We were so thrilled to find some pre-packaged pastries and some juices for us for breakfast for the next morning. Our kids loved the treats. The pizza place across the street was delicious as well. The location in relation to FCO was fantastic - very easy to return the rental car and get to the airport for our early flight. The off street parking was actually in a gated lot and we felt very secure.

The location around the building was a little rough at first appearance, but we never felt unsafe at any point in our stay. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

It was a very nicely kept apartment and large size. Very convenient distance to the airport. Owner was attentive to a problem with the key.

Stunning 2 bed apt, spacious floor for sorting suitcases, easy walk to a bouldered beach. Clean, comfortable beds, extreme kind touches of extras. Extremely secure door and windows.

Owner left lots of snacks and drinks. Unit was left with everything we needed and the owner had good communication the whole time.

We liked the quaint, warm feel of the inside space. Nice welcoming touches with snacks and drinks. We also liked the short walk to the canal and the restaurants nearby.

At first arrival, the neighborhood feels old and tired.. we were a little concerned by the appearance. However, we went out, walked to the canal, ate dinner and did enjoyed the community festival that was going on. Our initial uncertainties were overwhelmed by embracing the community and family run businesses. As a result, we experienced a “living community” of Italy vs “tourist Italy”.

The location was very good. There is a lovely fruit/veggie market just below the apartment, and a minimarket next door. Across the street was a wonderful pizzeria - the Il Solito Posto 2. Also lots of restaurants within a few minutes walk, many along the Tiber. We visited the Ostia Antica (Parco Archeologico di Ostia Antica) with some well preserved architectural remains of early Roman harbor city.

The description on Booking.com states each bedroom has a Queen bed and a Twin bed - this is not correct and should be changed. The rooms had only a Queen bed in each, so we needed to use the sofa bed for the additional bed we wanted. Also the kitchen was not well equipped for cooking our own meals, but did have the basics.
