This place was awesome for a get together. 7 of us girls got together for a weekend to hang out. The lake was beautiful and the deck was our favorite place to sit. Frank was so easy to work with and very responsive. Highly recommended for all ages.

Been coming here for several years, gets better every year. Hope to continue the family reunion for many years to come.

The house has more than enough space, bathrooms and bedrooms! Very nice place to stay

Plenty to do, great kitchen, nice lake

Pros. The house was quite big with a ton of fun stuff to do. Board games. Puzzles, air hockey, ping pong, fosball, ect. The lake is a very peaceful lake. Cons. Every other house on the lake had a dock, a floating dock, paddle boards, and lily pad. This place only had old kayaks. The stair way is in the middle of the living area with no possible way to put up a baby gate because the railing is rounded. Summary. The actual house was very nice and could appeal more to people that prefer to just look at the lake.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The home was clean and we thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks, swimming and all the local spots!

This home was amazing!! It was the perfect size for my family. The beds were very comfortable and the lake was awesome. If you enjoy fishing this is the place to come. It was very relaxing. The only negative comment I have is the decks had not been cleaned and the grates on the grills were not cleaned. I believe we were the first ones to stay for 2023. Overall, we had a great time. Will be booking again!!

The home is well taken care of, the kitchen is stocked with all that is needed for a home away from home trip. We ended up with a winter storm that kept us in for the weekend and it was perfect!

Unfortunately there were a lot of things that did not meet our expectations as VRBO renters. Upon walking in the home- it seemed like we opened it up for the first time this year. There was a very musty smell in which we had to purchase odor eliminator and baking soda to help with the mustiness. Upon inspection of the beds we found mold on one of the comforters. We had to rewash all the bedding on all the beds. All the rusted outdoor furniture had to be scrubbed down before we could use it. The grill doesn't work correctly and was never cleaned after the last use. There were bones and cheese all over the inside. We had to brush down all the cobwebs and sweep both the upstairs and downstairs decks and the yard needed to be raked as there was feces all over, before we could use any of it. The house seems like it has not been maintained much. It poured here and the gutters look like they haven't been cleaned in quite a long time which could be the reason for the water stains on the master ceiling. It was hard having 10 people shower and use the sinks when none of the drains worked properly. The upstairs TV is broken with a line running down the screen, none of the remotes worked we had to buy batteries, bugs and all the light fixtures, dresser drawers broken, beds were very uncomfortable, underneath every bed there is a lot of dust and toys balls etc, pillows are very old and stained, sheets were stained, we couldn't use the ping pong table all the balls were broken, there were no hangers in the closets, we had to put owners personal stuff away to utilize the kitchen and dining room. We used the vacuum and the canister had never been emptied and had a horrible smell when we used it, the mop stinks horribly... We are disappointed since we had to pay a cleaning fee and clean and open this home up ourselves. The contract stated the home would be clean and fresh for our stay. It was far from it. Overall we made the best of it but it felt like someone let us borrow their lake house, not that we rented a property from a business rental company. It did not that meet our expectations for the amount of money that we spent. It was a little strange seeing post it notes stuck all over explaing this and that as well. The pictures that are used to advertise makes it look very deceiving. We ended our week long vaction before the 5th night. Huge disappointment as we paid for 7.

house was nicely decorated . the location was very relaxing . enjoyed the supplied kayaks on the lake. we look forward to another trip in the spring

Absolutely beautiful property. My entire guest group was blown away by the views and the amenities. We are very appreciative of the host and their property!

Perfect for our multi-generational weekend. Enough bathrooms and beds, comfortable chairs, beautiful lake view and easy access to the water.

Wonderful week of just taking it easy. Everybody got to swim, kayak, and just take it easy. Week - as always - went too fast.

We love Cable lake but this was our first time at Summerwind. Such a great house with room for the extended family. The private beach and kayaks were amazing we enjoyed the 10 min kayak ride to main beach on occasion . DVD collection was great and we enjoyed some classics in the one rainy day we had. Loved our stay!

Plenty of room, great deck and waterfront space. Kitchen is perfect for large meals. 3 bathrooms is great! Check-in and checkout were easy. Hope to make it back again!

We had 7 ladies on this trip. A beautiful spacious home. Everything we needed right there. The lake was clean and quiet. Perfect little spot for a quiet weekend getaway. Props to whomever stocked the DVD collection! The only thing I would bring next time would be a small light for the deck. We spent quite a bit of time outside enjoying the lake and playing cards on the deck. After sunset it’s a bit hard to see and the porch lights don’t offer quite enough light for that.

Very nicely set up for children / family/adults. Plenty of room. Also, lots of indoor activities to keep children occupied during inclement weather.

The inside of the house was very clean and spacious and looked very similiar to the pictures on the VRBO site. However, the outside is in need of attention and a thorough cleaning. That would be my only recommendation. Once you are in the home and on the water, you will totally love it! There's plenty of activities for everyone to do. We especially enjoyed the kayaks! The lake and surrounding area is very peaceful! The owner is wondeful to work with. We will definatley go back again!

Very Clean and Spacious. Plenty of parking in the long driveway, RO filter in the Kitchen is a nice touch. Air Hockey and Ping Pong came in real handy when we weren't in the lake. Like an earlier review mentioned,(unfortunately it was post booking) there is no cable or satelite. There are physical TV's but no service. Fire pit is on a slant so sitting around a fire is dangerous especially for younger kids. Minor details, but for premium pricing, I dont think it unfair to expect certain things.

Our group spanned grampa's to 4 year olds. Kayak races, belly flops, awesome fishing from the rowboat, chasing minnows in the shallows, chasing fireflies, catching sunrises. Quiet time or hilarity~ the location and house was perfect~ large space, a huge collection of DVDs, board games, books, game room, 2 grills, extra fridge. Thanks Frank for a great stay!

This is the second time we stayed at Summerwind. And we can't wait o go back next year. the home is spotless and this year there were new appliances. the weather wasn't the best but there was plenty to do to keep everyone busy. The lake is the best, clean and quiet. the family enjoyed kayaking, fishing and just floating on the peaceful water. A beautiful home for a family vacation. Of course a trip to Driftwood is required for ice cream and arcade games. And a bon fire to make somemores was perfect in the evening.

Great family vacation spot!

The inside of the home was clean but the deck and patio were not. Leaves and spider webs on furniture and deck/ patio. The pot and pans need to be replaced. There was no cable TV , not even basic although there were a lot of movies. The lake had a mud rather than sand which was disappointing but all said we had a great time. Home has lots of room inside and out and loved the kayaks. Neighborhood was nice.

The house was in great shape with a lot of things we needed.

Large place, great place to stay with a lot of people. I suggest bringing floaties and own lawn chairs for the beach.

We enjoyed our stay at this property in late September. The lake was beautiful (but too cold to swim) and the fall colors were starting. The house was much larger than we expected and was very clean. Our kids (3 yo and 1 yo) LOVED that there were toys at the house. We enjoyed takeout from a bunch of nearby restaurants and breweries. Kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to make simple dinners or breakfasts for hungry children. Extensive DVD collection for rainy fall nights. Neighborhood was very quiet. Nearby access to downtown Dowagiac, the forest preserve, and numerous farmers' markets. All in all a great place for a long weekend!

Summer Wind was amazing! We really had a lovely time enjoying to peace and quiet, along with the fun boats and beautiful yard and deck. I have to say this house is also perfect if you have kids. There are tons of toys to discover and our 5 year old was really excited. The house was huge, well appointed and totally comfortable. I highly recommend if you are looking for a nice quiety getaway with your family.

We loved Summer Wind on Cable Lake! The lake is no-motor so we had peace and quiet. Would have been better if there were more yard on the beach side for outdoor games. But we managed.
