The location was great, in centre of town, close to shops, River Avon walls and Monkton Park. The room was very quiet and comfortable.

Our single overnight stay was to attend a family party at another venue. So unfortunately we were unable to make full use of the facilities.

It was clean and comfortable. Large room with a lot of space having a mixture of antique and modern furniture.

There wasn’t anything that concerned us.

Nothing to dislike

Spacious car park. Having the facilities to iron garments in the room.

No lifts, the room was very warm. I tried to open the window but it wouldn't stay open. The restaurant menu didn't cater for those with dietary needs e.g. diabetes; high cholesterol. It was an old building with character meaning the floors and steps were uneven.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly. It was decorated really nicely and looked much nicer inside than what I expected of a Best Western. They were able to accommodate the fact we couldn't check-in until 23:00. It was nice that the price of the room included access to the pool. The hotel is right in the centre of town so it's easy to get to and, considering we stayed on a Saturday night it wasn't noisy outside.

The room was very expensive for quite a small room - we were booking last minute so we didn't have much choice but to pay. It was also expensive considering the price didn't include breakfast; we did not pay extra for breakfast. I have actually paid less recently for a spa weekend (including treatment) at a 5* hotel. The room was also extraordinarily hot, even with the large fan on and the window open. And it had not been a hot, or even a warm day. The corridor outside the room was also really hot and it felt like it lacked ventilation.

Old world charm.

Room was too hot with barely any ventilation (Somerford). Dinner on first night was disappointing. Didn't eat again there until breakfast last day and that was only because Sarah Jane's was closed. Toilet was not as clean as it could be and the vanity mirror was thick with dust.

Poor lighting around large mirror in bedroom. Bathroom mirror placed to high. Very dark bedroom without the lights on.

Location was excellent. Close to bus and train station, shops and groceries.

Place is old, furniture worn, bathroom floor is on a 6" slant from one end to other. Weekend front desk staff incredibly unhelpful.
