This is located in a former monastery and the cloister is the primary feature. The grounds in front of the hotel are pretty. Parking available. Very Quiet. The bathrooms in the rooms are very nice and several WC's located throughout the property (a rarity in Germany).

The entrance to the building is sterile looking and totally uninviting. Rooms are super basic. Although a former monastery used for religious retreats and such, this is a hotel and does not need to be so basic. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. Only a few pieces of meat and cheese available. No boiled eggs even though the container was sitting empty. Only one type of bread and then only a few rolls at that. Could not drink the hot chocolate. The self service machine topped off the hot chocolate with coffee. The stay was okay but would not stay again. Just not impressed.

The location was really beautiful, if a bit far from everything. But it was quiet and relaxing, and right next to the river. Bicycles are complimentary, which helped with being a bit off the beaten path. The staff were amazingly friendly, not only by european standards but even american standards. :)

Breakfast was very basic, and the room a little depressing, like being in a nursing home. The beds were hard and the pillow was so lumpy I couldn't find a flat spot to rest my head. That said, they provided a few options for night two, which helped a bit. But if you like a super super hard bed, this is your place. If you have a normal body, this is probably going to be a bit rough when you want to sleep. It also looks like a dorm room, which for me was ok, but a little bit of an ick feeling.

Quite area and hotel. Clean room, good comfort.

The wifi was not performing well. I had to use my phone as hotspot. No TV in the room but with the laptop we can replace it.
