We loved the place. Nick made sure we were checked in ok. House was super clean and comfortable. Cool deck with fruit trees. Neighborhood is very quiet. Pet friendly. We have nothing but good things to say. Thank you Nick for letting us stay!

This bungalow turned out to be ideal for my husband, 2 adult dogs and me for a one month stay. It is a quaint early 1900's home, with a fun backyard. It was winter and rained much of the time we were there, so didn't get to enjoy the sitting areas as we would have were we there another time of the year.
The house itself gave us much more space than a hotel would have with a living room, kitchen, bedroom and large walk-in closet. The house is old, and in some cases, shows its age. But, don't let that deter you, as it is cute and historic, which we appreciated. The owner, Nick, has been updating the the house(s) on the property. You'll be able to see some of that in this charming unit. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed -- nothing fancy, but the usual: dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, pots & pans. It also has standard spices, ziploc baggies, foil and things of that nature.
Back to Nick, he truly made us feel like we were friends visiting, instead of a renter. As you'd expect in an older home, sometimes things don't work as we'd like. He addressed issues immediately, so that we were not inconvenienced. Again, better then dealing with hotel staff if something weren't working in a hotel room.
The location is super easy access to couple major freeways and downtown San Jose. On the fun side, it is very near the main part of Willowglen, which offers a lot restaurants, some shops, nail salons, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to here rent again.

We really appreciate the host’s accommodation. He was very kind. The hot tub was great. The backyard was eclectic and fun.
The accommodation itself is in need of care, for example, closed doors, mold remediation, new paint, repaired fencing. There are loud train hours at least every hour making sleep pretty impossible.
Our family worked hard to clean and leave the space better than we found it. Thank you.

Comfortable beds, clean, outside areas were nice, lots of nice plant life, but sitting outside on the furniture, we would have liked the cushions cleaned. This location is right next to the train tracks. We slept fine, but should bring ear plugs just in case.

Nick was very accommodating of our needs and an excellent host. The property was beautiful and the bungalow was exactly what we needed. Having the hot tub available to us was an added bonus.

Great location, running/walking trails close by (Three Creeks Trail), and coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Nick was quick to respond and very hospitable. :-) The train didn't bother us a bit.

I am a travel nurse who stayed here for 6.5 months with my husband and daughter plus our two dogs. Nick was great to us our entire stay and was attentive to any issues that popped up while we were there. This is a very safe area with a lot of parks within walking distance if you have children. There is a sitting area behind this house and a mini golf green that my daughter loved. There is a pull out couch that we used for guests, and a big walk in closet with plenty of space. Staying here was an overall great experience. We would stay here again if we found our way back to San Jose.

The host was great!
The stay was good and the host was great. There is a small train that comes by several times a day just FYI.

Owner was very accommodating when we and our pets needed to be out of our house for a weeks. Property is old and needs some work, but owner is improving it. Kitchen is updated and nice. Bathroom definitely needs updating. Still, owner addressed issues that we had promptly. He was very welcoming and friendly. Note that property is close to train tracks for commuter train line.

If you ever plan on staying in San Jose please checkout the willow glen bungalow you won’t regret it.

The house and property was horrible. The hot tub was not accessible due to fallen trees blocking it, construction work was being done on the premises, tools were left out making it hazardous to walk. There was trash down the side yard. The inside of the unit was slightly dilapidated I would not recommend this place. The property manager was a very nice guy however it did not outweigh what I was stuck with so disappointing.

Relaxing and Cute
I stayed here for a few days so that I could be close by to where I was taking the bar exam. I wanted somewhere quiet and relaxing, and that’s exactly what I got. The property owner was very nice and helpful. The place felt like home for a few days.

Nick was very friendly and accommodating. The kids loved the putting green in the backyard! The granny unit was clean and had a lot of charm. We ended up not staying the whole time we had booked because the evacuation order on our house had been lifted. Nick was very fair with how the situation was handled.
