We stayed for a week at NAU Salgados Palm Village. We loved everything about our stay especially the food, activities for the kids, the spacious suite and amazing hospitality. Our kids loved the kids club, particularly Marta was fabulous, she is extremely good with kids, she's an all round entertainer, dancer and performer. We can't wait to come back for another holiday here. Thank you everyone for making our stay memorable.

Comfortable and spacious apartment. Enthusiastic entertainment by the kids club team!

The room was very good and the welcoming gift was nice extra and we felt welcomed. Car parking under the building was super good and worked well. Some things during meal times were very thoughtful, like ice and sliced lemons and it was also very good that you could pour your own water from restaurants to take out to pool area.

The worst thing was plastic cups in the restaurant in every meal. We were really surpriced about this and it took almost a week to get used to it. Also red and white wines were not drinkable. Housekeeping was too late for us, they came 3pm to clean up.

Rooms are big

Cleaning standards are low, facilities generally need to be updated. Staff have no manners and don’t know how to behave with customers. Nasir in the restaurant was nice. Products provided low quality ( like toilet paper or drinks offered, such as juices etc). At check out reception did not even asked if we liked our stay or anything. You need to provide all your employees ( restaurant, reception, housekeeping) proper customer service training.

Good choice of breakfast, lunch and dinner. View from room was good. Room size was great. Lots of sun loungers by the pool. Good choice of drinks and lots of snacks to choose from. Frequent shuttle to beach and back throughout the day.

One air conditioning unit broke and wasn't fixed. Housekeeping was not good, needed to call reception a few times to change towels and replenish soap. One time the room was left with dirty footprints from cleaners.

Quiet location and lots of swimming pools

Too busy and hectic and room Very scruffy & dated. Entertainment terrible for adults as just one giant kids club all night! Hardly any English spoken so couldn’t really understand either. Unfortunately we felt like we were back at haven caravan park and just waiting for Rory the Tiger to come out speaking Portuguese at 11pm!

Large spacious and comfortable apartments, 2 double rooms, living room with sofa bed, and 3 bathrooms with a wrap around balcony.

All inclusive food was not good, not much variety they served the same food everyday which got boring

The property has plenty of pools and a good access to the beach. The bedroom was big with a big balcony as well. There was possibility to have a cot in the room. The daily cleaning services of the room were also really good.

Unfortunately there were loud guests with their personal music very loud and close to the pools and the hotel staff couldn’t manage correctly the situation. The food in the all inclusive was not of the best quality and the booking systems between the 3 restaurants is very annoying, It was the first time we had such a booking system in a all inclusive hotel. The bed was not comfortable and had some sort of Mattress protection that was Plastic or so and did a terrible noise when moving in the bed.

The experience was bad and the sofas were broken TV remotes were not working ! The property was not clean. The food is average as it is mass cooked

Not like the property as above! It is overcrowded and with children crying all over! Never book it again

food wasn’t as good as last year I know the chefs are cooking for the masses but there wasn’t any love in the cooking

All the meals were exceptional and choice was very good. The room had an amazing view over the golf course. The room was very spacious with an extra large balcony. The pools were very clean and well maintained. The bar service is fast, well stocked and very accommodating.

The check in process was poor. We have stayed before so we knew the process and location well. We were asked to check in online before we arrived, which we did. On arrival we were waited for ten minutes to check in while the three team members behind the reception continued their own communication. We were eventually greeted and asked to pay for our room again, in error because our details had not be read properly. We were not given the meal booking details, event details, towel booking process or an all inclusive wristband. Very poor.

The location was perfect. Beautiful resort, very well manicured! Our room was lovely and really spacious. The staff, especially the entertainment guy (karaoke) was sensational.

The food was not up to the standard I would have expected.

The room we had was exceptional.. wonderful view, kitchen facilities etc.

The bar, wasn't very welcoming nor the toilet. But adequate.

The hotel layout is fantastic, the buildings are positioned in a way that they can have pools in between them, so everyone is always near a pool. The restaurants and bars are also easily accessible. The food is good, with sufficient variety, and I especially enjoyed the grill restaurant. Soups and desserts were highlights almost every day, really tasty. Checking in was really fast and easy due to the fact we could do a pre-checkin online. The kids club staff itself was kind and joyful with the kids. They have created a children's character called Zoing (a large, green, furry alien) which a few times a day comes say high to the kids, who just adore him.

One of my daughters can't eat dairy (which we mentioned in the pre-checkin form), so whenever we went to the italian restaurant we asked the head waiter for a pizza without cheese: on Sunday and Tuesday there were no issues, but on Thursday (when the head waiter was a different person) he said that the kitchen refused the request and did nothing to solve the issue further. Besides this we had other occasions where staff was not very helpful or kind, like when I asked which milk was the lactose-free and which one was the soy milk, to which the response was a sarcastic/angry "the soy milk is usually darker, isn't it?". Somedays the cleaning personnel would leave 5 sets of fresh towels (we're a family of five), other days they would leave just 4 sets for no apparent reason. Activities at the kids club were generally a mess: many either required parents to participate (missing the whole purpose of a kids club) or were not organized activities at all (e.g. twice a day the activity would be to setup in the main pool a large inflatable slide that children could use, but there were not any activities/games). On the few organized activities we've had cases where they started 20 minutes late, started 20 minutes early or completely cancelled without prior notice. One night at around 11PM a group of young adults coming out of the bar decided to chant/scream as they walked around the hotel, and security took well over 15 minutes to deal with it after I (and other guests) have reported it. There are several signs of disrepair across the hotel: damaged elevator doors, cracked bathroom floors and walls, humidity-related damage to outside walls. There are not enough sun loungers (or proper space for them), which leads the guests to improperly "reserve" them for the whole day using their pool towels. This means that at 9AM they're almost all taken, with only a few actually being used.
