Breathtaking Views, Canyon Ferry Lakefront!

We stayed 3 nights with 4 adults and 4 kids. The house was just the right size and had everything we needed for cooking and hanging out. The kids loved the kayaks and the dock and the rocks for swimming. Adults spent most of the time on the upper deck -- amazing views. The house was cleaned and well-stocked and communication with owners was smooth.

We had a great stay. The only suggestion would be to note that the sandy beach with fire pit image is not on property.
The home and location was fabulous and we loved our stay.

The house was very clean and had all the basic necessities such as coffee pot and pots and pans etc. The view of the lake is perfect and so relaxing. Lots of lake toys to choose from and a place to dock your own boat. The family enjoys it every time we come and can’t wait to come back again.

We brought our adult children with us on a 25th Anniversary trip and everything was perfect! We played in the lake, caught some really nice trout, ate yummy food, watched movies, read books, did half a puzzle and slept in. It was wonderful! The house is exactly as described and the communication with the owners was great! Thank you for the memories!!!

Nice house. Thought it seemed small at first but we had good room for five adults and three toddlers. Great deck out on the rock. House was good for meals and after dinner relaxing. Boat dock and separate rock area at the water were both nice after getting accustomed to the access trail. Will stay again!

Stayed for 5 nights, great set up for having 2 families enjoy a vacation together. Really enjoyed the deck overlooking the lake and being able to use the kayaks to explore the area. The house had everything we needed, appreciated the well stocked kitchen and use of the outside grill. Highly recommend!

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay! The home is spacious and comfy. The views are spectacular. Our family kayaked to the island and enjoyed the second plank to sit on the rocks too. The deck is better than the pictures! The hikes near York were our favorite.
We would definitely recommend and/or return!

An absolutely beautiful place to relax. The home is well described, but the views must be experienced! The home was well prepared for our stay and owners are great to work with. The drive from Helena is simple. The lake sunrise was amazing with birdsong and we enjoyed walking to several parks and beaches nearby.

Awesome place directly on the water, with amazing deck overlooking the water. And functionable dock to pull up your boat (we had a rental from marina across the lake). Very clean and comfortable place --kids loved the upstairs kids bedrooms. and adults very happy to sit outside and enjoy the nature and views. Owners were super -- loved the stay.

Communication could not have been better, all my questions were answered before I made the reservation, during our trip planning and at time of arrival. The home is as described and offered a perfect weekend escape for my family. We especially loved the deck as it felt like we were high in the trees overlooking the lake and boating activity. Although there are nearby neighbors privacy was not an issue. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Great spot on the lake
This was a great spot for my family and friends. The house is set up perfectly and feels welcoming. The deck was fantastic and we had quick access down to the dock. The owners were very responsive when we had an a/c issue and repaired the issue the same day. We’re hoping to stay again next year!

Beautiful lake house
This was a beautiful property and home. There were 5 adults, 1 teen, and 3 dogs. The home is beautiful, well maintained, and has a stunning view of the lake and sunrise. Unfortunately we were here during a cold time and were unable to experience all that lake life has to offer. I guess that means we’ll just have to come back when it’s warmer.

Quiet relaxation
The pictures for this property do not do it justice; the property is cuter in person and has amazing views. The property was clean and the kayaks were so fun. The owners were quick to respond to any questions. A great place to stay!

Amazing views!!
We loved our week at the lake! We woke up to amazing views from every room. The house was clean and so nicely decorated. It had everything we needed. The lake was low when we went so the steps down to the dock were a lot for our older guests. Kyle and Liz were awesome with communication. We would definitely stay there again!

I have been a VRBO renter for 20 years and I prefer to rent homes that are run by the owners (not management companies) who are also nearby. Liz and Kyle's cabin fit the bill. The site is beautiful and the outdoor deck, more like a living room (!) is fantastic. The cabin is updated with new bathrooms and nice, beachy, feminine decor. The kitchen is older but functional and the washer and dryer are stackables that work great. The cabin is on a septic system; the owners do not impose restriction for waste processes (I have stayed in cabins where we learned we may not use TP until after our arrival.) However, you should be careful with the sink disposer and I will know better next time I rent this house. Water is sourced from the lake, so the owners provide large water bottles in a dispenser for drinking and cooking. The cabin has a large functional (and vented) fireplace and heat is provided by baseboards units. Air conditioning is provided by loud in-bedroom units, and there is no cross ventilation in the two downstairs bedrooms, which is a disappointment when living in Montana. The upstairs is NOT full height in the hallways (5.5ft) and the doorways into the two upstairs bedrooms are only about 5' tall. With a spiral staircase going up. So this cabin isn't suitable for 3 or 4 adult couples - it is better for two couples and kids in the upstairs.Working From Home (WFH) is a little tough in this house. Internet is satellite, not cable, with 30Mbs down but only 3Mbs up, which makes file uploads and zooming and internet calls difficult. Cell calls are pretty good out in the yard facing the lake. We will return, however, but by then we will hopefully have Spacex internet that we can bring with us (or the owners can install.)Liz and Kyle are responsive hosts and they checked in with us from time to time if we weren't asking for something. (We had a big weather change and they wanted to make sure that we knew how to operate the heat.) We wanted to recycle when we could and they took our recycling to the recycling center in town rather than us having to do it.Liz and Kyle provide great bath and beach towels and lots of toys and kayaks and life vests and oars for the lake. Hammock, chair swing and a fire pit, too. Bruce, the next door neighbor, is super sweet. Pretty green grass and landscaping around the house, too.We have needed a new base in Helena because we travel here often. We are looking forward to returning.

My family and I had a memorable time together in the perfect setting of this lakeside property. The views are excellent and everything on the property is well cared for and thoughtful. OF the various home kitchens we have visited in the last 6 years, this was the best appointed. Dinnerware and flatware that felt like home not a fishing cabin. There was a set of matching wine and champagne glasses. We did fish though. A guide was very helpful as the fish have gone deep by late September when we were there. We also went into town servers times and found the locals to be generous-hearted and welcoming. The kayaks and dock are great. You will see LOTS of wildlife. The home itself has a large central space which was perfect for our family of 5 adults. The promontory deck is a unique and special space. I found myself getting up everyday before dawn so I could see the stars then the sunrise. Our hosts were EXCELLENT. Helpful with great communication. I absolutely and unequivocally recommend. Have fun and take your camera!

Awesome Family Reunion
This is an outstanding place to stay with more than enough toys to enjoy my favorite lake on the planet. Plenty of floaties, kayaks, etc. You can rent a pontoon from Kim’s Marina for a day, and it’s an easy dock to pick up your group.
Beds are all comfortable. Deck over the water is incredible. All was clean.
One small caution- the level of the lake water can change greatly. The pictures of the shoreline can be a little deceiving. It can be a little challenge to get down to the water for elderly or little ones.
Hoping that we can come back next year.

Beautiful stop on our way to Glacier
BeAutiful house! Beautiful lake! Beautiful Montana!
The deck that extends above the lake Is the absolute star of this house. Early sunrises, Morning coffee, sunset dinners, and night time star gazing - all of it so magical while sitting on the deck.
We brought our boat and although it was a long tow from Portland, we’re so glad we did! Fishing, tubing, and exploring the lake really made our stay at the lake full.
Communication with the owners was great. House is beautiful. Kitchen stocked with all the tools you need to cook. We made a stop at Costco on our way in and were set for the week.
We hope to come back!
