kitchens in Spitzingsee close at 8pm, so there is not much time to enjoy the sauna. Breakfast starting at 8am is too late, long tours are not possible with such late breakfast. The hotel and the rooms look aged. No tee kettle in the rooms. Too expensive for what you get.

we loved this hotel. It has very clean rooms; staff are very friendly and helpful, the dishes are delicious. thanks.

The location within 5 miutes walk of the lake was the best feature.
The village is also a nice place to stay, very relaxed.
The hygiene of the beds was perfect!
The hotel was outdated in style (80's).
But the beds and hygiene were good.
